btw, i did check on thunder strike, and its a melee PBAoE knockback+splash damage as well as mag 2 dis and extreme damage to the primary target, so not a cone, i tried it standing between two mobs, and both were KBed.

Sorry to be picky, but I think you've got some of your attacks muxed ip.

Charged Brawl is lower damage than Havok Punch.

Also lightning clap is definitely not extreme damage, in fact, it does no damage at all, it's knockdown and disorient. I think you may be mixing that up with Thunder Strike which is a very tight cone, extreme damage on target, and has a chance to knockback.

I'm going to out on a completely different limb here and say, if you're willingto wait until i7 for it to get uber effective then give Ice/fire a try for sheer AoE death. With the pseudo pets of ice storm, burn and blizzard bieing effectby aim and build up, plus blazing aura and hot feet, yopu're going to eat through an entire mob like that! Stalth + SS in to the mob set them off with hot feet and ice storm sloted for some slowness and watch the mobs A) hardly move and B) die! Mean while you can hit combustion and Fire sword circle to add to the quick death and with blizzard and consume to get your end back, you really can't go wrong for fast mob elimnation. Purely PvE mind, but an AoE monster in the fullest sense of the word!

If you want to be conventional then Ice/energy has served me well and as great potential in PvP and fast target elimination from any range. Although he's no longer the snow ball spitter he was before ED, I've welcomed the fact that blapping is now the best way to go. It's alot of funand plenty of scope for tactics other than sheer ownage. Don't over look the AoEs if you do a PvE build; Ice storm can be a nice safe slow and frost breath can give nice close range death.

oh and about the debt cap thing with dreamweaver (i presume u met ranger emily), im sure she didnt mind, no one gets quite as much debt as some in ateam with me, especially if they are married to me glad u two got acquainted (but dont get any ideas lol)

right, MA is a stun set, high dmg to single targets, AoE KD iirc (thats area of effect knock down, dragons tail i think). main thing you want to do is have a few accuracy SOs, and a then 2-3 dmg (preferably at least 3 for good dmg attacks, of which u wont need many) SOs, with possibly some stun enhancements if u can fit them in, but test these out vs white con mobs as sometimes they arent worth it, its a long time since i played my mid lvl MA/SR scrapper. the main 2 single attacks can stun, the second more than the 1st, and then cobra strike will stuna Lt, so if u are looking to defeat a boss, u need to get cobra strikes accruracy, stun duration and recharge enhanced, then stack it with one of the lesser stuns to knock them out (w00t).

As for DA im not the expert, but u seem to do ok with me about, a few end reducers here and there, some are slottable for defence as well as resistance, so u get hit less often for less dmg which helps, and make sure ur heals are accurate, often and large as possible, think about the claok of fear etc, see if it fits with ur build (i think its DA and not DM at leas :s). as for the badge, just keep asking on good old coalition (and maybe arena ) and im sure uwill get the portal thingemy mission, u can check ur badges on ur own info from the opotions (options>J) or in the badge list on the nav bar drop down, it should be an achievement i believe if its really there. im a bit hazy on badges, but i know that if u max out all ur contacts at the higher levels u tend not to miss many at all.

hope that helpd a tad, and i will get Ed to swing by and give his views on DA.

oh and btw, if u arent sure about the whole ED effect on powers, as a rule dont slot more than 3 of the same SO into a power, DOs are bearly touched and SOs are unaffected.
(3 SOs now = 100% ish if +3s, used to be more like 111% iirc, 6 SOs was like 222% but is now only about 114% at +3s)

may i remind u that i play witout amouse, and turnspeed at 600 odd % is pretty vital, as is a follow bind (default to most ppl), my GUI bonds save my social life, as i have to talk to sg, sg global, coalition and arena on a daily basis, and i can tell u that clicking is NOT the way forward here, as for the powers, i click when i play on a PC as i struggle to adapt my playstyle, i use INS and DEL to look and on a PC keyboard they arent where i like them, although i am in prime position to use the f keys as a third power tray, i use ctrl+# by default, but keep rarer powers here, the2 most common ones are ctrl+1/2 for aid self and hasten, and ctrl 5/6 is taunt and intimidate one of which is rare and bound, the other is rare and an overkill mez i use.

