Dragons Tail. Eagle's Claw is only good for stunning lts, which is a waste of time for a softcapped scrapper.

Like so many blasters I see here today you completely forgot the SMACKDOWN! Seriosly. Don't you want to defeat your enemies in a brutal and efficient manner?
Hover has turned blasters into wimps.[/rant] -
Oh, missed the first part of the question. Just so there's no confusion, 58.68-79.44% DDR is for the build Powerforge posted. As Dersk said you can't slot defense sets in Active Defense so there's no way for me to do the math on that.

Am I overlooking really obvious sets?

Might be overlooking Kinetic Combat (3.75% S/L for 4 slots). It's hella expensive nowadays since there are a lot fewer options for typed defense. -

Not to split hairs, but mace actually gets access to an extreme damage (2.29 scale) with a quick recharge (16 seconds) very early.
[/ QUOTE ]
And every other Mace attack is less powerful than the equivalent Axe attack. This means that while levelling up Axe does more damage, but when you get enough recharge Mace will be better thanks to Clobber. It also means that Hasten doens't help Axe that much, but is a huge boon to Mace. -
I hope you've already taken Combat Jumping before you start thinking about Stealth. Not only does it give a decent defense bonus, but can also be slotted with Blessing of the Zephyr (and of course LotG).
-
Broad Sword deals less damage over time, they have the same DPE (damage per endurance) so Katana ends up costing more endurance and the animations of Katana are better.
-
It's because Gloom is ridiculously powerful and since it causes redraw for weapon sets they get lower damage. Other than that, Axe is one of the best sets for levelling up, the only weakness is that it has a lower maximum potential than most. Mace is slightly less powerful when levelling up, but has a rather high maximum potential, only held back by the redraw from Gloom. Remove that and it's up there with Stone and Fire.

DB, DM, Shield, SS (if it gets proliferated) and Claws are sets I'd rather play as a scrapper. Higher buff mods and all that.

This. Everyone else would become a Brute. I like the Fury mechanics, it gives me an excuse to rush the team (you'd better keep up because I'm not losing my fury). While I still have a lot of Brutes, I tend to avoid them due to redside being much less populated. The players tend to be slightly worse as well. If Brutes comes heroside I'll be making a lot more of them. -
21.87% from Battle Agility
20.76% for each stack of Active Defense (so 41.52% most of the time).
16.05% from Grant Cover.
So you'll have 58.68-79.44% DDR. Two more Membranes in Active Defense would give you 91.90% all of the time (Active Defense permanently doublestacked). -
Your defense resistance is really low. Without Grant Cover you really need to slot Active defense with several Membranes to enhance the defense resistance and double stack it. I also highly recommend Grant Cover, not only does it give a nice defense bonus to your fellow meleers, it also grants defense resistance, which no other buff I know off does.

The thing is that Claws does more AE damage in theory. The difference is that Spin only has an 8' radius while Spine Burst has 15'. How do you handle that in theory?
-
Horrible. Can't see a thing you've written, those colors are just aweful.

Brought War Mace up to 149.2 DPS. All of these are brute values, btw. Chain is Clobber>Pulverize>Jawb>Shatter>Pulveri ze>Ccontrol>Clobber>Jawb>Pulverize> Shatter>Ccontrol>0.28s.
Maybe I should do a few Scrappers...

Can't use crowd control. No cone 90degrees or larger is allowed.

Ok... why? It does push both Axes and War Maces end costs up to about 4 EPS, is that it? -

He's assuming a rather conservative 75% fury. I'm still having fun with attack chains. I think I just put Battle Axe into a top position, you may really want to control this one, since it boosts them up to 152.1 DPS, for a nice fourth place. The chain is Cleave>Chop>Swoop>Pendulum>0.14s>Ch op>Gash>0.136s.

Got SS up to 130. I guess you can't unsuck SS. KOB>HM>P>H>P>HM>J>H>P, in case you wanted to update your spreadsheet. Requires 2 recharges in everything but Jab.
And yes, I update the damage enhancements when I add extra recharges. -
Heh, was thinking of Throw Spines, which can't take it. No, probably not worth it in Ripper.
-
Wohoo! 129 DPS for Super Strength! I rule at attack chains!
Ehrm... Back to the drawing board I guess. SS is really hurt by your "No pool powers" rule, since all pool attacks except Kick are better than Jab. Boxing is almost identical only it deals more damage, cost more endurance and has half a second higher recharge. -
You're quite right about Stone Melee atleast, a chain of SS, SF, HM, SM, SF, HB, SF, HM, SS, SF, SM, HM, SF, HB, SF, SM gets 159 DPS, placing it in second place. Needs two recharge in everything but Hurl Boulder, that needs none. Might be better chains, I might have made a mistake. Now for Super Strength....
-
And it stacks, right?
Hmm... I think Night Widows just got even better damage vs. AVs. -
How much DPS would -0.25 regeneration equate to on an average AV?
-
Did the DPS of Stone Melee lure you to the dark side?
-
Unfortunately heals, end replenishers and build ups stacks poorly with itself.

Search for [LBMA] (LowBie). Avoid any that has custom groups.
Either that, or search for your favorite low level villain group.
It's funny how people don't check salvage prizes. The salvage that used to be the most expensive is now worth half as much as the salvage that was barely worth selling before. I recommend looking through the list of rare salvage and see which is worth the most at the time.
