I've lost track of how many I have run since last week, but it has consumed most of my playing time so lets just say "a lot."

In that time, I have opened up and slotted a boost in all four new incarnate powers on two different characters (tank and defender). About half of the boosts are tier2s and 1 is a tier3.

I have lead some, and I have followed. I have failed and I have succeeded. I have been on Leagues with stalkers and others with only 4 buff/debuff characters (surprisingly we completed that Lambda). I even got the Master of BAF badge when someone asked on a lark if we could try going for the AVs at their spawn point instead of pulling them.

Frequently, after running two or three in a row, I would get burned out. So sometimes I logged off, or I went to sell, craft, and market. Or I went to the wall in Cimerora to try out my new powers. We also did a ship raid, which was awesome with all the new incarnate powers firing off left and right.

I have enjoyed it immensely, but I do tire of the repetition occasionally. I understand that some people don't like them. I'm sorry it's not for you. But it has really added to my game enjoyment. I was getting bored running the same old stuff and this gives me four new trials/TFs to do. After I get a little more "incarnatey" I'll go back to running a variety of content with these new events thrown in.

We tried this last night and succeeded in earning the Master of BAF badge.

I'm not tired of them yet, but probably getting close. My new plan is to organize an LGTF/APEX/TIN then double it for a Lambda, then add another 8 for BAF, then do a ship raid -- all without leaving RWZ.

Thank you, Tsumiju. I just read your Master BAF guide and it answered most of the questions. Nicely done.

I have questions:

1) Do you get the badge after killing both of them at their spawn points or after their second, must-be-killed-within-10-seconds, death? If the former, couldn't you kill them at their spawn point and THEN move them to the center?

2) How much can the AV move, if at all, to get the badge? Could you hug the buildings close to the spawn point or do you fail if AV moves 1 inch?

I don't like GECKOS!

I'm enjoying the new content and the new powers (except for the bugs) but I can respect those that don't.

What if you could start the trials with less than the minimum numbers, even though that would be a guaranteed failure?

I would run them solo when things get slow just to see how far I could get and to pick up a little XP and some drops.

Steps to a successful Lambda Run:

1. Experienced leaders: You need to have folks leading the teams that know what to do and know how to communicate with their team and the other team.

2. Players willing to listen and follow instructions: This includes having the right chat channels open. If you don't like the way the leaders have set it up or you think you have a better strategy, you should have a discussion about it afterwards or start your own and run it your way. There are a couple of timed objectives in this trial that will cause a failure if you wasted time arguing.

3. A balanced team: I'm sure that once everyone gets the hang of it and we have some more Incarnate abilities under our belts that we will have all [insert AT] teams successfully complete it. For now, unless you are an elite, well-oiled super-team, you are better off with a nice mix of aggro control, buff, debuff, and damage.

As far as my particular strategy: We clear the road of mobs until we get to the door then rebuff and clear the courtyard of mobs, then jump up and clear the turrets. It's not required to kill all of them but it makes it safer and this part is not timed.

After clearing we enter the central building, take down the giant robot and rebuff. The leader should make it clear for everyone to WAIT before entering the elevators to get buffs and to make sure everyone is ready because once the first person enters you are on a 5 minute timer.

The two teams should each follow their leader into the appropriate elevator after the "GO" is given. Since this is a timed objective, I recommend that people just destroy the blinkies and ignore the mobs. I know that this is easier said than done for some ATs and players. But if you don't already have super speed and some kind of stealth power, you may want to consider at least investing in a +stealth IO (jump or run) and stick it in sprint (or your favorite sprint substitute). It helps if the tank and/or leader has a targeting macro to quickly find the containers and caches. Well, it helps for any and all players to have one, really. If one team gets all ten, they should immediately go help the other team. Every matching pair buys you more time so you should have at least a little bit of time for the second team to make a difference.

Once all temp powers have been acquired or time runs out, we give all the temp powers to people who know what to do with them. Make sure that everyone checks their temp powers and hands them off to the designated players. While the temp power swaps are going on, people should be rebuffing.

So usually the lead tank gets all the grenades and one or two people get all the acids to get the doors. Again, this isn't necessary, but having one or two people fail to use the temp powers properly can lead to a trial failure. Once the doors start coming down, we try pulling some of Marauder's friends to thin the herd a bit, especially the psi-wielding seers that can destroy many tanks.

Once thinned, the lead tank announces that Marauder is the target so that everyone knows to switch to that target and the lead tank is charged with keeping Anti-BaBs pacified.

This strategy has worked for me every time, except for one time because the lead tank had not run the trial before.

Welcome to the wacky world of diminishing returns. Most of your power attributes inside of a PvP zone are subjected to a formula where the sum of the attributes (personal powers, enhancements, IO sets, and external buffs all added together) are reduced if they are beyond a certain minimal amount. The greater the sum of the buffs, the greater the reduction.

So perma powers are no longer perma, soft-capped characters are no longer soft-capped, etc.

I always get the sound loop bug in that Tin Mage Mission. It usually happens as I am approaching the hallway where Levantera normally stands.

I want new, pretty things. New opponents with new powers that do new things in new places with beautiful effects.

The thread I mentioned started the discussion. In that thread someone, maybe Starsman, suggested adding -range to taunt and then the discussion moved to another thread.
