A ghosted image NO LONGER seems to appear over water if Water FX is set to High. That said, the in-game controls for this were also really wonky. At one point, I had it. Then I futzed with something and lost it. Regardless, I never saw a ghosted image.

As far as I can tell, it's only the xp-32bit driver. I don't know why they don't make them all wide open and public.

When you installed XP, did you find any motherboard XP drivers for your macbook? Did you install the latest XP drivers for your X1600 from ati.amd.com?

Absolutely true. But we don't know what % of the profits were going directly to Cryptic, do we? We have to balance that into the equation. How much MORE of our subscription fees are now staying with NCSoft rather than being funneled to Cryptic?

How % of the buyout cost will be paid for by that sudden influx of income?

What % of the ex-Cryptic developers' salaries will be covered by that extra income?

I'm not asking for a refund. I'm not asking for another whole month for that $5. I'm asking an amount of time that the $5 would have gotten me if I had been able to make such minimal payments. At $15/month, that's 1/3rd a month or... 7-10 days depending on which month you choose to pick (Feb 7, most others 10). I'm not even demanding that they pro-rate it at any of the more economical rates one gets for prepaying for months/a year in advance.

I fail to see how that is in any way unreasonable or unjustified given the specific circumstances. So far I have been given unreasonable responses.

I paid less than half a penny per day for access to both sides. I had access to both sides for far longer than any of the folks being given it for free.

You paid a buck a day because you chose to.

You didn't have to come back. You chose to. You didn't have to buy CoV. You could have simply re-upped your hero account. You chose to.

Did you make that choice without knowledge of the future? Yes. As did I. Them's the breaks. Deal with it. Or do as I mentioned earlier and write a thoughtful, respectful letter directly to NCSoft and perhaps you'll get your wish.

If not, and we all just bend to your irrational demands, then you get 1 week free, and I get the next 2 years free.

Less than 50cents a day got me base access, all the costumes and the joy of bruting for the last two years.

Sadly, I think NCSoft forgot a bribe here. They forgot to bribe the hard, core, dedicated player. Ill grant, that group is probably not as large or as influential as any of the other three bribed, but its the group I belong to, and the group everyone I play with belongs to. I believe my point stands. These bonuses are carefully targeted at three sets of players that NCSoft does not want to leave CoX just because they purchased it. This is a brilliant move, and I would normally applaud it. Except for this curious blind spot on a (for now) ignored fourth set of players.

I would hate for that blind spot to propagate from a couple of bonuses in a purchase announcement to overall direction of the game. If they announce that they are getting rid of the debt system entirely, for example, Ill know it has. And THEN would be the time to consider jumping ship.

So you feel like a chump because the fourth group got nothing yesterday? I'm in that same group. I bought CoH, CoV and the goodie pack from GvE.

Prestige bump? Does nothing for me. Both bases are fully functional and we're sitting on unused prestige in the millions on both sides.

Debt removal? I'm a soloist. My debt is gone before the mission I get it in is over.

Opening up of both sides to all accounts? Actually, this might benefit me if I re-sub an ancient buddy account that was CoH only. If I don't, since I don't really care for dual-boxing, then this also has no benefit for me at all.

So now we must ask ourselves, why do you feel chumped but I don't? You paid for a product, you got what you paid for. Others are now getting it for free and you expect some further handout to cover your "losses."

Rather than seeing these handouts as Lighthouse posted earlier, you see them as bribes to keep people around.

I find your beliefs to be without merit or rationale. Lighthouse's post makes sense to me. Get everyone with any access full access so maybe they'll play more. The other junk is nothing more than "hey, we can do this quickly, let's do it!"

I don't see this blind spot to the fourth group. I have gotten what I paid for out of this game. I have always paid the same monthly subscription fee as EVERYONE else for a single account, and I've had access to both sides since CoV go live.

Again, I can see no other reason for this negativity to opening up both sides but an overblown sense of entitlement.

That said, please feel free to send a letter directly to NCSoft with your grievance. Perhaps you'll get a free month tacked on for your trouble.
