  1. Wasn't there a post or a guide somewhere on the site which has the commands and guides to global chat? I'm going to try to link my groups tonight....but I do need instructions.
  2. Alliances- Look a supergroup is nice, but if you really want to get a good task force (or even a raiding party and adequate defenses for a supergroup headquarters) you need alliances. I'd like a system where we can link supergroups together. It will also allow me to move alts and the less than active players to a side group.

More Ranks- At least one rank for the founder.

Better Email options. I'd like to send group wide messages
  3. There are times where you just want to hop in and get rolling, and solo play is the best way to do that. I don't think it's particularly fair that AVs dominate many of the missions post 40. Most duos and poorly constructed trios can't complete some of these AVs. I can't solo anymore past that level mission wise. And street-hunting isn't particularly amusing. It would be nice to be able to have an epic one on one duel against someone as unique as an Archvillain. Batman vs. the Joker, Spider-Man vs. Doc. Octopus....there are times where I just don't want to call in (and shouldn't have to call in) for help. Sometimes, members in the supergroup are busy, and pickup players don't get the mission bonus XP if they hop in the mission at the very end. Which is rather ironic, because the mission can't be completed with out their aid.

    Boss Changes

Just wanted to drop a line...

I've been discussing many of these issues internally with the team...and I think I might have something interesting that satisfies both parties...but I've got to do more research first.

I know some people were upset when I didn't at least post a status in the Burn & Invulnerability threads (even when there wasn't much else to say), so I thought I'd try to avoid that mistake again!

Difference between an error and a mistake? A mistake is an error that goes uncorrected.
  5. Did you try hitting the reset key first, then either the ground move toggle or the flight toggle? I found that I needed to do that in order to get the binds setup properly.
  6. There are instructions on Gnarly's website. Basically...

    1) Unzip the file into a directory
    2) Run the Speed on Demand program
    3) Follow the instructions for setting your keys to the directions and which folder you want the binds in.
    4) Ingame...type "bind_load_file (drive\directory you placed the binds in\reset.txt"
    5) Hit "ctrl r" or the reset button to get you started.

Don't speak too soon... now that I've got the binds working as intended, extensive data mining shows that they are too efficient and can be used to give an unfair advantage over other players. I'm therefore going to Re-Balance them so that ALL archetypes have the proper levels of challenge, tedium, and aggravation while flying/running. To this end, Gnarly's binds will forthwith not work.

This is NOT a nerf, but a necessary fix to an overpowering set of binds. To make the game better for everybody, everybody must suffer. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Yeah! Nerf smoke grenade so that it automatically stops working when you move an inch. Then have it so that all the aoe fire primaries only end up hitting single targets when moving in flight or superspeed!
  8. I have the same chat issue as well. I didn't realize it at first, but after noting the times when I did start flying in random directions (and into lvl 36s much to my horror) it does happen after I type a message to someone.

I'm currently in the process of trying the binds again. IT wasn't working the way you said it would gnarly, but I thought of a change i could make.

    Edit
Ok, I reran the program and it works the way I want it to now. If I say "SUPER SPEED" for primary and "NONE" for secondary, Sprint will NOT turn on when I stop moving in Super Speed. And I did put X for the attack, which removes the unqueue, so my gun does not get put away. Everything looks good so far. no confused binds as of yet.
  9. I'll fool around with it tonight, but let's see if I understand what the dealy is. So, I rerun the bind program and replace the power with X, and that's it? I wasn't quite sure what you meant by replacing all instances of sprint with superspeed.

Was the unqueue just your way of turning sprint off when a characters stops moving?

I guess the reason why I wouldn't want my rifle put away after I run is primary during the middle of a battle. I'd like to eliminate those seconds where my blaster is drawing a gun and just finish off the opponent before it throws another attack at me. The priority for me though is making sure that sprint is off when I stop, even with stamina, I don't want to drain too quickly.
  10. Gnarly- I've been using the superspeed bind alot, and I like it and thanks for the option to redraw the weapon, however is there anyway to make the bind so it doesn't put away the weapon in the first place? I've been using it on my AR/Fire character, and I decided that tactically, it'd be wise to not have it automatically cue an attack. The reason being, I like to start by sniping but automatically cuing a sniper rifle is a bad idea because if the group's aggroed and i'm running away, the snipe will probably get interrupted and so it becomes a waste of end. Burst isn't a great option either because that it short range and it will aggro. Slug is also the same.

