I don't believe it's open yet.
*yawns and stretches out, fiddling with his dA Gallery* -
Quote:I do. =P Hey, don't forget to answer my note! *pokes*Oh, don't worry. It's comin'.
Plan is to start a separate 'David's Art Thread' for the more polished art (like Viceroyalty). But I figured I'd finish off the sketches first, and there're about 15 more of those at least with more trickling in every week.
Been a little slow with the uploads this week, thanks to a freelance thing I'm wrapping up now.
Anyway, stay tuned! -

ZOMG major drama this morning...
Kelly just told Zach she can't go to the prom with him. -
I don't believe she's in-game anymore. Was sorta just hoping that maybe some of her friends from CoH might still run with her in another game or something.

Hola, folks.
I'm looking to get in touch with the player of Sparrowhawk/Hour Woman. A few years ago, I commissioned an 8 page comic story that included a cameo of a few other players' characters and it's almost done. I wanted to get her a copy of the image but I don't have any contact information for her. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. (Her cameo appearance was the most awesome one, thought she should at least see it).
Thanks for any assistance. -

*casually peeks in to check out the competition* Hrm...

Hm. *tosses his character's hat into the ring* Alright. I'll give it a go.

Hm...starting to get the itch to expand the CoH Universe Section of my dA gallery. Any folks interested in some free art? Toss me a screenshot of your favorite character (headshot and full figure), and maybe...juuuuust maybe you'll get something. Dunno who will draw them yet, but whoever the artist ends up being, it'll look awesome. (Srsly, in terms of overall quality, my collection's one of the best around, I know what I'm doing.) No promises though. Selection's up to the artist(s). Offer extended to the Rookery first, for now. I'll take...hm....4 submissions.
Click the link for samples of gift art I've negotiated for folks in the past. -
*grabs a coffee refill* Hola, folks.

I keep all of the art I've collected of my character on my dA page, which is linked in my signature below. Here are some of my favorites though.

*Stretches and yawns* Almost time to go hooooome.

I really like the single-color splashes you put into the Killing Chill and Sly Devil portraits. Very nice touch.

*shrugs* He must be doing something right if he's making a living out of being an artist. THere's a pretty big market out there (I'm guessing...if there wasn't, he wouldn't sell any books). And it's not like he's hurting anyone with his art. I don't find his art particularly appealing and quite frankly there are plenty of artists out there selling their services who draw just as terribly. Why isn't anyone hating on them? Is it because they don't make as much money as Liefeld? Looks and sounds petty to me. I'm sure Liefeld, artistical taste aside, is a nice person who's good to his friends and family, and I wouldn't go so far as to try to be mean-spirited and humiliate him at a convention or on a website. Seriously, there are better things to focus efforts on.

Quote:*tosses his visor over to Rook* Here you go.Hiya Bayani! *reaches for Bay's sunglasses as they zoom past but misses.
Uhm Fedor, there is a green kitty with a black dress and witches hat behind us in a wooden lamborcheesi. I think she wants us to pull over.
I hope it has nothing to do with these sparkly rube thigh-highs I sto.....liberated.
/e waggles feet.
Ah well Viv, it it's the internets it will hopefully blow over in a while! :P We got all the anemones of home here so make yourself comfortable. -
Quote:Oh so it is similar to what I had started doing. pbbbt.I hope the initial theme isn't misleading; essentially it's a "Provide me a setting and I'll write you a story" situation, and if I do select an individual there will be PM convos discussing the deeper details behind the scenario rather than just having them strike a pose in front of Great Wall of China; overall, I hope there will be a great deal of character-story development. After an agreement has been reached then I select from a variety of artist's who I believe have the talent to render the quality I'm looking for (Don't worry, I'm not pulling you in
).

Quote:Very cool idea Gray, very similar to what Bayani was doing, but possibly on a large scale, and more varied.
Most of my chars from the Heriverse are native of Earth, Praetoria, or other alternate Earths, and a few of them from another planet but displaced to Earth somehow. All of them are native to the Paragon City, aside from Arizona Summer, who is from that state, but running around PC for the time being. All ATs are accounted for, take yer pick on what grabs you, if anything.
All the Heris and Wherls are different in their natures and interests and M.O.s, although the constant is most everything tends to center on Heri as she tried to be a hero, and in turn focuses on Wherl, who's her Praetorian opposite. Things go back and forth between here and Praetoria between all the mess.
And then there's Herricane, who just kinda goes about the whole superhero thing in a fun lackadaisical manner. She of all the Heris would be the one that would be globetrotting while exploring and having fun, and prolly has her own international exploits and memories.
Kim Paler/FireBrandi's been doing crossovers too, though I think both of our aims were mostly character-story related rather than background scenes. What I've been doing is selecting characters that I can see guest-starring in a Bayani comic book, if one were to ever be made. As far as scale goes though...*shrugs* well everyone knows I'm extremely picky about artists and shoot for high-level quality commissions so I don't have a whole lot of volume going. (not volunteering my characters by the way, but I'll be interested in seeing what you end up with) -
