Alright Mids' fans, here is the challenge. Try to put together a Widow build following these criteria:

Soft-Capped for Trials (59% in all positionals)
Managable Endurance
Decent attack chain

That's basically it. I'm interested in what you come up with... -
Don't like the disorient bonus in Follow-up, anything affected by a Mag 2 Stun will likely be dead on your second hit anyway.
You should probably dump the interrupt IO to pick up a DW: To-Hit DeBuff as it will give you 5% recharge which is more valuable than a third of a second interrupt decrease on a power that you should rarely be using.
Are you really tied to those run-speed procs? They add 2.2 MPH to your run speed and the 2% recovery isn't that great.
You probably don't need a second Tactics as you have 99% in accuracy bonuses already.
It would be nice to take this build to 59% positional defense for trials. But for general play I would say that these changes will free up one power slot and a half dozen or so slots to play with in improving an already very playable build. -
This is not a build I'll be using, but it demonstrates that it is possible, possibly even practical, to put together a NoML TSc build. There are some things you could juggle to get the same result, but this is simply a proof of principle build.

I'm doing fine without Cardiac, and crunching the numbers, I don't think I need it.
If I get into trouble I always have Recovery Serum to lean on, or I could simply turn off a couple toggles
The reason I have slotted Stamina as I have is because of great set bonuses and, well, there are three ways to improve Endurance performance. Increase End. Increase Recovery. And decrease consumption. I have done my best to balance those approaches with the other goals of the build in mind. Looking down the line I am going to take Ageless under Destiny (not slotted so I can see what the build looks like most of the time, not for just 10s out of every 2m)

This build has less than a point away from general soft-cap in Melee and Ranged without ML, but I don't see getting Trial Softcap without ML being practical. I could put together a build to show you what it would look like... -
I like teleport... Although I took it off this build, kept Recall Friend though.
I shifted some powers around to try to make this a little more conducive to Flashback missions.
My numbers for Defense look a lot better, although I did sacrifice a little more Regen to make it happen.
Switching to Soul Mastery, although I prefer the Mu TAoE over the cone, Soul is just better concept-wise, and has a better pet.

Code:I lost 3% to damage and 4% to regen, but reached the 59% on all positionals. I also dropped Hasten completely along with Kick and Tough. This should help with Endurance and I should be able to maintain my chain even without Hasten. Shifting the Purples to Lunge should actually up my total damage, and the slotting allows Slash to fit a little better in the chain. I have a couple respecs so I may just try this build out real quick and see how it works. I'm also considering loading CoX onto my laptop as a workaround for the respec.
Still looking for feedback, and very thankful for the feedback I have received thus far. The current build I just used to solo the respec trial, so it is working alright. Just looking to make it as perfect as it can be. -
So, sorry, just working on a shuffle, but you think I should move the BU to FU, increase slotting on Aid Self and try to find a way to up my Defense possibly dropping Tough in the process?

I'm unlocked, and the inability to open either of those two pools is an undefined error that I have been working with the technical staff to try to address for several months already. I do not know when it will be solved, and as such will continue with Leviathan until I can solve the problem.
I don't use the cones very much, they are basically mules for the purples, although they do come in handy in limited circumstances. I would prefer Mu, but that isn't happening right now.
I actually like both the 4% damage buff and the extra damage I get from the Patron Pet. I just make sure I have enough aggro to keep him alive and he has been working well for me.
I will look into some re-slotting patterns, but have been doing well with this build so far. I know that the BU works better in FU, but then I do lose the defensive bonus from the full set.
As far as my attack chain, I use Follow-Up, Strike, Lunge and Slash. I don't even need Hasten unless I'm up against an EB or Hero. So, I took Poison Dart over Swipe because it offered a place to slot purples as well as a nice draw power. -

I thought I should mention that the sleep patch re-sleeps awoken mobs. So, it is closer to a fear patch than a sleep patch in the way that it functions. Think Spooky +end drain +end recovery

