Made it to half way through the sketches before halfway through November! Yippeekiyay!
Sketch #23: Allatu
Sketch #24: Nitoichi (UK) & Liberty Girl (USA)
Sketch #25: Zortel -
Lost all time and inspiration and drive yesterday and today, so only got one sketch done - for a change I did one of my own
:
Sketch #22: Columbia
A few people have asked via this thread for a sketch, so, correct me if I've missed anyone, but I think these are the ones left waiting:
Mistress Rad (Crius)
Savage Angel (Gideon)
Molly.EXE (Crazy Dragon)
Daft (Elfuh)
Gall (Gall) -
And then, for PotC 4, someone clicked "Menu: Option: Graphics:" and set Bloom to zero
-
[ QUOTE ]
Helluva a lot of re-enactors used when they filmed LotR as well...
[/ QUOTE ]
Didn't Orlando Bloom say something about wanting to make a fourth film in the trilogy? -

[ QUOTE ]
Try explaining LARP to someone who hasn't got a clue what that means...oh boy do you get odd looks.
"So you dress up in a costume, use foam weapons and then spend a day hitting people with them while pretending to be a caveman down Chislehurst caves?"
and deathly silence follows...
[/ QUOTE ]
"So, do you know what re-enactment is? Yeah, well it's like that, but more fantasy and less chance of injury."
[/ QUOTE ]
This all reminds me of Sharpe - where they populated the entire series with Napoleonic re-enactors (to create a piece of fantasy without any real chance of getting injured). I t wouldn't surprise me if some of those guys were mocked down the local pub one day, then afterwards, when people realized that those guys had been shooting a TV show with Sean Bean in the Crimea, it suddenly appeared pretty cool.
Context, is all... -
I'd feel much less uncomfortable telling someone I RP a crazy scientist who turned himself into a walking compost heap with uncontrollable flatulence, than, say, a superstrong blonde pornstar with a BDSM fetish...
-
I'd like to nominate Doc Destiny for Beginnings - I know the thread started in September, but continued to develop with postings through October. Excellent stuff.
-
I am curious - wonder what was Libby's "moment of weakness"...?
-
[ QUOTE ]
Ha! I'd have thought Libby would be more worried about becoming a parent.
[/ QUOTE ]
Naah - kids are great - you get to watch Basil Brush and Chucklevision and realise they're funny, and buy DVDs of all the shows you loved when you were a kid, and pretend they're for Junior. You get to go to the Panto at Christmas and you can go see Kung Fu Panda without feeling embarrassedIt's all win!
-
Excellent stuff indeed!
Very worrying for Libby, though, in as much as she dies horribly in 3 different futures... -
...and, in the words of the fabulous Andrea True Connection , "More, more, more"
Sketch #18: Tyger
Sketch #19: Rhythmic
Sketch #20: Sekmet
Sketch #21: Leandra -
What Cynic said - I wish I was doing this. Of course, a '56 chevvy to do it in would be mighty cool, but I guess it's better to go with a motor that you can rely on to actually start more often than not
I know you're all going to have the best time - enjoy!
I shall also be reading with a substantial amount of green... -
[ QUOTE ]
Can I make a request as well?
[/ QUOTE ]
But of course - can you link to a screenie, please? -
Glad you like it!
And now - two more. Not entirely happy with either, but it's too late now
Sketch #16: Liberty Girl & Nitoichi
Sketch #17: Starborn
Only 33 to go! -
Marvellous stuff, Cat! Captain America's great - reminds me of Roy Liechtenstein - and No More Music 2 is well groovy! It could be a 1968 boutique poster in Carnaby Street
-
Me and toxophily are hardly intimate bedfellows. The only time I ever held a bow there was a red rubber sucker on the end of the arrow; and that adventure ended when the kitchen window got smashed.
I knew I should have stopped before I got to the bow and arrow in the pic of Trace -

The Bristol international Comic Expo is in...er... Bristol, on 9th & 10th May: linky
-
In response to Sapph's "Do me! Do me! Do me!" I can give her this quickie:
Sketch #12: Sapphic Neko
While, for a change, I decided to stray from CoH just 'cause I felt like doodling a cultural icon:
Sketch #13: Wonder Woman -
To keep to my schedule I should have posted 10 sketches by the end of today - and this lot takes it to 11, so I'm ahead!
It's Ladies' Night tonight:
Sketch #8: Catz (this was all your idea, so you don't escape!)
Sketch #9: Cassandra. Zero
Sketch #10: Alraune
Sketch #11: Tiger White -
This is where multi-builds come in: One decent one from pre-13, and one underwhelming/hideous one post-13.
/e petitions for an option to skip 13 and go straight to 14 -
Very groovy indeed!
I don't suppose I could send you a screenie of Doctor Bindweed, could I?
[ QUOTE ]
...i've had to slow down a little, as i'm having to do designs for a new show, but i should still reach 50
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought at the very beginning that 50 in a month was very doable, but soon came to realize that it takes a lot of time-managementStill - you're not far from half-way and it's still only November 6th! Keep on keepin'on, Doc - you'll get there with time to spare
-
I slipped behind schedule today (already!), so a couple of these were very quick sketches indeed. I'll revisit some of these nearer the end of the month if I can make up some time.
Sketch 5: Cindersnap
Sketch 6: Doctor Bindweed
Sketch 7: Nitoichi
