Adding an image:
In the Character List (My Account -> My Characters), click on the "Edit Character" button to the right of the character. You should see a link on the right side under "Character Avatar" that says "Upload a Custom Image".
Badges not showing up:
That one I don't know. Would you be able to start a thread over in the Tech Support section of the Titan boards where we can gather some data and dig into that? -
If you want to run the tracker without logging into CIT, you will still be able to see your character's details (Name, Global, Server, Zone, Origin, Archetype, Alignment, Level, XP, Inf, Primary, Secondary, APP/PPP, Bio), and export your current build into Mids' planner. You will also be able to list all of the badges you've earned by opening your personal info window. The badges and character data just won't be reported anywhere for tracking.

Quote:On further review:OK. Just wanted to be sure I didn't overlook it. Thanks for the info.
The temporary workaround that's in place right now will probably clear your supergroup info rather than updating it.
I like my supergroup page as much as anyone, so I promise we are looking into it. -
Yeah, whatever it was, sorry to hear you're moving to another server, Gemini.
-
You are correct. The Supergroup designations you currently see were previously added by Glycerine and/or HeroStats tracking characters. At the moment there isn't any way to manually add those. We'll see what we can do about that, but in the meantime your SG can still be added if you fire up HeroStats long enough to send an update to CIT. (At least, that should do the trick.)

Check to see if it's the True to the Last badge. (More info.)
We've been having some serious issues with the prerequisite logic that was put in place a while back since I18 introduced alignment switching. Upgrades are in work, but until we can roll those live, we have to do what we can to work around the prerequisite logic. -
Whew. I saw the subject line and thought, "Damn! Another one? Or two?"
Glad it's good news. -

Quote:Now, we don't hate BadgeHunter. (No, really, we actually specifically discussed the fact that we don't hate them in the meeting we had this past weekend.) That's not to say that we don't feel like maybe we have a certain sense of friendly competition. But that's what makes us want to keep improving the Titan sites rather than letting them just sit there and stagnate. This irks me. For years, there have been issues between CIT/Titan, and BH. Why not accept the fact that neither are going anywhere and be glad that there are options for the community?
Even when I was with Titan, I still tracked badges on BH. BH does some stuff better than CIT/Titan, and CIT/Titan does some things better than BH. Nobody likes a monopoly. Learn to accept friendly competition, and know that in the end, this is all done for the community. -
Quote:On the Account Overview stats, only ten entries are displayed under each set category. If you have 12 characters with 12 different primary sets, 2 won't show up.I've been playing around with it this morning, and on the main site it isn't tracking some of the villain secondaries. I've logged in a pain dom and a sonic resonance toon this morning, but in the 'account overview' stats, neither PD or SR is listed under the secondary tally. But if I go to the character's main page, it does show.
Its throwing me off a little bit because some secondary sets just aren't listing.
Edit - Its also not showing shield defense. May want to fix that so it keeps an accurate track.
Any chance that's why you don't see the Pain Domination and Shield Defense sets? -
Quote:I'm not signing anyone up for code I'm not responsible for.Dare I even imagine...could this eventually be expanded to include salvage?
Quote:so wait can you track same things(defeats, drops etc.) as herostats and export builds?
HeroStats doesn't have the Mids' export feature, Day Job calculator, and doesn't detect alignment or (I think) zone, but can detect all of the other things Sentinel can. (Exception: HeroStats relies on messages that appear in your chat tabs to track badges, so it still requires /settitle binds for tracking large numbers of badges. Sentinel will grab all of your badges in one shot if you open your personal info window.)
Sentinel was designed with a small footprint in mind, so it only tracks what can be recorded (or will soon be able to be recorded) on CIT to keep resource consumption to a minimum. HeroStats, on the other hand is more of a statistical analysis tool and is able to track a lot of additional things like prestige earned, enemies defeated, average damage output for each power, total damage output/hour per power, XP/hour, average power accuracy, number of times you've activated each power, recharge times, damage received per hour, etc. In order to do all of that, HeroStats requires a couple orders of magnitude more memory and a bit more processing power.
Long story short (too late):
Sentinel: compact, bare bones, very good for character tracking without eating system resources, not recommended for in-depth analysis of character performance, has the Export button
HeroStats: much bigger, detects/displays a much larger set of information, recommended for in-depth analysis, still needed if you want to track on BadgeHunter, probably not your best bet if you're only interested in tracking characters on CIT or concerned with resource consumption, no Export button -
Actually recording and displaying things like merits on CIT will have to be incorporated in to the CIT upgrades, but that's not a half bad idea.
Might not make the first set of changes to CIT, but it's certainly worth looking into. -
Awww.
And just when it looked like there might be a light at the end of the Base Builder Community tunnel.
I get it, though. You need more alone time with E-lizabeth. *wink wink*
Don't forget to visit on free reactivation weekends! Otherwise we're just going to complain about how you never call, you never write...
Take care, man. -
Quote:Well, there aren't actually any log files to look at. (HeroStats doesn't use log files either, by the way. And since Glycerine was built off of the HeroStats DLLs, it also didn't use log files.)Oh, so it's actually snooping in memory, not looking at log files?
Quote:As a secondary question: As a sop to us poor paranoids, is there any chance you could release the source code, so we can stare at it and convince ourselves that we trust it?
Quote:Please don't take this as implying that I have any reason to believe that you are trustworthy, but I have thus far, so far as I know, successfully avoided viruses and the like for twenty-some years, and one of my core tactics has been a level of habitual distrust which many people would regard as paranoia. (Well, at least, which many people say they regard as paranoia; it may be that they don't actually think that, but are saying it for malicious purposes not known to me.)
But from the development perspective, this wasn't an open-source project and a lot of time and effort has been spent on getting it working. It's understandable that a developer working on a project that like that doesn't wants someone else to come along, copy the code they slaved over, slap a new name on it, and call it their own work. -
Quote:Nope. Not mistaken.I know both are websites, but I was under the impression that BadgeHunter operated outside of the Titan Network, and Sentinel would not communicate with BadgeHunter. Am I mistaken? My apologies if I am.
HeroStats will continue to work for BadgeHunter since it also exists outside of the Titan Network (not that we don't occasionally work with HeroStats). No change there.
Sentinel, on the other hand, does not report badges to BadgeHunter. Glycerine didn't do that either, so that's not really a change. -
Won't be quite the same without ya, big guy. You and Rella take care of yourselves. And don't be afraid to drop in during a free reactivation weekend to say hi every now and again.

Furthermore: The ambushes all run single-file up the stairs to reach you at the top of the room. Those catwalks make wonderful choke points.
"Please take a number and wait your turn, sir. Now beating on number 263." -
Quote:I still think the return of the Cathedral of Pain trial was a perfect excuse for a new Rularuu Invasion event. I just barely missed out on that one when I started playing. Some of you people don't seem to understand that these events are not just for vets. One good example is the new player that posted saying they were going to enjoy the event as its new to them.
But I'm not complaining about a Rikti Invasion. Been a while since we've seen one of those in full-swing. -
Success!
Had a faceplant on the first attempt and took just under 3.5 hours to complete the badge-earning second attempt.
Congrats! -
Count me in with my Inv/SS again on Sunday.
