  1. don't forget the lollipop and the tutu.
  2. If you're looking for Terry and Rachel Dodson to draw a commission for you, I'd look elsewhere. I asked them at two seperate conventions and they don't do commissions.

I'm not in the links? Somebody needs to color the pictures of Zapros different people have done for me.

    You didn't ask. =P
  4. Good stuff, I'm usually nitpicky about the more toony styles, but that's a great picture. As if it were an animation cel from an actual episode.

By the way, I added you to the links page. =)

    Link time!

Just started working on the page. I decided on using 200x250 sized images. Here's how it looks so far. I'm linking only *Fan Art* Galleries right now, as well as Artist pages. As far as Artist Pages go, I'd ask that the artist have either a 200x250 graphic read, a sample piece of work they'd like me to crop and use instead. Otherwise, i'll just use a cropped sample of the work I like and pull from your page.

you can check out the page's progress here...

    Link time!

Hey, everyone. I'm currently working on updating my webpage and I decided it was time to do my links page. I'm planning on breaking it into two parts, one as a directory for artists and another as a directory for other art collectors. I've contacted some of you directly, but I'd like to invite everyone on the art forums to the page. As far as other fan art galleries are concerned, I'll put a small portrait of your character (preferably a thumbnail crop of your favorite artpiece) which i will use as the link to your site.

Artists are welcome to submit whatever banner they want, or just opt for a text link. Just be reasonable regarding the size.

I don't get alot of traffic to my site so all of this is obviously, free. Just thought it'd be a fun idea to start a little webring of sorts. You can view my page by clicking on the link in my signature.

    -Edit-
Collectors, feel free to post here, and I'll contact you shortly about which piece you want to use as a basis for the thumbnail.

Artists, please contact me via PM.
  8. *chuckles* your queue filled up in 15 minutes.
  9. *shares some cake with all* Thanks!
  10. *wails* I know, I'm so old...it's my last year in my mid-twenties...

"Well, if we are all 'weirdos' as you say... then would that not make this ordeal all the more interesting. Greensryche Industries is a prominent company on the isles- they would stage such a thing as this on good grounds. Furthermore.."

CC opened her mouth to reply and then paused. She closed her mouth. She opened it again and then scrunched up her face. Frowning, she tilted her head to side.

"He means that there's probably nothing bad going to happen, doofus," Lily said, smacking CC in the shoulder. "Gawd, your vocabulary needs work."

"Ow! Hey, no fair!" CC rubbed her shoulder and glared at Lily. The glare only lasted a few seconds as the pair took in the conversations between Sir Morgant, a pyro, some androids and a dog-person. They overheard someone mention introductions, and then the group appeared to start for the house en masse.

"Oooh! Let's go explore!" CC grabbed Lily's arm and started off towards the front door at a sprint. "'Scuse me, pardon me, comin' through cutie!" The last was directed at the guy who'd gotten off the motorcycle.

"Ninja masks are so last season!" Lily managed to call out as CC sped for the door. CC swung her arm forward as she skidded to a stop, flinging Lily over the arm of the sofa.

    "Oof!"

"Whoops! Sorry Lily!" CC sounded far too cheerful to be actually upset.

"Toad!" Lily pushed herself up and surveyed the room. Nodding nonchalantly at the others as they trickled in, she smoothed her hair and peered over the top of her sunglasses. She settled down to wait, leaning on the edge of the couch.

CC made a quick dashing circuit of the room, testing every door and peering into every corner. She even zipped up the stairs and back down again, ponytail streaming out behind her. Disappointed that there was nothing she could get into, she stomped down the stairs and over to Lily.

"Everything's locked," she whined. "What're we supposed to be doing?"

    [ QUOTE ]
"Greensryche Research, a subsidary of Greensryche Industries, thanks you for your interest regarding your participation in this social experiment. Unit Lyden requesting participants lower their voices and gather- contest parameters will then be detailed in full."

    [/ QUOTE ]

Lily shrugged. "Listen to the twerp, I guess." She shoved her sunglasses back up her nose and stared down at the ground. Only the slight twitching of her ears indicated that she was paying attention at all.

((Thanks to Bayani for posting this for me. Insert where appropriate. I'm fighting with the forums today. ))
  12. Feel free to check out my website as well. I keep in touch with all of the artists I've met through conventions and commissioned, many of which don't actually post on these forums. If you like a certain artist, I can give you their contact information, but after that, you're on your own.
  13. Bayani makes his third appearance in the book too. =P

  15. Well, I did write a guide to collecting art...it's located on my website below. Aside from hitting conventions, I mostly network with artists to get more art, which usually snags me some discounts. I don't normally collect more than one piece of work from an artist at a time unless I like their style alot. As far as freebie art goes, I got one from Celtic Bolt and Jim Tessier, but I don't ask for freebies unless I really like the style. It's my preference that no one draws Bayani unless they ask me first. I'm fairly picky, and like some control over how my character's portrayed. If I like someone's style enough to request art, I'm always willing to pay for it. (I apologize if this sounds obnoxious or snobbish to anyone, but I prefer quality over quantity of pictures)

<,<; While I understand why it might not be what you were after...

I gotta say I rather like the piece <'x'> Its probably not true to character - but definitely hilarious. That of course is merely my opinion <,<

Oh, I never said I didn't like it. My grumbling was all pretty tongue-in-cheek.

Ok - I messed around and here's my flats! *definitely* not finished yet; this is just the opening salvo so to speak hehe <,< I'll prolly even do more tonight; but I need to get some food.

Feeling alot better doing something (had a rough day in RL); thanks again for the opportunity.

Hey, that's coming along pretty nicely. Can't wait to see what the final piece looks like.
  18. excellent stuff, very interesting styles.
  19. Looking good, though I really recommend that you have someone else take the screenshots for you. All your shots look like you rotated the camera around on you. Which isn't bad, but you can really get some dynamic shots if you have someone else snapping for you.
  20. I just went ahead and signed up for geocities. I wanted to keep my site and gallery no frills. I didn't want to go through deviantart because the site seemed to run pretty slow. I think my monthly payment to keep my yahoo site is somewhere around $10-15 a month. I just use Yahoo's Page Builder to organize it.
