I can't see any reason why it would have been as the aformentioned sword was named such because it didn't fall into either the one handed or two handed sword categories. Therefore using it to name a powerset could be considered a foolish idea due to the complaints it would no doubt cause.

Broadsword being a much wider ranging (and safer) option to go for.

I am also impressed the forums didn't [censor] the word too - was this a genuine question or a test of the forums

Has anyone got a good example build for Bots/Traps MM? I am dabbling into the murky waters villains side but have no idea of what to go for

Lol I did find it a really good and friendly VG - if I ever have enough patience to play CoV regularly I will probably re-apply for membership

My stalker was in the Handies but fell foul of the 14 day rule lol - I dont play CoV enough to stay in a SG with that kind of ruling as I am more of a periodical villain lol

This is exactly it - it seems you can play on Villains for hours and not see anything in Broadcast or just see the odd person running about - I think hero-side just seems to be a comparative hive of activity.

Could also be that my Global list is more made of heroes

I play hero-side and get a lot of enjoyment out of the level progression and zones. Even new alts have kept me entertained following a short break.

I decided last night, following my brief sabbatical, to create a villain. Masterminds have always intrigued me and seem fun to play - played happily in the costume creator and before long my masterpiece was born!

That is where the problems started. I avoided the training section as I detest it with a passion villain-side and went straight to Kalinda. As soon as it loaded up Mercy I felt I couldn't face playing there and logged back onto Heroes.

I don't know why this is though, I love CoH and CoV is essentially the same game with a few graphical differences. Is it the fact that it always looks gloomy and depressing in the Rogue Isles compared to the relative bright cleanliness of Paragon. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is that puts me off CoV but I desperately would love to play the Villain AT's but just can't bring myself to do it!!! I did (some time back) get a Stalker to 50 through much patience and short stints but every other Villain I tried did not get past lvl 14.

Is it just me being somewhat odd or have other people felt this way (about Heroes or Villains) and is it because I started the game on CoH and that is familiar to me compared to the relative strangeness of CoV. To use 'the shoe analogy' - opting for the comfy old trainers rather than the shiny new shoes!

Yeah it can be kind of annoying sometimes to try to exit Oroborous when the exit portal is surrounded

I too have a TA/A def almost at 30 - teaming she is great fun with debuffs aplenty (and of course Oil Slick & Burning Arrow). Solo she is still great to play but I wouldnt consider it 'easy' by any means - it seems kind of 'Moderate' in that minions and Lts g down easily but bosses almost always end up with my health being a sliver at the end of the bar. I suspect once I get RoA and complete some slotting then 'Easy' is a distinct possibility but getting there if I can't find a team is slow going.

Saying that though I have set her rep to 'Rugged' and perhaps I am being over-ambitious being more used to tanking than defending!

Thanks guys - will think up a char for Claws/Willpower and give that a go. I would like a lvl 50 scrapper - even if it is just to complete the set

I have always struggled to enjoy scrappers but after a break i am feeling now might be the time. However - what powersets are good for solo play? I have made a bs/regen but before i invest time in him are there powersets that will give better solo survivability?

What worked for me was go in, defeat all in bank except one of the minions in the first room (so the bank robber wouldnt get away) then you can just nip out and do side missions. Once done exit via van and reset. Reselect mish and repeat.

I put eveything I get into WW at 1 inf. Partially because I cannot be bothered putting the effort in to try to make huge profits from everything - and partially to help the world economy.

A respec trial shouldnt have too much difficulty - they are usually quite popular and give good XP. Like you said though Dual Builds and veteran respecs will make them less of a necessity than they once were

I switched to my 2nd build on my new Defender because I didnt want to have to go all the way to Galaxy City from Talos to respec before I bought enhancements so I just switche builds. Best bet is either join one of the badgehunter channels or broadcast in IP to see if anyone is interested!

I will volunteer to guinea pig it - PL me to 50 and I will give you a valuation for services rendered then you know what to charge other people - and best of all - I will not charge you for it

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Devs have finished i14, i15 and i16 and are currentl;y kicking back in their reclining chairs playing WoW on 22" widescreen monitors whilst laughing at the foruumites speculation!

There is the option of having the Fire/Kin troller for farming - and build a different alt for fun - then you get the best of both worlds lol
