By the by, my gal hit 18 last night. Once I hit the teens, repulsing torrent and all the arc bonuses really sped things up for me. I'll probably be villain side and in SOs tonight.
I think I'll also use BZB's ill gotten gains to snag her some unique IOs. -
Not all T4ed, Sant. Moved on at T4/T4/T3/T3/T3. I'll eventually cap them but I'm seeing no reason to hurry. Also scored 2 very rare drops, so making the T4s wasn't that bad.

I certainly understand the animations issue. It's why I can't get into playing my dm/wp brute. MG, SL and Gloom are all left hand only animations. Same issue I always had with Mace, Axe and Broadsword being all right handed all the time. Gets very annoying.
I think it doesn't bother me with KM and Shield because at least the left hand is doing something, namely carrying a shield and occasionally bashing with it. -

Jayboh, the primary reason that I'm skipping FB is that it ain't focus. I'm finding it more like skipping hurl.
Focus: Acast: 1.32 Dam: 86.96 DPS: 65.88
FB: Acast: 2.244 Dam: 102.6 DPS: 45.72
Even QuickStrike has a better DPS than FB and it comes coupled with a damage debuff even without Siphon running. (Or so the power description states.)
Granted, this is all going off of Mids and memory, so things may be different in reality and I may very well end up wanting FB as a mule for a purple set, but it doesn't look like it's going to part of my attack chain in the late game.
As for the DDR in Grant Cover, we'll see. While I probably should be, I'm not really looking at SD like I do SR.
But this it what long breaks do to my brain. After I dive back into the numbers I may very well be tossing out all the assumptions I have now. -
I'm already skipping confront, focused burst and grant cover. After I get shield charge I'll dump RT but that's a long way off.

Anyone know why repulsing torrent doesn't add to power siphon buffs but burst does?

I've had that issue since we got migrated to the new forums. I don't expect there to ever be a fix.

Hit level 10. This is without a doubt the slowest scrapper I've ever played. We'll see how well it ramps up at 12. Granted, part of the slowness may be due to starting in Praetoria.

Focus Burst: Damage 68.4
Arcanatime cast value: 2.244
base real DPS: 30.48

Having only taken less than two weeks to get my main man, BZB, up to t4/t4/t3/t3/t3 on incarnate stuff, I decided to see what else I could make that would be fun to play from 1 to 53 again.
After a few failed starts with other ATs and powersets, I'm to have settled on the following.
Kinetica Jane: Kinetic Melee / Shield Defense Scrapper.
I have no build planned. I'm not asking for one. Just sharing with the class. I may respond back to this thread over time with her progress, but here's what she looks like now:

Father Xmas, our long standing tech guru here on the forums, told me I should check it out ages ago. Rented Serenity, watched it, jumped on amazon and ordered the series box set plus Serenity, and on the following Friday night, I watched all of it in one sitting.
Had my 60+ year old parents watch it. Had my siblings watch it. Everyone in my family, even my sci-fi hating wife, loved it. -

Are we overpowered? I'm up to 447 DPS on a pylon run and I just soloed a level 53 hero class Manticore.
On the other hand, a lvl 53 hero class BAB two shot me into the dirt.
Nope, balance still exists.

It took me 5 purple sets, 5 LotGs +recharge, a few other +5% rec-red setIO buffs, the tier4 alpha spiritual, quickness AND hasten to get followup, focus, slash, repeat.

My MA/SD is hit 26 last night. He's kinda clunky but he gets the job done.
SR is painful until you have evasion and you don't get that until level 35. Even then, I can easily make the argument that due to its one trick pony nature, SR is freaking painful until you have 45% defense to melee, range and aoe.
Especially thanks to the changes that happened to MA in the last year, I'd have to state that, yes, it is a viable set from 1 to 50 with normal slotting. At 26 you'll get dragon's tail for aoe damage and some nice mitigation with the knockdown.
If you can keep going to 35, I honestly think you'll be happy.
If not, dump him and go MA/WP for an easier ride. Or if you want to get really crazy, MA/FA so you can dragon's tail spawns onto their butts in a burn patch. -
I've received two purples since returning on the 10th. I found it very odd that they were both Unbreakable Constraint: Hold.
Anyone want to tell me the odds on that? -