anyways, each to their own, i have 2 ex house mates who play clicky, while i play binds and numbers, we have seen eachother play and i wouldnt say any1 was less efficient tbh, the thing i suffer on is pvp melee, follow doesnt get me as close as in pve so there is more skill involved where a mouse would help, but meh, i can cope ok

now stop arguing kiddies, and i have 8 lvl 50s isnt an argument heres one tho, i have over 3k hours logged, ooo the burn and ive been mostly AWOL for like 2 months

thanks 'mag n all that. i think that a lot of it is in the person in control, i have fought some atrocious builds (no offence like), in the arenas lookignf or random PvP matches, and some where a person i never saw before haws a great build and doesnt ready guides. pushing ur build is the way to go, as much as knowing ur limits (u dont see me suiciding without someone who can rez now do u? ).

personally as Xan says (and botty too?), any player with a good amount of skill can be devastating in a good team with an average build (see my ice dom, not slotted anything but hover at 26 and it does work to a point where the difference is noticeable when i AFK etc), i think the key thing is to have fun, i could have all my sltos full of 50s if i wanted with the hours i have put in, but i like coming on and chatting and pvping and helpign the sg with mishs and inf and lalalalaa.

so... learn to play better and have fun at the same time, i remember a post i put up saying about who to SEE to get build demos, i know no one ever came looking for me, but if it helps anyone then thats cool, u dont have to have teh c0kie cutter as Xan says, but u have to use it well and the more variety u can show to ppl the better, its now about 13 months since someone showed me that SC was an insane power! had i have not learned that i would still be far less efficient

and as for mag's and all jo0 0thers' statements about my blaster, well i think i may just leave him as he is; hugely gimped but with some mad niche abilities , im gonn save the blampathtroller for the onion i think

just an FYI, although most pets like AT are tangible and hence buffable, VS is neither, as i said before this means u can hit anything through the nastiest debuff patches/AoEs, but u cant get extra dmg from the pet with a def nearby or by running lead.s

what wyx said, luminos also made good points, on test i dropped some range skills and the presence pool, took stamina and ran the leaping buffs with my armour and sprint, managed to heavily slot 2 holds and all attacks (2 raged, 1 AoE ranged) my pet and the drains (ps is 3 recred 3 endmod btw in no stamina builds) and dropped the nuke as the AoE dmg (and control factor) of the elec set doesnt really need a nuke in manty situations, its a luxury imo, but i have it on live.

RE no stmina builds, if u slot endred u will do well (no real need to tho in my build), if u slot recred u will suffer, if u run any toggles u will suffer if u dont watch ur end output, try things on test tho.

the thing with elec is u have to decide what u want to do, then pick 1 or 2 of them, u can choose to stun and KB, or to melee and drain, or to ranged blast etc, then build ur toon based on this.

brawl, ROFL, i know ur not joking weasel, but sheesh, have u even seen the melee attack damage of blasters?

other than that, what they said, especially Wyx, and the comments about using the 500% turn speed option (i use like 650%), use ctrl+tab to target near enemies, use follow, use range if theres no need to run to them, dont think the melees are slow, they have good activation times imo, if u feel u can then slot swift or such like (on test my blapper runs perma sprint, combat jumping, has swift and hurdle (not health) and moves very well in the air). if u happen to b elec primary get the drains in, or ice use the stuns etc, Aoe control 1st is a good idea, if ur energy primary then a radial AoE KB is prolly the best thing u have so aim to one side of the mob (assuming the mob is big enough to warrant it and not just purepwnage).

other than that go see duolos or del on union, or myslef or captain freon on defiant, win.

Is there any chance that for the duration of aim and BU that if u have apet like voltaic sentinel out, it will be buffed, blizzard is intangible but soon to be buffable, why not VS? also PB works when casting buffs like RA, so maybe Aim/BU -> VS, or just as i said before wheere it feeds off your buff?

If it were the case that VS were to become tangible/buff/debuffable i would rather it was left, it alone is enough to own a defender who can't heal even if u are busy being held/debuffed/tickled to death
