  1. I'm still writing a short story (and lord, it doesn't have a title yet) but well, here's the cover to Bayani vs. Kim Paler.

Unbelievably fast turnaround. The linework was penciled by Top Cow Artist Stjepan Sejic. It's kinda funny how alot of artists I've been watching and waiting for a chance to commission just seem to become available when I have an idea they're well suited for.

Anyways, here's a cover piece that'll be colored eventually, which'll help separate the planes more.

    Bayani & Kim Paler

Bayani, let me run this by you....
Every year at the draft we pick, randomly, draft positions, 3 of hte last 5 years, 'somehow' the guy who passes the hat around seems to get the first pick and has won twice..He says its not his fult. To counter this, I am suggesting we draft by reverse-order of win/loss records from last season. This isnt a dynasty league and Im wondering if I should include playoff win/losses in figuring out who drafts when.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well in the league I've been running, we had a bracket tournament for the non-playoff teams which determined the draft order for the following year. I would omit playoff wins and losses.

  5. Lord. How much do those run for? I paid about...1800 for my system 3 years ago.

And Bayani, is that fantasy football you were referring to?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Indeedily do. Dynasty League formed from last year. It's rolling over to this year, dropping to ten teams from 12. There are 9 confirmed players atm. Just need a tenth to round it out and start mucking with the schedules.
  7. *casually browses a football magazine and ponders who to fill the last spot in the league with*
  8. I'm not so sure. Could be that people are just shifting their preferences content-wise.
  9. I had issues with playing some computer games when I had an SLI setup (twin 7600GTs). Could've been driver issues and what not. I knew of some others that did too. Generally, I've found it to be a pain in the butt to work with and not worth the effort. Some benchmarks found that adding a second video card generally adds on an additional 33% of video processing power. I ended up just buying a higher end card for roughly the same costs and it's been less of a hassle, but more faster than my 2 card set up.

    jealous...want a second monitor myself...but I need a new desk and a second graphics card too >.>

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why do you need a second graphics card? I'm only using one.

    [/ QUOTE ]

could be mistaken, though I believe it would take stress off the main one...though my current one has random fits when it wants to make my screen black out >.> yay display driver problems!

    [/ QUOTE ]

If you put in a second card, you end up with an SLI setup, which could make things worse. While I do use an 8800GT at home, my work computer is a Dell Latitude e5400 and that video card is pretty weak. (I think it's actually an onboard video card) I can still dual monitor at work though.
  11. Wow. Huge tracts of land there. And baby got some back, eh?

  13. Neat stuff. Odd how his site's saying he's not accepting commissions at this time.

Edit* Nevermind. Saw the journal. >.>
  14. *strolls in, carrying a surfboard* Heyo folks. Fine morning for some waves. *dries his hair*
  15. I remember the Killer Whale and his fangirl too. That was...odd.
  16. Two parts to solve it...one being that you submit a character that may be conducive to the theme and two, suspending disbelief.
  17. Because, you know, a bunch of grown men and women playing dressing up digital dolls is serious internet business. Really, is there *that* much harm in giving themes an honest-to-goodness effort? "Picture This" is a short game that exercises and challenges the imagination. What's the worst that could happen? A re-imagined character that looks sucky? 'Cause I gotta say, there are plenty of not so rockin' concepts running around in CoH. I don't think creating more is going to hurt anyone.

If you want to see how interesting a theme could make things, check out Marvel's limited series, 1602. The Marvel Universe shifted into the 17th century. Really, I don't see how a theme "limits" things. The only thing in a game like this that's really stopping you is your own imagination. Step out of the box a little and see what you can really do. A theme is a challenge that would only help you be a better writer/designer in the long run.
