I wonder if Control is going to ever get a weapon based set.
-
**I posted this on another thread and no replies si I am reposting it here.**
I have been looking for a build for a WP/DM tanker for 1 v 1 melee matches. All I can find when I search is DM/SD brute, WP/KM or DM/SR scrappers. Does anyone have a good build I can look at? -
aaaahhh .... I get it! Use Gravitic Emanation and since it is a stun it will stack with Inky Aspect. I am guessing that I should slot Gravitic Emanation with stuns. I can remove the 3 Hami's from the shields and use those slots. I can slot them with 4 Stupefy enhancements and I will gain 1.88% increase max health and increase my HP. I will fix the build when I get home from work. Thanks for the help.

I do plan on exempting down for some content. What should I drop to pick up grav emanation?

I currently have a Tri fom build that I am very happy with and for my second build I want to go all human. I kinda have a big budget and the purples are getting pulled off characters I do not play anymore. Let me know what you think and any advise is appreciated. Somethings I want to point out about this build is 81.25% bonus to recharge time for perma Eclipse, and 265.05 HP bonus for 1550hp.

I have a DB, BS and Kat scrapper and I like DB the best. I do think Kat and BS has better damage, but the combos from DB sells it for me. I also think Typhoon's Edge is faster at by couple of seconds in base recharge than Whirling Sword or The Lotus Drops. I like the Empower Combo(Nimble Slash, Ablating Strike, and Blinding Feint) and Attack Vitals Combo (Ablating Strike, Vengeful Slice, and Sweeping Strike).

I am a little confused....
Q: If I am a subscriber now, what will happen to my account if I choose to become a Free player when City of Heroes Freedom launches?
A: Current City of Heroes subscribers who choose to become Free players will retain access to tons of content, however some Issue content will be reserved for VIP players, including Power Sets, Costume Sets, etc. One notable difference is that Free players will be limited to two character slots total, plus any character slots directly purchased or earned through Veteran Rewards. All existing characters will be saved and reenabled if a player subscribes as a VIP player. (including costumes and powers) and character slots (directly purchased character slots or those unlocked from Veteran Rewards). Access to some content, such as Mission Architect and epic character Archetypes, may be restricted, but will be reenabled if a player subscribes as a VIP player.
**If I switch to F2P and I have all 8 slots full of characters and have none purchased or earned through rewards. Would I not be able to play 6 of my 8 already made characters? and if two of them are Epic AT's that are already 50, I will not be able to play them as well? -
I didnt delete any characters, but I did cancel my other account and now have only one that I use. I will never have enough time to do incarnate on all of my characters so I only play on my main account now. I kept my least played characters to Triumph, moved my best costume/theme Characters to Virtue and moved my most played to Freedom.

When I play my PB(pure human form) on teams I get the "Wow that PB is hard to kill", but the wow factor for me is my Fortunata. It has a nice balance of ST Damage, AoE, Defense, Self Buff, Team Buff, Stealth and now Debuff (Darkest Night from the PPP). I am a fan of Epic AT's and they are my favorite to play. You can take away every AT in the game except Epic AT's and I will still be a happy man.
My favorite Epic AT's in order for PvE
1. Fortunata
2. Peacebringer (Tri Form Build)
3. Bane (Huntman Build)
4. Warshade (Human Build) -
I got my first alpha slot and after doing research I decided to stick with Cardiac. All my numbers are good, but the end, range and resist buff will help a lot.
Cardiac Core Paragon [Very Rare]
For all powers: Reduces Endurance cost
by 45%, increases Range and Damage
Resistance effects by 20%.
Two-thirds of these bonuses ignore the
effects of enhancement diminishing returns.
This power also applies a level shift. -
Quote:This is like Quicksilver in Marvel Comics....(**Copied from the internet**)Quicksilver has the ability to displace himself out of mainstream time and space and "jump" into the future. The character can summon several time-displaced duplicates of himself and appear to teleport by "jumping" into the future and then returning to the present at a new location.I put my prediction in another thread, but I'll put it here too...
A positional defense AOE shield ala Force Field Generator and Dispersion Bubble. No typed defense, as it wouldn't make sense with Time Manipulation (imo anyways). Possibly with a S/L Resist as a way of lessening the blow of such physical attacks.
An AOE regen or heal ability.
Then a lot of slows and +RCH.
Maybe some -Defense.
Then a -regen power.
And I like the idea of Summon Duplicates. Doesn't have to have the same powers, it can be akin to Phantom Army, but the doubles just look like the character.
Adding to that prediction, a hold would make sense as well.
I really hope this is a set that plays well for solo as well as teaming. And personally don't want to see (though have no problem with them in the other sets as I have played them) Shield Other type players.
Also don't want to see a targeted heal ala DM or KIN. -
Quote:I would assume it would not stack, but maybe -3 lvls would be better. This would be nice against lvl 53 AV's and bring them down to lvl 50...Inflict a de-level shift? That'd be nasty. It'd also be a great and unique "signature" ability...but it'd also probably be too broken to use. Imagine a whole League of Time Manippers on a single raid...
-
I suggested a Time Manipulation powerset like 4-5 years ago. My idea was that you can heal someone by manipulating time of the target prior to them receiving damage and it was a debuff as well. If a target was a lvl 50 then you can manipulate time of the enemy so they will have the powers of being a lvl 45. You can rez someone by reverting the time prior to them dying. You would be able to slow an enemy down with Time Manipulation or speed an ally up.

