It would be really cool to see us start clicking like that.

Win, lose, draw, whatever, last night's raid was still fun. And it had that "new and exciting" flavor since we were trying something different. It was a really good try.

(Still trying to figure out how I got Hami-smacked with an EoE in effect when I tried to mass rez again, though. Must have been lag related or something.)

  3. Totally forgot about EoEs last night. Dur.

    I'll be there tomorrow, though.

  5. Seems sufficient to me.
  6. I was assuming he meant running the LRSF or STF. (Still easier for me to find time for a Hami raid.)

    Kickball!

Personally? Any night that isn't Saturday might be workable.

    (All times Eastern)

Su: varies, usually pretty open, times after about 5 pm and before 9 pm are easiest to schedule around if I have things like yard work to do that weekend and can't finish everything on Saturday
Mo: usually not the best night, but might be able to make it once in a while 8-9 pm
    Tu: 8-9 pm
    We: 8-9 pm
Th: might occasionally make it if it's 7-8 pm, MITF runs regularly scheduled to start at 8:30
F: 7-8 pm (if there's no Hami raid coming up that weekend, 7-9 pm)
Sa: very rarely somewhere between 2 and 5 pm - usually the day I try to get things like mowing the lawn and running errands done

9 pm weeknights is when my standing teammates usually start logging in to run content with our characters.

    Kickball!

I'm always busy on Saturdays. Otherwise I might have tried showing up if only because the PvP badges are leaving a gaping hole in my badge collection.

Only three of us (Sidhe Blade, Ultratroll, me) showed tonight, so at 9:00 we decided to declare the run a bust, watch some TV, and reconvene next week.

We also decided that since Turbo didn't show, his punishment will be to wear his shame for all to see. And what could be more shameful on Triumph than wearing Iron Pants?

And henceforth shall Turbo be known as The Man in the Iron Pants!

Don't worry Turbo, I know Klaus. He does really good work and he'll make sure they fit real snug.

    6th Anniversary!

Aw, but I'm taking the 27th off for my birthday, not the 28th. Poo. Missed it by one day.
  11. I'm still playing regularly with a little DDO on Saturdays. And I've been poking at Tales of Monkey Island and the season opener for Sam and Max off and on while I'm loading between zones.

If Arkham Asylum wouldn't keep locking up my graphics driver, I'd be playing a bit of that, too.
  12. Hmm. I do love me some hockey. And the last time I shaved City of Heroes hadn't been published. I may have to donate a little somethin' somethin'.

But you know I'm going to have to match whatever donation I give in the name of the Penguins over here. Just saying.

    Dopplegangers...

I'm having fun documenting the new contact pages. Holy dialogue trees! It took me about 6 or 7 hours to document just Field Agent Keith Nance.

On a side note, the ambient sounds they've added are pretty good. I was getting really angry with someone here in my neighborhood who kept honking their horn off and on for about five hours yesterday. It wasn't until I'd already gotten up and looked out the window for the culprit a couple of times and was about ready to go outside the hunt them down that I put two and two together. I finally realized I was only hearing the horn when I was standing next to Nance in Talos - and next to the street with the cars that now honk as they drive by you...

It's sort of interesting to fight against yourself in a mission, too.

  16. Man, that's a nice added feature. If we'd had that a while ago, we probably wouldn't have even needed to roll the version number on the channel.

(I mean, it would be nice...)

Just to make sure we're all on the same page:

Paragon Wiki started around February 2006 as a privately hosted site. (Note that this was about a year before I started working on the wiki, so I can't say for sure what the exact date was. I also can't say for certain, but my impression is that when TonyV created the site, he only intended it to be supplemental to the Paragon City Free Press and Paragon Maps sites that were already up and running.) During the summer of 2007, Wikia began to approach TonyV, offering to assume hosting of Paragon Wiki in their network of gaming wikis. There was much discussion among the admins and a healthy amount of correspondence between TonyV and Wikia's staff (including Jimmy Wales). The Paragon Wiki staff had a few concerns about how things over and Wikia worked and what that meant for the CoH/V community. Wikia made a lot of promises to address those concerns, and in August 2007, all content was moved from the old servers where Paragon Wiki had started out to Wikia's servers. The paragonwiki.com domain name was transferred over as well.

Fast forward to October 2008. Wikia's views on how advertising should be handled on all of their sites had become very unpopular with the communities on more than a few of their sites, and when Wikia rolled out their new advertising business model (which included randomly embedding ads in the middle of or in the "See Also" sections of articles), several of their communities made the decision to leave. The Paragon Wiki staff decided that it was no longer in the best interests of the CoH/V community to remain with Wikia and left. Paragon Wiki kept the site name, logos, and paragonwiki.com domain name in the move, transferring to the location where they are presently hosted side by side with most of the rest of the Titan Network. Wikia changed the name of their site to the City of Heroes Wiki, changed the logos to avoid confusion, assigned a couple of people administration duties, and continued on their way.

While it is terribly unfortunate that Wikia's version of the wiki has not been kept up to date, under the GNU Free Documentation License, they are well within their rights to keep their archived copy of wiki content up and running. (Technically, anyone who wanted to copy all of the content from either of the sites and start their own wiki would also be well within their rights as laid out in the GNU FDL. That's just the way the license works.)

OK. Now that I've cleared all of that up, I'll let you get back to the discussion.

(Almost makes me wonder if we shouldn't make a History of Paragon Wiki page...)

    Facebook

Twitter? Isn't that like the microtransaction version of social networking?

Man, all you socially oriented people...

I already feel like I have about 125 too many people in my friends list on Facebook. I mean, I like you guys and all, but I kinda like being able to hide from everyone now and again.

(Cath can tell you how hard it is just to get me to join a Skype call. )

    So close!

Got all the way to Rommie and I had a tidal wave of Cimerorans wash over me. If you blinked, you'd have missed the transition from full to dead.

Total of 3 deaths with a time of 1:34:32.

    (At least I don't have any survivor's guilt. )
  23. Holy snot. Batz is slackin'!

    (And I'm totally jealous.)
