    You can blame EvilGeko.
  2. I am not big into the architect, but I think this is a wonderful idea.

May I suggest that you declare a certain zone when you visit so that we don't have to bounce between just about every zone to find you.
  3. I always find this to be the best objective source:

Be careful checking the old guides. Some of them are VERY out of date and the information in them is no longer accurate and some powers have been changed completely.
  5. Very cool stuff. Ominous Voice is very talented but not just musically. He has a gift for pulling out the essence of a person, place, or thing and turning that essence into sound.

My favorite is the Porcelain Mask -- creepy, ominous, and child-like. It's like going to a carnival with Stephen King.
  6. There are a lot of different philosophies as to what makes a good build or a broken build. But the universal one is making a character that can kill many things before it gets killed.

You also mentioned PvP. A good PvE build might be horrible for PvP and vice versa. Memphis Bill, for example, said that pure "h3a10R" builds are terrible. While I agree with him that an empathy defender with only one attack is sub-par for PvE, that is a standard and desired build for PvP. A PvP emp is not expected to do damage, but IS expected to keep himself and his team alive and able to see through stealth.

You don't necessarily have to copy builds, but you should certainly look at what other people post for the powersets you plan on playing. Look at lots of different ones and see what they have in common. Get Mids Designer and take on of those builds and play around with it. Make changes to powers, slotting, enhancement selection and see how that would change the build.

And finally, there is a world of difference to me between a broken build and a highly optimized build. Some people will tell you unless you have perma-hasten or soft-cap defense or a perfect attack chain with huge DPS that your build is broken. I disagree. There are lots of very playable builds that can solo spawns and help their team steamroll through content

Anyway, good luck and have fun!

This is a problem that should be fixed on their end. I have many friends for which I have numerous repeat entries because I have a habit of running down the team list of TFs and checking everyone's global. There is no good reason why it should repeat names. That is a programming error.

Hmmm . . . how about a travel power that damages, like shield charge or lightning rod, but includes the other travel modes as well. Like:
    - Jump high into the air and crash down on your enemies, shaking the ground.
    - Swoop down from above strafing energy from your fists.
    - Super speed (with Neuron after image effects) and spin around throwing punches or energy.

Or maybe some knock back/down/up powers with extreme effects like punching someone into low orbit or over a tall building.

A couple of things I have always wanted as a power:
    - A giant fist that grabs an enemy and deals damage over time. So it's a hold and a DoT. If we can color it and/or give it effects (fire, ice, electricity, gaseous) it could work with just about anything.
    - A "reverse force bubble" to push a large group in towards you, also customizable.
    - A combination of those two, which would be an object, like a fist or a wall, that repels enemies. Basically telekinesis with a viable graphic.
  9. Ahhhh . . . when MTV actually meant Music TeleVision.

  10. No 80s pack would be complete without:

  14. I don't like micro managers in life, why should I like them in the game?

But I don't mind a general statement of what we are doing. I definitely would not join a +4 ITF kill all unless I was level 35 and wanted to hit 50 in the next 2 hours.

  19. Here Come My Frie-ends

  20. Here is a planned respec for my Tri-Form Peacebringer that currently has a hodgepodge of SOs, HOs, generic IOs, and the odd set IO.

My PB philosophy is to be a jack of all trades, master of none. I can blast/scrap/tank/heal but not as well as one of the specialized ATs.

I use human form to travel stealthily with super speed and a stealth IO or phased in quantum flight. I also use human-form to be a poor man's defender with stimulant, a minor heal, and a rez. My general routine is to cast stimulant on squishies, launch photon seekers and buff myself with hasten and build up. I then launch into Nova and blast away from a distance.

Dwarf is reserved for times that call for some taunting, I have to break free of some mez attack, I need an extra heal, or want to use teleport. I tend not to spend too much time in dwarf.

So feel free to comment, post variants, or post your own builds.

    Thanks!