I am looking at making some changes, but first your questions.
Two-slotting kick was done to increase damage by 1.5%, although if I find a better use for the slot it'll be single-slotted.
Have been debating dropping placate. I used it a lot as a panic and aggro control button in lower levels, but now has become a waste. So I will probably drop it.
I do have both Assaults.
I've heard bad things about Shatter Armor, I thought redraw issues were supposed to have been solved. But, that aside, I may be switching it out. Perhaps taking Strike which, while it lacks the -res, hits harder in terms of DPA.
Spin Slotting is all purples, and I actually have Damage/Accuracy not the straight Damage one.
The attack chain I have been using is Sl>FU>SA>Lu>FU... along those lines. The DPA makes the first chain hugely powerful, but for AVs and GMs the breaks start to drop my overall DPS.
I will be looking at the following changes on Mids, and playing with them before trying them in-game.

I have been pulling resources from all my toons, some had a great deal more than I thought they had, and I finally got enough together to finish this build. So far it has run great, especially on everything under AVs. I can stand toe-to-toe with GMs and work some down. The only issues I've had are with endurance in long fights, which restricts my ability to take down GMs and AVs. I do not have the Alpha beyond first tier yet, and have not worked on the other incarnate slots much. What should I be looking at changing?

Just thought I'd add my 2c. I was not happy with Swipe, Strike or Eviscerate, so I didn't pick them up. I also never liked Elude, so that was off the table. Anyway, this is the build I have almost completed (4 Armageddons away from completion) and I have enjoyed playing it. I will Pylon test it soon to get a DPS ranking for it, as soon as I get the Armageddons.

On the same token I thought about it, and truthfully, I think the only reason why I considder the Widow is because I find her playstyle more fitting.
Perhaps it has nothing to do with the stalker, perhaps it's the player playing. some people have the skill to play a stalker and maybe I am not one of them.
So If I was being sort of snarky about the efficiency of a Widow over a Stalker I think it would be because I find the Widow has more versatility for me Solo than a Stalker, but again I speak of playstyles, not actual abilities of those behind the keyboard working with a stalker -
Nyx, I agree with you, except insofar as Stalkers are a completely different playstyle. I can finish almost any mission faster with a Stalker than with a Night Widow, the exception being kill alls and AVs. But the survivability inherent in the stealth of Stalkers makes them a great deal more powerful as a solo AT than Night Widows.
Pyrthas, some people just don't enjoy playing buffbots. That being said, the two sets are not ideal for solo play. But can be useful if matched with a strong primary. In which case you will be taking almost every power from the primary, plus your pool powers and that leaves little room for the powers that are useless 90% of the time. -

They are the best for getting the job done, no muss, no fuss. Just because they are great at getting things done doesn't mean that they are the easiest to level. In this game killing alot is the easiest way to level, and for that Scrappers for ATs and Night Widows for EATs are the easiest to level solo.

They may not kill viability completely, but they are a waste most of the time that you are playing. And when you are on a team, you have to play your toon in a completely different manner that takes away the advantages that would be built into having the toon built for solo-play.

I Night Widow is great, except their stealth sucks. Trollers are great for solo, but because they are so gimped in the realm of damage, they come in second behind Stalkers for solo-play. -
I find it offensive that players that prefer to play solo are automatically considered "casual"
There need to be difficult solo trials that allow players that sometimes just want to play and not to socialize to receive similar benefits to groupies. And Issue 20 is looking really bad for soloists. -
I love stalkers, I generally finish my tip missions for the day in 20-30m. They are horrid to level as they deal less damage and have less protection than scrappers and the other lesser melees...
Stalkers take down everything Boss or lower solo faster than any other AT. That means that in a group their goal is to take out the troublemaker. Unfortunately blasters especially complain that they don't contribute because they only take down one target at a time. But, if it's the right target...
Stalkers are the best solo AT out there. Unfortunately they have limits v AVs especially, but also for leveling in general.
Also, while Sonic or FF without the ally res/def buffs works well solo, they are also good on teams, but in general people complain that you don't have them even though you are contributing in different ways by not taking those powers which kill solo viability... -
Even if AS was Autohit from stealth in PVE, we still can't placate AVs...

I'm still in the planning stages, but my next toon is going to be a Mental/Sonic troller, focused on solo-play... Just have to finish up my widow first...
Edit: I already hate that you have an ally anchor for disruption field rather than an enemy anchor... -