    Hmmm...

Ok, Oaken Filipino, here are some things to try, but I'm a bit befuddled too. Try cut and pasting the forward line (just the one line is enough) of your R.txt file, in your R subfolder into your reply. It should have 2 powexec_name calls to sprint, and 2 to Super Speed, with the Super Speed ones being 2nd.

Also, maybe do a /bind_save from the game, then look at the keybinds.txt file and make sure that line is the same as the one above from the R.txt file... if not hit control-R until you 'Tell' yourself that you're in Speed on Demand Mode.

Once we take a look at the binds that the program is making, we'll be able to tell why it's not working.

Ok, color me a moron. I hit control-r and everything worked the way it should. The binds are fairly difficult to break, though hitting ctrl-r and either t or g usually fixes it. (thankfully, it hasn't happened in battle)
  12. Gnarly-

I ran the program again, this time accepting the defaults but the speed on demand thing doesn't seem to be working still. I hit "g" and superspeed turns on as opposed to turning on when I moved. I typed SUPER SPEED like greyhawke did. I'm a bit puzzled because I believe I followed the directions to the letter.
  13. I did, I'll try it again, later tonight, though.
  14. Ahz, I've been using your latest binds, and I'm still having the same issue with it, in that when I activate superspeed by moving, I still end up in sprint mode when I stop.

Gnarley, I've been testing out your binds, and I've been getting the same errors as the above posters have mentioned but I haven't been moving in superspeed at all. Perhaps I'm not using your binds correctly, I haven't had a full chance to really play around and see what's wrong.
  15. Hey, Ahz, I've been using your bind for sometime now, and I like it, but I just got superspeed and i noticed that if I stop, I revert to sprint mode, which i don't quite want to do, since this character's quite an endurance hog. Is there anyway to change that? perhaps I loaded the bind incorrectly?
  16. Great binds, I've been using them and they work really well. There are times where the binds get messed up, but thankfully it's never happened in the heat of a battle. (and somehow they correct themselves).

Do i have to change the binds to work for superspeed or will it work automatically? thanks!
  17. Hm, I'll give it a go tonight...how's it working for you so far?
  18. What Gnarly did was made it so that if your binds are switched, all you need to do is toggle either of the keys in order to reset them. (For instance if i'm in the air, I hit "g" which is what I set to start hovering) I'm currently experimenting with gnarly's new ideas, but i am curious about the chord idea, even if i don't have any idea what it details.
  19. I'll be happy to help with the testing if you want. I have nothing else better to do
  20. Gnarly- So with these proposed changes, does this mean I will have less issues when it comes to moving while attacking or using a skill at the same time? (I'll test it out when I'm home playing) One of the issues I've been having is that if I change directions too quickly or attack and move before the attack animation finishes, my toggles get switched around. Now, I have to hit either of the reset keys to fix this, and i guess it could be a matter of working it into my subconsciousness so it becomes a nonissue, though sometimes in those situations when I decide to cheese it and flee, those seconds can mean the difference between getting shot out of the air and me escaping the scene debt free. (there were only two situations where the incorrect toggles caused me to die...one was with a scrapper trying to run away and shouldn't be trying to take down 5 orange conns at only half health and the other was my flying defender who was foolish enough to try to attack an aberrant and a few riflemen with a crappy electric bolt)
  21. I'm testing it now with my flying character it looks good and it's working. (i'm so use to wasd though i decided to just bind it to those keys instead)
  22. Has anyone used Gnarly's binds yet? I was just curious as to whether they work as intended. I have a two button mouse with a scroll, so I'm not so sure if I can get Blue Volt's to work as i'd like it to work.
