  1. Nah. It'd likely either be closer to SoAs or completely unique.
  2. Nah. Not now. It took CoV like 6-7 Issues to get it's own EAT, Praetoria can be patient just as long.
  3. Eh, I'm hoping to keep it away from a single elemental line (like I did with the Blaster Magic Mastery)

Furthermore, it's a nominal bonus. Your making a mountain out of a molehill here. The bonus would be something like 5 to 10% extra damage, likely about the same as a low level Training Origin. There's no real 'penalty' for picking a different one. Just a tiny little incentive to use your own Origin's mastery.

And, these don't need Patrons. =P

Apparently Praetorian Hammi has gone all Cthulu on us.

You forgot Sound Resonance for MMs.
  6. As for why they didn't proliferate (or at least mention any proliferation), they added a bunch of new animations to existing powersets. I'm sure any time that would have otherwise gone to said proliferations was better used there.

Most interesting aspect of the pictures, why is the Crystal Titan there?

Also, to whom do the tentacles belong?
    My guess. Praetorian Hamidon.
  8. Personally, I think Illusion Control steps on the MM's toes too much with the number of pets it can have.

If Illusion was made today and not when the game began, it would probably be unrecognizable. Or at least without Phantom Army.
  9. The Incarnate system... look it up.
  10. It's just a minor bonus, in fact, Techbot Alpha, having an ability do a little more if your a specific origin is already in the game--it's mentioned in the description of the Vet powers that if you're a specific origin, they'll do a little more. And that's what I want for the Origin Mastery powers.
  11. Welll, not any particular problem. But some people would like a little more variety in the tip missions, and, the ability to run a few Rogue/Vigilante missions without slowing down the progress to Hero/Villain Morality missions, well, would be great.
  12. For example, the Blaster Magic Mastery could be...

Magic Circle - Toggle: Self +Def (Smashing, Lethal), +Res (Energy, Negative Energy)
Use Fortification's Animation, colored light blue or white.

Chillbain - Ranged, Minor DoT(Cold), Foe Immobilize, -Recharge, -SPD, -Fly

Flashfire - Ranged (Targeted AoE), Minor DMG(Fire), Foe Disorient

    Decieve - Ranged, Foe Confuse

Call Adamant of Steel - Summons up an Adamant of Steel from the Legacy Chain.
  13. Maybe with the new borked pet AI, they should give Soldiers Riflebutt at the 32 upgrade.
  14. Now imagine this-with i18, you can spot an MM, and dive in for refuse, only to find out they're on the other side.

    Anyone had that happen yet?
  15. Eh, if it were me, I'd make elusive basically an exact clone of combat jumping. Only, on auto and was able to be stacked with the other jump powers.
  16. Well, a few days ago I published my first Mission Architect work in years. I'd like to see if I could get some feedback on it.

The settings I have checked are Canon-Related, Horror (The last half, specifically), and Sci-Fi.

The storyline, without giving too much away, involves your character hiring a professional snitch to find out about a new (custom) enemy group that's appeared in Paragon city linked to several robberies and kidnappings, and you fighting them off to save the kidnap victims. It also involves Praetoria and the upcoming invasion (with another custom enemy group because I can't pick Praetorian groups yet)

The later missions can be difficult, but I managed to run them just fine by turning the difficulty down when I ran into trouble, so I recommend doing that if you run into trouble as well. As I've said, it's got custom made baddies, along with an ally in the second mission, and some twists.

It's got two unique maps (one fairly short, one fairly long), and two medium maps.

The descriptions should all be done and all the text should be there, I just need some feedback to make sure it's all working and how it is story-wise.

I may need to change the name--Nemesis is no way involved in the arc, but I figured it fit, the villains first name in there is derived from the german word for nemesis.
  17. An idea I had to change the tip system for people like me, who go all one way and stay that way just because the rewards are better, I had an idea that could help people experience both sides of the content.

You get a morality mission after 10 tips--any 10 tips. The alignment of the Morality mission is that of the majority of the tips you've done, in the case of a 5-5 tie, you get both and get to choose which one to go on.

Would make it easier to team with people who are doing opposing tip missions as content, and as I said, would let people who don't normally explore the vigilante/rogue missions actually do so.

    Purely to make it unique.

That and, there isn't really any overarching group Heroside like Arachnos is Villainside. Just a bunch of groups.

No, you wouldn't be locked out, but there would be an incentive to pick your origin's mastery, what I had in mind was that if you picked the same one as your origin, you'd get a bonus--like the bonuses on the Vet powers if you're a specific Origin.

Yes, which is unfortunate--it's alot of work making 10 powersets.

Again, the 'Warden' would be scaled back on the level of the other pets--the only reason I picked the Warden was it was the only generic Heroic NPC that could definitively have the 'Science' origin.

    Any one in particular?
  19. You know, I suggested a 'Kinetic Mastery' since I didn't think Kin would make it as an MM secondary... people didn't even like that idea.
  20. Plus there are some set IOs that give TP Resistance.

Edit: I just recently came back, but a year or two ago, I routinely took my MM into some PvP zones and IIRC, I did pretty well.

Double Edit: And it was a Mercs/ MM at that.
  21. I had a random thought when reading through the boards here about a heroic version of Patron Power Pools, that is, a new set of Power Pools only available to heroes that they could take after completing an arc.

And, another idea, to set them apart and make them unique, why not base them off of the Origins? That is, have a power pool for each of the Origins, and give a bonus if you pick the matching power pool to your origin.

Though, I'm not certain that even if the idea is very well liked it'd be put in--it's alot of work creating a new arc and 5-10 powersets.

I do think it should be the same format as Patron Pools, and I have some ideas for the pets.

    Natural Mastery

Could be some basic attacks and shields from MA/WP(or SR) or maybe some moves from Munitions/Weapons Mastery, possibly some traps.
Pets should be from the PPD SWAT.

    Magic Mastery
Maybe some random elemental attacks/holds (That is, different elementals in the same set, like a Elec ST attack, an Ice Hold, an Electricity AoE, etc)
Pets should be from Legacy Chain

    Tech Mastery
Maybe be a combination of Elec and Energy, or steal some moves from the Crey scientists. Maybe break out the Pulse Rifle or some different /traps.
    Pets should be from Vanguard

    Science Mastery
Not sure of the powersets of this bit. Maybe some stuff from SS/Invuln or Elec/Energy again.
Pets should be Longbow Wardens (A weaker than average variety, of course, but those are the only generic 'science' origin hero NPCs I could think of)

    Mutation Mastery
This one I'm stumped with--Mutation could be almost anything.. Same with the pet.

Suggestions? Like it? Hate it? Leave a comment!
  22. Personally, I wouldn't mind if they added a few arcs and introduced 'Epic Power Pools'--a heroic variety of PPP.

I mean, where does it say it there?
  24. Where do you see the number of plays on the arc? The other day I published my first arc in years, inspired by Going Rogue and some of my games outside of CoH, but I can't tell if anyone's even tried it yet.
  25. Alright, that looks good--very good. Thanks, I'll use that one until i19.

At which point I plan on replacing the old Fitness powers with Aid Other, Aid Self, and Hasten. Take a slot out of Physical Perfection (Move Regenerative Tissue: +Regeneration to Aid Other) and maybe take a slot out of Weave and/or Deflection to put an extra recharge in Hasten and to put 3 Numinas in Aid Self
