Sorry never thought about that, i withdraw that statement. My old Welsh boss used to say place names in Wales were designed to scare the English into keeping on their side of the river, and i thought that was funny! The point is little differences in thought are what make any human interaction interesting. Context in what something was said can sometimes be misread. I dont really think that Ravenswing believes that all Englishman, Irishmen, Scots and Welsh hate each other(although i could interpret his post that way)and i hope he doesnt feel i think less of non-Englishmen. I can see this group being an incredibly complex but fun group to be involved with and Red Saint is going to need all his leadership skills if he goes ahead. I hope you are up to the challenge i think you are on to a real winner!

Why? Im an Englishman if i wasnt already happy with my current group i would have no problem joining a group founded by a Welshman, Irishman, or a Scot. There would probably be light hearted banter between the different nationalities but if i liked a group concept i wouldnt allow the founders nationality cloud my decision. Basically all i want is somebody to go out on my behalf and find out some vitals on some coalition SGs the PCP is associated with. Some of these were set up before myself and the other leaders inherited the PCP from Grey Hawk so i dont have any info on them.I could find out the info myself, or get one of the other SG members to do it, but i thought some roleplayer would love to take it on and earn some influence(RP can make really mundane things seem fun). Also as i said in an earlier post i wanted to get more involved with the roleplay community and i thought this would be a good way to make a few contacts.

Also popping an M30 grenade amongst a group of bods and then saying "do you mind if ask you a few questions" may not be the most subtle approach to detective work!

My detectives thread doesnt seem to be going well at moment but i had another thought. I have a raid capable SG but we havent done any yet ,and we are still gearing up members for it. I was wondering if there are any villains out there who dont mind snitching on their brethren ie by joining SGs or Coalitions and supplying me with info on Villain groups, leaders, members, base layouts, defenses, etc. Unfortunatly the game does allow any transfer of resources between hero or villain so payment could be problem, however once sideswitching is available the PCP can provide a safe haven and financial compensation then if needed. Because nobody is going to announce they are a Spy im not expecting any replies in this thread, but i think its a cool RP idea. Interested parties should send an in-game email, PM, or contact @Britanic.

Depends on if you do private work, and if you do does that make you corrupt? (Im basically looking for someone to gather some organization info on a few SGs. I could do it but my log in times make it awkward to talk to the right people. Im much happier to pay(influence) somebody to gather the info for me. I figured i see a lot of detective types running about maybe someone would offer this sort of service. On a personal note i would like to get more involved with the RP community and i thought this would be a good way to make a couple RP contacts without diving into something like GG, making a new RP specific character or getting my SG to change to a RP group.)

I was looking into doing this last year but didnt get much response. I have since joined and become a leader in the PCP and now we have quite a few flag flying Brits onboard. I wouldnt want to lose any of my members and i dont plan on jumping ship my self, but id like to offer you an invitation to join a coalition with ourselves. Im sure my people will relish the chance to help out any fellow Brits in Paragon city.

Looks like your firm may have the monopoly in Paragon. Job i had in mind is very conventional but i will keep you in mind when it comes to something a bit more esoteric. If you are up for magic artefact recovery il pass your details on to Mystic Madness, he always looking for choice pieces.(AKA Salvage).

Anybody on Union roleplay Detectives or a Detective Agency SG. If so i got a job for you (will probably involve some ooc work). Thinking of it wouldnt mind knowing what other services are on offer out there!

I think a lot of people seem to forget this is all a game. The PVP zones all have an auto sidekick effect to help even things out a bit. Sure certain builds, and higher lvl characters will still retain certain advantages but there is nothing stopping anyone else doing the same thing. I occassionally dabble in PVP with my Regen Scrapper. I have been one-shotted by Stalkers(embarrising!), team ganked,etc. I dont get mad i expect it to happen(you are warned when u enter the zone). If i see a villain and hero fighting il jump in and help out, if the hero wants me to back off i do. Same as if im fighting a bod and some else jumps in fair enough. If you are duelling it should be responsibility of same aligned characters to get the interlopers to back off. At the end of the day if your playing a hero and you see some one in trouble you should be wading in, its a game guys chill out.
Tip for anybody who still has uses on the Nectar temp power, if you fight a mastermind jump in middle of their pets and let Nectar rip(hilarious watching all the minions beat heck out of each other). At this point the MM is OMG! and you can start pounding on them. I guarantee they will get the impulse to run so when the pets come to their senses they should be too far off to help the MM out.

Britanic is a leader in the PCP so i wont be leaving there, however Paragon may get itself a new East European Hero soon and he may just turn up in your neighborhood!

Im quite interested in trying a roleplay group so i may have to knock up a character. My own group is essentially an ooc group but everbody does play with personality so their is some roleplay there. I think my best roleplay experience to date is when Britanic was asked "Art thou a roleplayer" to which i replied "look mate im flattered, but just because im wearing figure hugging spandex doesnt mean im into that kinky stuff". I thought it was a great way of telling a roleplayer i wasnt but he just flew off. Hm strange!

Only 1 reply and thats mine, guess Longbow will have this well under control then. I might pop in and see if me or Max Khaos can hurt each other yet, your invasion shouldnt be too much of a distraction.

Although Communism is seen as a bad thing many of its ideas are good, its just always been badly implemented. I can quite easily see communist heroes holding on to their ideals and yet be oppossed to the waytheir country was run. I can also see such characters considering capitalism a flawed system, especially when you consider the hardship and poverty suffered by the former soviet peoples since the introduction of capitalism to their own lands. Good example of such a hero is Marvels Colossus, he was opposed to the regime but believed in the communist ideals himself.The real challenge is explaining a bucketfull of East European heros protecting the American people rather than their own. With Britanic, hes an Architech working in America, ashamed of his own inaction during the Rikti war, now taking inspiration from the Brit Hero-1 he fights as Britanic. I suppose many potential super human threats to the world would come from Paragon so you could say the SG is like a forward defense, then you would have your exiles, worldly curious etc. So you got some ideas to work with.
