Castle really was straddling the frace line tonight, in the best way possible, between Esposito's injuries and Castle constant talk abotu tiem travel and time ripples. And the DeLorean.
That Steampunk club looked awesome. I wish there really was one in NYC. I would visit my sister more often it there was!

Quote:True. Though past putting Pete back into high school, do we know how much similarities there are going to be with USM?...I thought this movie was going to be closer to the Ultimate Universe version of Spider-Man? If so, then Gwen gets killed by Carnage...
I don't see Gwen Stacy lasting more than one or two movies. While Joey Q may hate MJ, she is a large part of Spider-Man's legacy, supporting and loving Peter, while Stacy's impact is more with her death (though she was an important supporting character while she lived).
That being said, I doubt they bring in Carnage to kill her. With the failure of Venom in SM 3, I don't think they want to touch any symbiote-related storylines and was, in part, reason for the reboot. -
It's going to be Green Goblin, I mean, if they are so intent of having Gwen Stacy over MJ, you know they are going to go with the villain that led to her death.

I really want to pick Gandalf over Charlotte from Charlotte's Web, but he didn't face Shelob in the books.
Now, if it was Samwise... -
I just caught up on the two episodes I missed while on vacation/recovering from vacation. They were okay, nothing special. I agree, Jason Ritter/Sean is the only standout reason to watch the show for me.
And despite them being called "not terrestial" on the show, I still think they are from the future and the 1% difference in DNA comes from them being slightly more evolved, maybe through genetic manipulation. -
Now Batman needs a cheesy, campy villain in the comics that does distribute business cards to really get this going.
-
I did as well. Insurrection was meh, but Picard, Riker, Data...I don't mind them on the big screen. I thought Nemesis was okay, but with the tagline on the poster, plus Data's "death," I knew it was going to be the final TNG one.
It makes sense. With TNG on the big screen, and DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise on TV during the decade, plus TNG:TV, it was time to scale down. -
Duuuuuuuuuude, man, I hear if you start to play the soundtrack to "The Wizard of Oz" right when Michael Bay's name comes up in the opening credits, it totally syncs up!

The one thing I will say, and it was discussed on the AV Club's review of the episode, is that all the atheist were that way because something bad happened to them or the world was mean to them. Rather than the fact that some atheist simply, "logically" (I am not saying it one way or the other) just don't believe in God.
Kurt touched upon this with his teapot analogy, but for him, that was backtrack reasoning to feeling abandon by God after the death of his mom and the church's stance on his orientation. -
To be fair, not many, if any, people can imitate Michael Stipe's style

I too was expecting Finn to use his last wish on Burt, but have that not work, and that leads to Finn "Losing His Religion" (which, of course, is NOT a song about losing one's religion)
-
So yeah, when I saw the preview with Burt in the coma and my sister said "Wait, they are killing him off?" I said no way, they just made him a regular! And sure enough, he woke up at the end. So yay!

"Grilled Cheesus" aka "Chris Colfer's Emmy Reel"

Based on the previews (which pissed off my sister when we watched them), I would be utterly shocked if they followed through with it.
I mean, we have had discussion over this character and what he/she means. -
If X happens to Y, I will be so Z!

This was not mentioned in the sports almanac I have...

Watched it on Sunday, jetlagged, and with my sister and her boyfriend. Her bf had already seen it so he warned us that the songs weren't really new interpretations, just recreations, so that tempered our disappointments. But the basic scene to scene reenactments of the music videos were boring and the minor variations musically didn't help things. The plot was thin and I feared Brittany overload (not that she wasn't hilarious, but sometimes a charcter works better in small doses. Heather morris is hot though).
I did laugh at the memes they threw around, "Leave Britney Alone" and "Is this real life?" but no Kurt or Mercedes singing brings down the episode for me. Also, felt bad for
Kurt, just because in his fantasy sequence, he didn't even get to walk, like he did for "Safety Dance."
Highlight of the episode for me was Rachel's evil plotting and Will's storyline, just because my sister kept on saying "Oh, she/she is such a loser." Sometimes Glee is best enjoyed while mocking it -
Quote:Obviously, Sesame Street made a huge mistake.Gob Bluth visits Sesame Steet, complete with "Final Countdown" theme.

Quote:She hosted the Teen Choice Awards, appeared on Nickelodeon...So what exactly has Katy Perry done that's anything close to "kid friendly" anyway to even get her on Sesame Street to begin with?
..and despite the California Gurls video (which is more silly sexual than raw sexual), I don't think she is overtly sexual, any more so than Britney and Christina were. I don't recall any uproar over live performances where she gyrated inappropriately, had salicious dance moves, etc.
Yes, her breakthrough song was "I Kissed A Girl," but I think she comes across winking in her sexuality, in that it is much more of a "Teehee, I am so innocent and I don't know what I am doing."
Or, she is like Lady Gaga in her sexuality, in that I don't think we are meant to take it seriously. She isn't early Madonna, trying to shock people.
