  1. *looks sad now that his sub's been tainted by coffee and swiss cheese and tosses the remains into the trash before settling back in to work*
  2. I used the Fantasy Blade (Broadsword) myself for the escrtma minions in my mission arc. It's somewhat similar to the moro barong blades and kampilans as I could get. The police batons work fairly well for escrima sticks too. WE should petition and demand the Filipino sun as an addition to to the costume creator. Those hokey neighbors to the north got their maple leaf and there's the hammer/sickle. *pokes around for requests*
  3. Aw. *offers Fey a share of his lunch, a chicken parmesan sub*
  4. *hands becky some goggles and a snorkel straw*
  5. Just working on a Saturday here. I like it actually, as I get alot done here. The quiet is great too.

LOL I actually did make a female one... wish they had longer skirts. But at least I got the sleeves right... based on the classic female barong sleeve.

    Yer coming home NOW!

Poor BAB... nothing beats the scorn of his woman, especially a filipino woman, ask my aunts... lol Oh and please excuse my attrocious Tagalog...

Considering that in many Filipino families I know, it's the dudes who stay at home, drink and carouse while the women are the bread-winners, I can see that happening. What's with the ugly club though? Rattan is so much more elegant. *pok pok*
  7. If you do, make a female one and break the cycle! The only other Filipino heroine I've stumbled across on dA is "Panty Cat". Soooo yeah. Good opportunity there to stand out.
  8. Mornin', folks. *sips a cup of coffee and sets up his laptop to do some work*

This looks perfect for one of my alts. I've had this guy since Shadowrush became level 50 in early 2006. He's a Filipino Peacebringer named Bandila. His name means "flag" in Filipino. So of course, his costume is inspired by the Philippine flag.

I've been browsing dA and playing this game for years and I've noticed that there are so many Pinoy who've created heroes with costumes based on the Filipino flag. There's alot of country pride for the Philippines I guess. ^_^ I'm glad I snagged Bayani early and made him my own.
  10. Finally. done with my storyarc. I think. *yawns and tosses a hat on, then trudges home*
  11. *Glances up from his book and winks* Could be both, Wendy.
  12. *takes a break from his work to stretch and gloss over some rough drafts of his incoming commissions.*

I kinda got tired of just using screenshots for a model sheet, as alot of details are kinda lost in just the screenshot. I've been working with an artist on making a real one.

    Rough Draft p1
    Rough Draft p2

    Whatcha think so far?
  13. Accounting stuff mostly, Orchid. I enjoy it, but it's not terribly exciting to talk about.
  14. Just 'cause the shareef don't like it.

*starts up the coffee machines and settles down at his desk to work*
  15. Yeah I lucked out with him. He actually upgraded all his pre-order sketches to a full 11x17 commission. It really pays to pre-order those books.
  16. Are you looking in the screenshots folder in the CoH game directory? Or are you printscreen and copying to MS Paint or another program?
  17. Sorah just finished wrapping up the poster for the storyarc I'm working on right now....

    Pagkagising ng Kaluluwa

Also picked up a freebie from ThinCage for pre-ordering his artbook.

    Bayani Freebie

Still lots coming down the pipeline. w00 w00.

Tatziki Sauce. *points accusingly at everyone in the room. Get your mind out of the gutters!
  19. That seems like an awful lot of stages for work under $50. For 20 minute sketches at a convention, that's usually been the starting price. Some artists don't even go through an inking stage. For me, part of the fun is finding/meeting new artists and on DA, I use to receive alot of artists messaging me, asking me to commission them and well, I kinda hate that. I typically search through galleries and favorites of the people I watch on dA. If I like an artist's work, I'll inquire about commissions and prices, "famous" or otherwise.

    Edit-

Well, I can understand wanting to see the flats stage. If a color for a specific object is just plain wrong, well it'd be more work for the artist, since he/she would basically have to start that area all over again.
