Poor lil nips, what did they ever do to you guys anyways?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The nips were over-powered. They had to be reduced to restore character balance.
  2. Writing for Comic Books, by Alan Moore

    Ta da!

(for the record I haven't read this book but when I spoke to writers at the conventions, they all recommended this. When I began writing my scripts, I drew on alot of what I learned from martial arts study, movie choreography, and well, comic books I've read)
  3. I updated the gallery with a newer version of the file. Brandon was kind enough to do some minor corrections and alter the colors a bit. He also cranked up the thermostat of the piece so it was a bit less chilly for some of the female characters. >.>

  4. Never thought to make a demo record. That's an interesting idea.
  5. When I took screenshots of Bayani for the profile page, I used my second account with max graphic settings to take the shots. I can help you take a high-rez shot later if you want. But yeah, having a second account or another person to take the shots for you is the best way to do it.
  6. Just out of curiosity, what goes into the endeavor?
  7. I don't plan on updating my guide anymore so feel free to remove it from the list when it comes time to update and purge the directory. Thanks.
  8. psst, David, you forgot the "a" at the end of your last name...

Hey,Bayani, where can we pick these gems up?

I think the books are gonna be fine work and wouldn't mind laying out a sheckle or two for them.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't believe NCSoft or Cryptic would be interested in the stories, so for now, my plan is to post the short stories on my website as they are completed.
  10. *waves* Welcome. and nice work!

Hey there Deadmeat. Your sample piece looks interesting. If you're still taking requests, you'll find a link to my gallery and screenshots in my signature. Thanks!
  12. I finished re-tooling the layouts of the Bayani website and added some new content to it. First up we've got Jeremy Farlow's take on Bayani. Special thanks to Rowr getting that hooked up for me. Next up, we have a special group picture gifted by one of my college friends, Robert Lin. It features some of the people that I'd like to thank for making my City of Heroes experience this year a fantastic one. Lastly, I've also put the script to "Community" up online as well. Thanks everyon and have a safe night!

  13. Hm, that's an interesting place to put a chat tab. I have no idea what you're saying. I tend to ignore the Virtue United channel. >.>
  14. Oops! Thanks for pointing that out.

Rowr: <.< I run out quickly.

  16. Hey there everyone! I'd like to start off by wishing all of you artists, collectors, and players that frequent the Screenshot/Art Forums a very Happy New Year. This particular section of the Official Forums has grown to be one my favorites with the level of friendliness, creativity and encouragement.

With my gallery currently under reconstruction, I also wanted to give a sneak preview to my upcoming project. City of Heroes been really good to me this past year, especially with the honor of a cameo in City of Heroes #12 and my story "Closure" being published in issue #15. I'm hoping the next year will be even bigger as I have just completed three short comic book scripts featuring Bayani. I'm pleased to announce that Brandon McKinney will be the penciler/inker for the stories. The colorist will be announced at a future date.

Recently, I posted a thread looking for volunteers to be in one of those stories, titled "Community". I wish I could have included everyone from that thread, but there just wasn't enough room to do so. In the end, I chose BAS's Yesmina Glint for the guest role and gave the cameo appearances to Mr. Majesty, Celtic Bolt, Feral Cat, Comrade Hero, Hour Woman, White Peregrine, Killer Whale, Planet Girl and Roxstar. Thanks go out to everyone who volunteered their characters for the story.

Here's a sneak preview of the layouts for the story. I hope you enjoy them! Again, have a safe and happy new year!

    I'm so honored

    Your first name is Lee?
  20. Yay. I made one of the cuts. ^_^

I have to say that my favorites are actually listed in yours, Juggs: the Comrade Hero piece, Chief Justice, and Mr. Majesty.

As far as my favorite Bayani pieces this year, I'd say that I'd match these five against anything else...

Days of the Future Nerfed by MMOArt

Captain Mako vs. Bayani by Brandon McKinney

"Bayani, Old Skool" by Gene Colan, colored by Tyson Wengler

    Bayani Headshot, by Steve McNiven

Contempt of Court by Yvel Guichet
  21. Some really nice McKinney work there, **. Not too shabby on the colors there either, Wraith.

I need to see your list of people you've tracked down one of these days. Then I need to stop being poor. Anyone have any recommendations on how to go about doing that? I'd like to use my creativity/imagination if at all possible.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Second job, good screenshots, comic book conventions, good networking skills, and persistence. At least that's how I do it, and I've managed to get some really famous comic book artists to do some work for me.
