That said, Corrs, imo, tend to win out just because they get the attacks sooner.
The buff defenders get while solo is basically a SOs worth of straight damage buff (scales up in the lowbie levels but I don't remember the spread) which is affected by the damage cap if my memory is working. Scourge and the higher damage mod are still going to stomp all over that.

This is a misconception. I don't feel like going into detail on the math, but Corrupter and Defender damage is about the same, for the most part.
    Really?

    Energy Blast chain:
    Burst, Bolt, Blast, Bolt, repeat

    Corruptor Base Damage:
    88.42+41.71+68.4+41.71 = 240.24

    Defender Base Damage:
    76.63+36.15+59.28+36.15 = 208.21

Damage buff caps: Cor +400%; Def +300%

Cor chain at damage cap: 1201.2
Def chain at damage cap: 832.84

This doesn't even consider scourge. Defender damage output is not in the same ballpark. Even unslotted and ignoring scourge, which we shouldn't do, cor damage is 15% higher and it just goes up from there.
  3. Wanna know what's really sexist and wrong? Female, bikini 2 and beast run.

Edit: Just in case you didn't know already...

  4. There's two new trials that folks are running at 50 to crank up their incarnate powers. A third one is in the works. Think there's another midlevel TF/SF that I haven't done yet.
  5. Squishy recommendations, huh?

I dig my corruptors. The damage is good. The mitigation is good. That's what we all love, right?

    I've got a dp/storm and a dark/rad that I swap between regularly. I just rebuilt Hellbird as a... I think fire/pain, but it may have been fire/dark.

I dig cors because the have the mitigation blasters don't get and the damage output that defenders don't get. It's a damn fine mix.

Think so. People seem to notice every time I take a break.

I've seen mention that the old launchers are supposed to cease functioning some day. Does anyone know when that day is to be?
  10. And why can't women have cigars?

Why can't men have corsets and fishnets?

Yes, I ask for these items every time gender equality in costuming comes up.

And I will continue to do so for as long as I'm able to post to these forums.

Just because developers cannot develop applications that work properly with a security feature of a whole operating system, I shouldn't have to remove this layer of security (the only layer of security, because I refuse to hog my system down with anti-virus/anti-spyware/ad-block/anti-malware/anti-peanuts/anti-drugs/anti-rainbows/anti-cookies programs).
We share the same philosophy, I just believe in one less hassle than you.

... Why does this sound so familiar...

Anyhoo, I built my rig in Feb of 2010 and have been running without UAC, antivirus or persistent spyware scanning since then. Scanned with malwarebytes this last weekend on a lark, it found nothing.

UAC seems to cause a lot of hassle. Why do people leave it enabled?

Hmmm, is there a way we can change the distance on that so that "close" becomes as far out as I can get the camera to go?
  14. Here's the gentleman, Bill Z Bubba.

Gods below I wish we could go minimal FX on hasten or at LEAST change its color.

    Ascension Armor

She's gorgeous in that armor, BA.
  16. I just go to Tom's Hardware VGA charts (linked off by VTG_Peace) but more specifically I hit HERE so that I can pick several tests to see what's what.

Going off the 3dmark 11 enthusiast link, we see that the ati hd 6990 narrowly beats out the nvidia 590gtx... but the two of them stomp the crap out of everything else.

My current vid card is the ati hd 5870. 27FPS for that compared to the 65FPS for the 6990 is a considerable buff in video processing.

Hop down to the Sanctuary enthusiast test and the 6990 beats the 5870 by a factor of over 4 times.

So, yea... Tom's is a great place for vid card data. I would get all antsy about a ccard being on the market that beats mine so soundly, but... I can currently run two instances of CoH on my rig without nothing more than a negligible hit to my FPS, full screened, alt-tabbing between the two, at 1920X1200 resolution, 4X FSAA, 16X AF, etc, etc.

Now if The Witcher 2 hammers my 5870... I may bite the bullet and throw down some cash.

I've needed a cool 5th costume for a while. The cigar, red eyes, black skin and horns will be present of course, but beyond that, anything goes.
  18. Just bought it as well, Sam. Wondering how BZB is going to look tricked out in steampunk gear. Damn work means I won't know until later tonight.
  19. Support migrated the character to a safe spot and all is well.
  20. Roger that and thanks yall. I'll check it again tonight. Hopefully my petition last night prompted support to correct it even though I was offline.

I'm not sure what's going on there, Eva, as I can't say that I've experienced any problems either in the warehouse for crates or the lab for cannisters and I'm usually leading the way or at least racing the leader through either side.
  22. As Arcanaville pointed out to me, Positron's quote was regarding a different code based problem.

However, since the last patch, several people in this thread reported that things were better during the BAF escape phase. Having run another BAF, myself, and not experienced the lag fest that I had before the last patch leads me to believe that the devs found and corrected THIS issue as well.
  23. Please tell me you quad-box 4 accounts at full tilt with that rig...
