  1. No, M_B, he proved my post true far more than yours.
  2. Pretty sure it ain't so. The proc should only roll its chance to fire off if the attack successfully hits the target.
  3. Me, neither. Once Bill is done, I'm done with incarnate stuff. Then it's back to running solo with lowbies, deleting them, making new ones, repeat.

Good to know. In that case, I've been nothing but lucky. First lambda I got a very rare. Also received 4-5 rares. The rest were uncommons.

I have one character who got lucky and has all tier 4s, and it really is not noticeably better than when I had tier 3s. As time progresses, we will also get more trials (so more Emp Merit chances) and other ways to gain incarnate stuffs. Eventually I will be able to craft Very Rare components, if I ever care enough to bother.
Months? I tier4ed alpha and interface in 4 nights.

    Granted, I'm a scrapper with 3 aoes...well... 4 now.

And granted I was running 4-6 trials per night.

Hey, not sure if you know this, but claws for brutes is pretty awesome.

I made that Claws/DA brute. He's a swirling mass of blades, blood, and sand. And awesome.
I still rage at Castle for making brute claws > scrapper claws. Bill's brute clone is in the high 20s. I should take him to 50.

    Killin God.

It was a burnout break. Glad to be back. I once said that I'd be here when the servers shut down and I meant it but I foresee many more such breaks between now and then.

Glad to see M_B's post is still circulating.

Why waste the time coding this into the forums just because people are stupid?

GG and I both have ridiculous post counts. Everyone with a brain here knows that we have those for completely different reasons.

Those without a brain can't be helped anyway.

I see no issue that needs resolving.

    Ouroboros Crash

No change with 11.5s. Client crashes when clicking on arc to open and read it.

Logged back in, disabled Water FX, lockup did not occur. Chose mission, turned back on Water FX to Full, used Aspect to port to contact.

Ok... The portal does not know where to send me?

    Ouroboros Crash

Leave for 7 months and come back to ATI issues... growl. Yea, same issue. Installing 11.5s now.
  12. Is there a fix coming or a workaround that can be used?

    Problem:
Open Ouroboros story arc menu. Click on arcs. CoH client crashes.

    Win7
ATI Video card driver rev: 10.9

    Thanks.

Mods, feel free to delete. Found the other thread with same issue:

T4 in interface and alpha. I'll probably only T3 the others.
Spent 1.3 billion inf respecing him to get my followup, focus, slash, repeat chain.

    The cigar

    Dusk.

The broken land of the Rikti Crash Site is covered with the broken armor, limbs, blood and entrails of the alien invasion force.

Atop a pile of carnage that was once a group of Rikti chief soldiers crouches Bill Z Bubba. His body broken, burned and slashed from the attacks that managed to get through his magical shielding. He grins, lighting his cigar, chuckling at the thousands of attacks that were unable to touch him.

The wounds won't last long. He's made sure of that over the years by crafting new spells to assist him during these sprees of wanton destruction. He's done well for himself. Learned the tricks of the trade. Enjoyed the life he had created away from the mindless bureaucracy of Hell.

He smells the portal before he sees or hears it.

    He sighs and waits.

Tendrils of black and red slide into being collapsing about five feet in front of Bill, slowly coalescing into the form of a man. It smells of Hell. It sounds of Hell. That lovely murmur of the sound of countless souls screaming in pain and pleasure.

Bill's talons slide back out of his fingers as his spine stiffens to launch himself at the devil that has formed in front of him.

"Hold off on the attack, brother. I come only as a messenger."

Bill's right eyebrow arches up as he takes a long draw from the cigar. Damn. "Evenin, Az. To what do I owe this visitation?"

Azmodeus takes a single step forward, finalizing his presence in this reality. "It is time, Beelzebub. The armies are in place. The battle plans are drawn up. Your presence is required, General."

    Double damn.

Bill looks over his elder brother while attempting to locate the tell-tale signs of trickery but finds none. A shudder runs through his body. It's time. It's finally time. We're really going to do it. His eyes flare up as a small smile returns to his lips.

"Ok, Az. I'll be there shortly. As you knew I would be."

Something passes across Azmodeus' face. Something dark and maniacal. The same smirk that had been on Bill's face during his battle with the Rikti slowly forms. "Glad to hear it, brother."

He turns from Bill and walks away, slowly dissolving back into nothingness, the screeching of the souls in Hell rising for a moment as he does so and then disappearing with him.

Bill Z Bubba flaps his wings and rises up above the battlefield. Floating a few hundred meters up, he gazes over the land he's grown to love, sees the other heroes and villains busy with their own battles, admires his handiwork with the mortal shell he created for this world and grins.

Slowly at first, then with ever growing speed, his body begins to disintegrate. The magics that held the construct together unravel as Beelzebub directs them. Before long all that remains, high in the air, is the red glow of his eyes and a cigar.

Then the eyes are gone and the cigar falls.
  16. If you installed them all correctly, they'll be in completely separate directories.

    Example: Mine are:
    d:\games\coh
    d:\games\cohtest
    d:\games\cohbeta

I could delete the test and beta directories manually without affecting my live install.

If you have a similar setup, you can do the same.

Wrong. Reread the posts in this thread.
  21. Wrong.

Base Accuracy of most attacks is 1. This has nothing to do with the base To Hit chance.

We have a 75% chance to hit critters. They have a 50% chance to hit us.

Accuracy multiples against the total of chance to hit + tohit buffs - defense - tohit debuffs, etc, etc.

Knockout Blow has a base accuracy of 1.2. Multiplied by the base 75% chance to hit it becomes 90% chance to hit.

Before stating something has been nerfed, it would be best to become knowledgeable of the topic.

Go read Arcanaville's Guide to Defense. It explains everything.
  22. While I'm not sure, my assumption is that multiple firings within the duration period are taken into account to calculate the probable percentage of effect uptime.

So the mythical claws chain of followup, focus, slash takes 3.96 seconds to run.

    10.25/3.96 = 2.59

If my chain does 200DPS without the proc, then with the proc, at least by that equation, my effective DPS goes up to 220.72

If the chain took 10.25 seconds and thus only had 1 chance to fire off, then it would only be an average DPS of 208 DPS.
  23. If there's no stacking of the 20% DR Debuff, would this equation still be accurate for determining the affect of the Achilles' Heel on an attack chain?

    Average DPS w/ AH Proc = Average DPS * (1 + .2 * .2 * (chances in 10.25sec))

That works out as base * 20% chance of firing * 20% debuff * number of chances in 10.25 seconds.

Only on scrappers. Brute claws shockwave still knocks +4s back due to the way the AT modifiers work.
