Come now, this isn't fair. Clearly, English isn't Ra/Osiris/Isis's first language. (Despite what Stargate might have you believe.)

Didn't your parents teach you to do just that, say "I am sorry" when you were wrong? I know mine did and I teach the same to my own children, it is only right after all.
My dad actually got tired of hearing "I'm sorry." He'd much rather hear "I was wrong." But I suppose you want both. Unless that's wrong, then I'm sorry.
  3. Yeah, a great guide. As for your question, deadboy_champion, I have 3 Dual Pistols characters.

    A DP/EM Blaster, a DP/Fire Blaster and a DP/Kin Corrupter.

Of the three, leveling the DP/EM feels like easy mode. He's 48 while the others are 15 and 35. Though, I've yet to get to enjoy the big power that I think draws many people to DP/Kin. The /fire is more of a concept character, but I can see great things from a Build Up -> Fire Sword Circle -> Hail of Bullets combo.
  4. I won't be able to make the Halloween gathering, but I thought I'd pop in and say a little something regarding Titan Industries. This group was one of the reasons I left Freedom and began exclusively playing on Virtue.. the RP is just that much fun. Laid back, fun people to be around and some great writing. Plus, as Ascendant said, our OOC channel is usually a buzz with something. I'm also a member of the spin off group that Kai started, the Ares Syndicate, and have equally good things to say about that.

I've been around for a while, more or less since CoH launched, and this is the group I call home above any other. Check us out, or if you have any questions, send me a tell at @Epsicon.

Also one of my favorite series... and the sole reason I hold out hope for some sort of great sword power set.
  6. I guess I should have stated that my PC is so incredibly pathetic that it can't even handle something like Starcraft 2, while Attack of the Show is stating this little guy can handle it on medium settings. While Starcraft 2 would be nice, I'm more concerned with having City of Heroes be playable than anything else. I'm used to bare minimum settings on this rig, so a boost in FPS and the ability to move about the house would be excellent.
  7. Thank you! PMed him right away, looking for a decent upgrade to my own pathetic rig and going mobile would be even better.
  8. Not a hardware guy (anymore) by any means, so while looking at the specs... I still don't know if this little guy would/could handle City of Heroes on modest settings. If anything, I was assuming it would *have* to perform better than my eMachine. I saw this reviewed on Attack of the Show the other day, curious if anyone has picked one up and tried City of Heroes. OR, if any of you tech savvy people knew enough about the Nvidia ION graphics controller to judge it's power.

I think 'new' Metallic is truer to the concept of an all-chrome character, but I understand that you'd like a mix-n-match plainer version as well. Totally understood.
Thanks, you're awesome. Read your earlier posts and if these new pieces are indeed a simple remastering/HD version, I wouldn't mind option 1. Just as long as the entire look and feel of the piece doesn't shift, ala my experience.

Also, I still feel that this introduces unnecessary clutter into the system, reduces new user-friendliness, and ultimately hurts the game experience.
Same but better sounds great here, but the Ultra mode overhauls to the Metallic set of pieces ruined one of my character's costumes. My first 50 from launch, in his signature outfit. It still looks fine on the settings I play, but clashes severely for those running the game at it's highest settings. I still have it as a costume slot, but he plays as something else entirely.

I know you can't promise that won't happen with these revamped pieces, but I think that's what we're concerned about here.

I like this idea... we get to keep our existing pieces while still getting "the new shiny" and the menus don't become a mess.

He still did a better job coming into the game cold then you did as a "vet." You're looking at competing with hundreds of other online reviewers, dozens like BFF that are sponsored by companies. Name one reason why I should go to your site for your review over any of these other people? I didn't see that reason in your review. If anything, I saw a reason to never watch another review from your youtube channel.

Agreed. Here's someone who does comedy and a decent review.

Take notes, GKaiser. This is your competition, among other people.
  14. I stopped watching before the real review even began. Are you a comedy team or are you a reviewer? Very few people can do both well, so choose your approach. A talking sword, needless vulgarities and looking at your bland apartment were immediate turn offs... it took you a minute fifteen to even start reviewing. No thanks. Yeah, I could have skipped ahead but closing the browser is so much easier.
  15. I always preferred the Apex, Horus and War Witch trio over the Freedom Phalanx. Really hoping this confirms some content involving them, been wanting to see Apex in game for a LONG time.
  16. Noticed this on two characters today. On my lvl 50 main, he has the Vanguard Badge and the Criminal badge, his progress to the Accolade badge is 100% but it still unrewarded. On another character, he has the Patroller badge and the Monitor Duty badge, the progress shows 100% but he hasn't been rewarded the Accolade badge. Anyone else having this problem?
  17. Lower Legs -> Pants -> Warrior

Still there on my screen, at least on the regular male model.

Agreed. Praetoria runs slightly worse for me than the Isles. Not unplayable, but not great. Certain missions dropped my frame rates into the single digits. As for those saying buy a new PC or upgrade... some of us have financial responsibilities outside of the game's typical demographic's. Like a family, bills and what not. Expendable income isn't always amazingly abundant for us. So, unless you're buying...

I'll hope Praetoria receives further optimization as has been mentioned elsewhere, but if not, 12 fps is still playable for me.
  19. Absolutely in love with my kinetic melee stalker... thank you, devs!
  20. I didn't check every costume piece... but do we know for sure what parts the Syndicate overlays are available on? So far, I've only found the Dragon on the back of the Baron Coat and the stripes on the regular pants. Doesn't seem to be available for tights.
  21. Finally got a villy to the upper 40's, started my patron arc. Chose Ghost Widow because I don't care for the other guys (save Lord Recluse) but knew ahead of time I wanted Scirocco's lightning. I also knew Issue 13 let me switch pools with a respec, so I figured go with Ghost Widow and do her arc, then get my lightning afterward.

Finished the first arc and put the hurt on Numina, was granted my badge and a respec. Then, I realized she had more missions than just the initial. So....

Stupid Question: If I respec and switch into Scirocco's pools, will the game shift my patron to him instead of Ghost Widow? Or will it still count me as Ghost Widow's goon with handcuffed lightning?

    Thanks in advance.
  22. Yeah, the original question was if it was in emote form inside the game for screen shot purposes. It's a great pose with the guns drawn across the chest, perfect for character full body shots.

As Roderick said, it appears to the vampire pose (I've seen it in MA a couple times, had simply forgot that is what it looked like. In all fairness, the drawn pistols probably threw me off.) and is thus not available for players to use.

I was hoping it was one of the new I17 emotes (and hadn't been documented) and usable in game, again, for screen shot purposes or RP.
  23. Was a pain to figure out screen shots inside the creator, but got some.

And... no. That's not John Preston at all. *whistles*
