Country?! I'm from the USA, so is my brother. Though his wife is from Japan, we was Born in Maine. Well I was born in Salem, Mass he was born in Maine.

Ah, I see. Here's the thing, I contacted one of the websites where I saw Susan Steel pictures on and they informed me that the studio of artists that created and draw Susan Steel are originally from and still located in Brazil.

I'm sorry but I'm really having a tough time understanding your posting. Where are you and your brother found originally, if I may ask?

yes... he originally made a few comic books, I thought I said that. And I do believe I remember saying he once made is own super heroes. I just didn't say what kind of art stuff he does, and comic book stuff..it's kinda how you say, it's hard to know people that do those type of comics. But thanks for asking I do try to be honest, I mean after all what do I have to gain if I fibbed on it? nothing.

You're saying that Susan Steel is your original creation; the same way that Thor's Assassin is TA's original creation. As I read this thread, you're saying that you created Susan Steel in City of Heroes and your brother saw you playing the character one day and asked if you wanted a drawing of her. You post that image, which happens to be content available at a pay adult site and free to download at others.

So now you're saying your brother created several Susan Steel adult comics during college and sold them to an adult website only recently?

My point is that you have people here inquiring about commissions for this brother of yours. He has no website or store front and there seems to be holes in your story. This is a community of players who pay hard-earned money for original artwork of their characters. This seems like the start of a scam to collect money from these players who want a commission when in fact there's enough evidence to cast reasonable doubt as to whether or not this Susan Steel character is a valid creation or simply art you lifted from someone else.

    Susan Steel

This character, Susan Steel, is a published adult comic character and can be found online by simply googling the name. Are you saying that you're the original creator of this character, and your brother drew that same picture for adult websites Susan Steel's been seen on? There are pictures of this same character having relations with a freakin' horse. It's not permissible to post links to adult websites on this forum, but that specific image in the original post is a direct lift from a website and anyone who'd like to request proof of that, I can provide web addresses.

I have to say that this is pretty disappointing and I would advise anyone to avoid getting a commission until these claims can be verified as not a scam.

    you mean this one?

Hey, that's the one! Thanks, Alex. (Yeesh, I forget when my girlfriend's birthday is but remember every piece of art ever done for Bayani. Selectively obsessive compulsive. That's me. >.&gt

do you mean of my own work - or fan art of Juggertha?

Just your gallery count bud. Yours and your collected pieces.

    [ QUOTE ]
Double-checked my gallery... I'm at at 51, assuming you don't count the colors, inks, and penciled works as separate pieces. If you include the unfinished comic book, then it's 59. Overall, I've commissioned 70 pieces, as I've purchased/negotiated gift art for the characters Rowr, Planet Girl, Lydia Chapman, Titaness, Gypsy Witch, Rainbow Avenger, Kichi, and Coldforge. I've also tossed out one piece of Bayani art (because it was just that bad) and another artist passed away before he finished his commission for me. *bows head* RIP Michael Turner. =(

For the most part, everything in my gallery was paid or bartered for. And there's neat stuff in there that are pretty unique (official cameo page, a full comic book story, and the custom DS) so I'm pretty proud of what I've collected and the direction it's going in.

I was counting it all man, i can see where ya have multiples in there with pencils, inks and then colors of the same piece.I have tried personally to keep all the pencils and inks in scraps if i had multiples and just show the final piece in the gallery.

For your collection you should be proud, thats a hell of a thing to get all those brilliant artists in one gallery. Sorry to hear about your piece coming from Mr Turner. That would have been sweet to of got it though for sure. Between you and me i had planned to follow your lead in collecting the big comic artists as well, thats before the bottom fell out for me financially though. I'd also say that the ratio for commissioned pieces to requests/gift pieces is still in favor of commissioned works in my gallery. I just wish i had disposable cash still, i have a long list of artists i would like to pursue for a piece. Always the artwhore lol.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sure if you double count the colors and inked versions of stuff, I'd have closer to 80. But in terms of unique linework, 51. =) Though actually I never did find that birthday piece Alex did for me so I guess it's 52. It's floating somewhere on the tubes I'm sure.

So just as a curiosity i was wondering how many pieces every one had in their galleries. Officially i am at 394.

Yeah it seems kinda vein but it's not a competition. Plus it's been a while since i had anything to post up on the fanart boards lol.

  9. I prefer having one perfected character portrayed rather than a slew of creations myself. Blaster turned scrapper.

    Best Inked: Planeteers and Paladins

Best Colors: (tied) Enter: The Bayani and Civil War: Bayani
  11. Nice guy to work with. I had him draw Bayani, myself.
  12. Couple of new pieces tossed onto the Bayani Gallery...

    Red Shadows by xShaunx

    Anime Style by Bokuman

Heritage by LastScionz and Sorah. (story linked on VirtueVerse.)
  13. I like the wraps for hands and feet myself. As far as colors go, I usually prefer black as a primary with a brighter secondary color like gold or white. Then again, I'm more of a traditionalist myself when it comes to martial arts attire.
  14. Favorite artists in the CoH side of things are DN and Brandon McKinney. Old skool artists like Kevin Knowlan, Gene Colan, and Alan Kupperburg are awesome too.

The crop of pinoy artists that have been breaking into mainstream comics is pretty amazing too. Leinil Yu, Stephen Segovia, Francis Manapul, and Lan Medina all rock.

I just recently finished Madame Mirage and Rocafort's art is amazing too.
  15. Ooooh. *bookmarks for future reference*
  16. Like I said, I'll get an even hotter/better version done in the future. =P Next time I'm not sharing any of my other plans for commissions.
  17. Yeah, he sent me a note too. I saw him run through a few ideas for Bayani, but I decided to pass on seeing it to the end. Didn't really feel right for my character.
  18. Civil War: Bayani

Yes well, I had a year of slacking to make up for. Other collectors might start catching up to me so I better get my act in gear.
