This also means that in the month we're going to shutdown a Dev who has so far existed silently in the background carrying the name Sister Psyche is going to systematically hunt down and mercy-kill every remaining member of CoH. And Jack Emmert.
P.S. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. -
Yeah, I keep fixing this too every day or so. I would not like this to be a persistent part of my CoH experience funnily enough.

I second this strongly. A highly underappreciated arc that I think stands as one of the best villainous arcs out there. Although, I would say that a few slight changes need to be made before it is considered for Dev's Choice. For example making that choice a little obvious and a little more possible considering an individual's patience.

I don't see why people get so excited about testing XD I hate testing. It ruins the surprise, and effectively you are playing the unfinished product that will be really buggy. For me, testing get rids of the "ooooh, shiiiiiiny" because as soon as it goes Live you're like "oh, meh, I've been repetitively playing that stuff for the past 4 weeks, it's boring now". But that may just be me because I'm immensely fickle.

Quote:O.o. Well that's one thing I didn't actually know about the Skulls...Interesting...Arciness is forming...(that's a word right? :P )Admittedly, I don't remember anything from in-game myself, probably why I was able to overlook it as easily as I did. However, a quick scan on the Skull's page on the City of Site shows that this is indeed the case.
EDIT: Actually I recall now that I did know this back when I wrote my Skulls arc a long time ago, but that has since slipped my mind, unsurprisingly really. -
I didn't get a tell, but I got a comment on my arc from The Television's nemesis. It was a "Thankyou for entering" comment, but seeing as it was on the arc itself I assume that means that he's played it.

This is completely ridiculous. I could understand perhaps the whole keeping alone words out, but saying that combinations of letters can't be included opens up a ridiculous can of worms that preposterously hampers text in your arcs. You aren't allowed to put Damn or Hell in your MA arcs but you're perfectly entitled to post them here and in your characters' names. The most *facepalm* filter I've come across is for the word 'facial'. It's ****ing ridiculous.
And now I find I can't write an arc about a hero who was once a crystal-meth addict. I never intended to, but I want the option to do so. -
Two posters above, read the OP, you're breaking the rules. What you're supposed to do is review the last arc posted in this thread, then post an arc for the next person to review and so on.

Quote:Make it so you can only SG invite your friends. And you need to accept a friend request first before they can even send you an SG request. To be honest, the whole offline friend request thing proves that the tech is there for an SG invite. The SG/VG invite through email could easily be handled by a base item that created SG Invitation "Inspirations" that could be mailed or given out. You could also do promotions that way.
I've got nothing on how to stop blind SG spamming with this solution, but I'm sure someone else can come up with an idea. -
Begins somehow related discussion of Stalinist Russia and the Nihilist movement of the 19th century. Flaunts knowledge.

Quote:HELL YES. Costume code prizes are the best.Thank you for hosting these contests. Without that extra nudge, I would not have gotten around to creating the arc I just submitted. I first came up with the outline of the story over a year ago, but I never did anything about it. Now, if your next contest includes a costume code as a prize, that will be even better motivation!

Interestingly, one of my characters is based of this exact concept. He can't age, and everytime he dies, he always come back to life. After watching everyone he ever loved waste away while he was cursed with continuing to live without them, he turned to a philosophy of nihilism, of the meaninglessness of life and existence. He would probably kill anyone who he started to have feelings for in fear of those feelings developing into something more.
-
In my opinion, no. The overview describes a single enemy who you encounter in both the story arcs in Levels 20-30 and the Positron TF. Which I'll remind you is a TEAM exercise. Therefore, a replicated version of you seems unlikely.
-
IMPORTANT NOTE: I didn't say that I'd prefer new TFs to revamped old ones. I said I'd prefer new SFs to revamped old ones. The unequal TF:SF ratio is one reason for that :P
-
Quote:Much prefer new SFs rather than re-vamped old ones XDWow, I'm pleased as punch at the list of new features. I wonder if emailing influence extends to alts on other servers or is server specific? I suspect the latter (and am not griping about it), but it would be awesome if it was cross server.
The new Posi TF is excellent news. I hope they slowly update all the TFs, SFs. Even some of the SFs are years old.
Anyway, the features list looks like pure win. -
WE LOVE YOU DEVS.
That is all. -

Going Rogue will have to try hard to overcome my current perspective of: I17 > GR.
CoH once again makes most other games look pathetic in comparison. -
Quote:Um, nope, no attempt to make you pissed off, merely to try and enlighten you. I don't argue with someone to try prove I'm right - although semantically you could argue what I'm about to say means exactly that - I argue with someone in order to enlighten them. Really, arguing with someone to "prove" you're right is intrinsically pointless.Honestly, BeyondReach, there is so much wrong with your approach that I'm having trouble deciding the best way to deal with you. I'm guessing that this is an attempt to rile me in another way because your Christianity assumption fell flat.
Suffice it to say, you're going Strawman on me. You're assuming I should appeal to fascism and wholesale slaughter simply because I feel incest is wrong. I don't by the way, and there's nothing saying that I SHOULD do anything except your attempt to paint me a monster. I make my own decisions, and no two things necessarily have to do with each other.
I'm not saying you are a fascist because you think incest is wrong. I'm saying you are a fascist because you believe that incest is wrong because it "damages the genetic progression of the human race". That is an elitist viewpoint strongly associated with fascism and social darwinism (although the two are closely connected).
I'm not trying to paint you as a monster because clearly unlike you, I don't label people as monster. I am not a sensationalist, I'm a rationalist and I title people as logical things like fascist. However, I don't think you are a fascist necessarily, I know you don't think you are a fascist. My point was to enlighten you that you're views are strongly associated with fascism, and you should reconsider them because of that.
Finally, I am a great proponent of the fact that "History is written by the victors", but although the capitalists painted the communists as evil for obvious reasons, they didn't have to try very hard to paint Stalin as such. While I believe that Lenin was devoted to the rational propsect of communism as a progression of human society to bring the people out of poverty, Stalin effectively snatched that idea for completely opposite reasons. Exemplified by his rule, he did not care about the people, he merely established communism because it gave him the greatest power. You do not bring order through massacres. -

Bad Voodoo
Alignment: Villainous
Creator: @Beyond Reach
Level: 5-10
Arc ID #373659
Synopsis: Mr. Bocor is one of the first victims of a group of masked vigilantes who have been plaguing Port Oakes, stopping illegal operations and pacifying villains' powers with surprising efficiency. He wants you to strike back at them and reverse whatever they've done to his Voodoun powers.
Enemy Groups: Custom Group, Wyvern, Legacy Chain.
WARNING: Elite Bosses, Archvillains!
Ya forgot mine! Although that isn't the re-worded synopsis, it still does a fine job at what it does. -
You're going to argue that mates are generally found between people of similar "attractiveness" and the ability to provide for each other. I would argue that this is not universal and that attractiveness does not equal physicality, not to mention the fact that intelligence usually has little to do with selecting your mate. Of course, that's just a guess.

Finalised and submitted mine this morning! Now I play the waiting game...