I made a DM/Shield brute and after looking through wikipedia of list of demon names ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_theological_demons )and came up with Duke Crocell. I bet you can get a cool name from there for a DM/Invul.
From Wikipedia:In demonology, Crocell (also called Crokel or Procell) is the 49th spirit of the Goetia, manifesting as an angel with a tendency to speak in dark and mysterious ways. Once a member of the Powers, he is now a Duke of Hell who rules over 48 legions of demons. -
I will continue working on getting my Cardiac Slot. Thanks for the infomation!
-
You can name a Dark/Invul:
Dirty Fighter
Necro Knuckles
Necro Fist
Soul Sucker Punch
Unstoppable Night
Dark Mauler
Midnight Mauler
Fearsome Fist
Dark Demolisher -
Is it for PvP, PvE (solo) or PvE (team)?
Reason I ask is when make a solo build I focus on single target attacks and when I mainly play on team I focus on a team build I focus on cones and AoE's. This might help someone answer you question a little better. -
Hey everyone... I have a Fort I recently pulled off the shelf and did a respec. I have no issues with anything except end. The end issue is a easy fix with the help of insp. I am planning on getting my alpha slot soon, but I was wondering with all the other incarnate powers avaliable, should I get a different alpha or am I on the right path by getting Cardiac?
-
I guess this is called a necro post when someone brings back an old thread, but I just remembered this idea from a long time ago and would still like to play this.
-
I have an elec/pain and I like the combo. With the ability to get Power Boost it helps with the end draining of targets and increase the heals of my character. I also feel that it adds a good deal to the team. I can play buffer if I want or switch playstyle to end draining/damage. When I am solo I like buffing my pet from the PPP and casting a Voltaic Sentinel to help out. I cannot wait until I get my incarnate Lore and I will feel like a MM...lol

Quote:Ok, I think the KB to KD argument has gone on long enough. For the time being let's back burner it in favor of less contemptuous issues. When the rest is worked out we can return to the issue.
I'm not gonna argue with getting more damage but I do have a concern with raising the numbers that high.
...Cosmic Balance
Giving PBs a base 1.00 modifier would be great if they didn't have to be balanced around the inherent. It has the potential to make our damage much higher than that of damage specialists like Scrappers and Blasters. VEATs can force multiply in a somewhat similar fashion but they're more limited by having to take and constantly run Tactical Training: Assault. I'd recommend a smaller boost to make sure PBs don't end up edging out other, more specialized, ATs.
I believe someone mentioned before that Cosmic Balance has some issues. Maybe they need to redo the inherent. Maybe I am just greedy, but I would rather have Cosmic Balance give resistant to Knockback, Slow, Sleep, Hold, Immobilize, and Disorient effects. If they want to encourage teaming with the Kheldian, then let it effect team members kinda like a Sonic Dispersion or Dispersion Bubble. VEATs give team member Defense, Accuracy and Plus Damage from tactical training. I think it would be a good idea if we give team member status protection. I know it wont happen, but it is just an idea on what I would do to fix it. -
* Raise human form damage scale from .85 melee/.80 range to 1.0 melee/range (numbers from paragon wiki) to be in balance with VEATs.
* Change KB to KD.
* Reduce shape shifting times.
* Revamp Photon Seekers - I rather see one summonable photon seeker that attacks. It will look like a smaller version of light form with range attacks.
* Add mez and KB protection to inherent.
* Change KB to KU.
* Automatic shield retoggle when switching between forms. -
My first lvl 50 was named Kaltor(Dark/Dark/Dark defender) and the story line was that my main became the host for a Kheldian. Since his new powers were opposite (Light) I just reversed his name and called him Rotlak. Once we were able to change names, I changed it to Proton Sentry. I like the way that sounds better and now he doesnt have a back story.
