  2. "The time has come," the Walrus said,
    "To talk of many things:
    Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
    Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
    And whether pigs have wings."

"But wait a bit," the Oysters cried,
    "Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of breath,
And all of us are fat!"
    "No hurry!" said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.

"A loaf of bread," the Walrus said,
    "Is what we chiefly need:
    Pepper and vinegar besides
    Are very good indeed--
Now if you're ready, Oysters dear,
    We can begin to feed."

"But not on us!" the Oysters cried,
    Turning a little blue.
"After such kindness, that would be
    A dismal thing to do!"
"The night is fine," the Walrus said.
    "Do you admire the view?

"It was so kind of you to come!
    And you are very nice!"
    The Carpenter said nothing but
    "Cut us another slice:
I wish you were not quite so deaf--
I've had to ask you twice!"

"It seems a shame," the Walrus said,
"To play them such a trick,
After we've brought them out so far,
And made them trot so quick!"
    The Carpenter said nothing but
    "The butter's spread too thick!"

"I weep for you," the Walrus said:
    "I deeply sympathize."
With sobs and tears he sorted out
    Those of the largest size,
    Holding his pocket-handkerchief
    Before his streaming eyes.

    "O Oysters," said the Carpenter,
    "You've had a pleasant run!
Shall we be trotting home again?'
    But answer came there none--
And this was scarcely odd, because
    They'd eaten every one.

    Hey! I was here first!
  4. When there's an pancake on your team, you get pancakes.
  5. A farming kin doesn't need more damage in its attacks because it will cap damage with fulcrum shift and then can keep it capped.
  6. Looks pretty good.

I still think that you have over 4 billion (the two PVPIOs) that you don't need. But luckily you are still over the softcap without them. That makes them something nice to have one day but not at all necessary.
  7. Better, but now you are way over softcap on smash/lethal and transference needs acc.

I would get rid of flurry and the extra slots in brawl. That gives you 6 slots and one power pick. Choose either speed boost, inertial reduction, or superspeed.

Put and acc/dam/end or acc/dam/recharge from any melee set on seismic smash; an acc generic or some endurance mod set with acc in tranference,;a recharge in hasten; an acc in siphon speed; a steadfast KB in tough; and an acc in siphon power.

Or you could copy one of the other builds posted.
  8. Holy crap! Ultimus is back and getting incarnated.

Can soloing Hamidon be far behind?

Also: I keep thinking that Incarnate powers are at least a little like your signature powers idea.
  9. DON'T INTERRUPT MY RATIONALIZATIONS!

  10. What do you think stock brokers do for a living?

    Buy low and sell high.

Does that sound familiar to you?

It is completely legal (barring insider trading).

Ah yes, that makes sense now. I'm so used to slotting similar IOs into passives and always on toggles that I forgot. Thanks!

Still, not bad to slot Kismet for times where you might want some extra accuracy. Just toggle PFF on and off before engaging.

PS. Since this is an old build from before getting fitness as inherent powers, you could add in speed boost, increase density, and super speed so that you could be a better team mate when not farming. All three could be beneficial with just the base slot. Generic endurance modification for SB, resistance for ID, and endurance for SS. And if you ever get that gladiator's armor +3% defense, you could slot it in ID.

It is soft capped to smash and lethal, the most common of attack types, uses about half the endurance, has more recharge, and is cheaper by about half, if not more.
  13. I estimate that it would cost over 12 billion in influence. You have 3 PvPIO uniques that each go for 2 billion on the market and frequently sell for more than that outside of the market. And then you have complete sets of Gladiator's armor and Shield wall and multiple purple sets.

For all that, you have decent recharge, but low HP, about 1/2 way to soft-capping defense on any position or type but none actually soft-caps.

You stuck a bunch of procs on hot feet, which is fine, but it has no endurance reduction. Hot feet is one of the most expensive toggles in the game. If you run hot feet and your leadership and defensive toggles you will probably find yourself without endurance after fulcrum shift and a few aoes -- probably before transference is up again.

You could rely on your self-heal, but that requires hitting an enemy and you have no accuracy slotted into it.

In short, my friend, your build has many pretty, shiney, expensive things but it does not seem to have any cohesive plan for survivabilty.

It is the Lil John of Fire/Kins.

    Really?

    Hmmm . . . that's a bummer. I'll have to revisit that.
  15. It's also a good place to stick in a karma -knockback and/or a kismet +accuracy. My ff controller has both of those and an LoTG +7.5
  16. The tickets from AE help to keep prices of certain items in the market low by increasing it's supply.

You may have noticed that the price of rare salvage in the market has come down slightly while uncommon and certain common salvage have shot up in price. I attribute that, in large part, to players being able to choose their rewards with tickets.
  17. I got Cold Blooded Flea (Sonic Cold Corr) from 11 to 42 (dinged about 2 minutes before the servers went down!).

I have gotten more levels on prior double XP weekends. But the impressive thing is that this character leveled almost exclusively from running TFs. He has the Task Force Commander accolade, the Atlas Medallion and most of the Geas of the Kind ones badges. He also had a TON of merits that I did random rolls with and am in the process of crafting and selling.
  18. Look for the thread by Fire Kin Master.

There are lots of builds in there for farming. Choose one NOT designed by Fire Kin Master.
  19. I disagree.

I do not think that an AE is required in every non-hazard zone. While it is true that it would be a minor inconvenience for a veteran to get a level one to any other zone, it would be significantly more difficult for someone brand new to the game. If someone want to power level their friends through AE (or any other content) they will find a way to do it.

The point of removing AE from the starter zones is not to prevent or hinder power-leveling or ticket farming or story arc writing. The point is to take the farming and the broadcast chatter that goes with it to a place that a brand new player might find after having at least a few "hard earned" levels to his or her name.

True. You can farm for XP, inf., tickets, recipes, or any other reward that is in the game.

My disagreement was regarding the "cure." I think that developers mislead themselves to believe that farming can be cured. I believe the original team thought that they could cure farming but the remaining group and the newer additions seem to have realized that the best policy is to fix exploits and move on.

Finally, I think that farming means different things to different people. But I think the best definition is repeating a certain behavior in a specific place to obtain rewards. That definition works for corn farming as well as gold farming.
  21. You cannot "cure" farming. Not even if you address the core problems in the game because the core problem is human nature.

People will find the fastest and easiest way to level and then repeat that activity until their goal is reached. I think the devs have finally realized this fact and only seek to stop "exploits".

There is no hard and fast definition to what an exploit is, but I think that the devs define it as any activity that causes a large number of players to gain rewards at an unreasonably high rate.

They can tackle exploits and succeed at eliminating them, even if it's only one at a time. But farming cannot be eliminated because a significant number of players will always go to the next best thing.

I anticipate that CEBR will result in some corrective measure in the near future. My guess is that TopDoc had that result as a goal . . . as he laughs his way to the bank.
  22. Chaos has more money and level 50s than he knows what to do with. Going to beta lets him experience something new.
  23. Gotta run Positron during double XP!

It's the WSF so you'll get double merits and bonus XP on top of the double XP!
  24. I see that Bubble is setting up a weekend to run all the blueside TFs in order and I just may join him if I can figure out what new character I want to level.

    Do you have any plans?

Do you have any suggestions on a new character to level for me?
