  1. I was making a now character and realized that there were no pattern option for capes to allow the secondary color to simply edge/trim/outline a cape without further effects. I was trying to match the effect I managed with the High Collar on the cape as well. There are patterns that do this along with other parts (like the Circles pattern,) so in theory this would not require too much work to implement.

I know that in addition to this character, I could easily see it being used on a cape along with some of the light-lined Retro SciFi pieces.

    Thank you for your time.
  2. I believe I've found the right place. Sorry to waste anyone's time.

    Thank you.
  3. That's assuming, Tocharon, that the character won't be a bit of shallow mancandy.
  4. I really enjoy my Ice/Titan Tanker. I admit that it was a little rough until I picked up a decent attack chain. It became really nasty once I grabbed Energy Absorption. Now I'm running around cackling as I encounter large groups to mow down while stealing their Endurance to further fuel my rampage. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I don't mind the momentum mechanic, especially since I'm a notable aggro-magnet and have a couple nice auras. Sometimes when soloing, I'll just stop and watch the last couple of enemies start to flee, then get drawn back in, slowed and damaged, and sent briefly fleeing again until they drop. It amuses me.

With good endurance management- your own or a teammate's assistance, you can throw out ludicrously good damage. An SG mate took a Titan/Will Brute through Ray Cooling's arc solo and dropped the Kronos Titan in less than two minutes, for example. That character struggled early on and nearly was deleted, but the player held off until a few key powers became available.

tl;dr- it's a late bloomer and takes a few adjustments, but for those who get the hang of it, it can be a very fun and effective set.
  5. As a fairly new player, I'm finding it hilarious for a different reason.

    To each their own!
  6. Zwillinemesis taunted Pinn last night sa well, eventually dropping a dozen GMs on us in Atlas at once. Houtex's Brawling Humiliator tanked 'em all and dropped the canned hams. It was glorious to watch him hit the Brass Bombast in the bearings.

I read that as 'Low Rider' at first.

Then I imagined Des rolling up in one, with the demonlings in tow. "Hop in and hold on!" You know, if they offered that in the market, more people might play Praetorians.
I imagined Praetorian Hamidon in the lowrider, personally. Bass booming, of course.

Maelstrom teleports in, cuts himself while muttering about an invading monster, then teleports you to the mission door.

Otherwisse you hear Mother's voice in your heads reminding you to buckle up while a Seer in a station wagon beams in.

To me anything else is just straight up trolling/looking for a fight/disrespecting the AT and those that use it as designed.
Thank you for clarifying your rationale at least. I fear that I doubt we will be able to have productive discourse on this matter, though.

Feel free to disregard the following, though as I'm going to place a comment down here that I know you'd not enjoy. However, I don't wish to double-post.

I personally like the idea of shifting the KB to KU. It's less problematic for most people and satisfying to hit someone and send them skyward. IMO, it gives the impression of hitting hard with energy-enhanced strikes and gives a distinct difference from Warshades. Shades bind enemies, PBs kindly offer to help them reach for the stars...

Well, I went back and checked and saw nothing regarding discussion of altering KB as verboten Perhaps I need glasses...

At any rate, I gave a few ideas that I'd had and some reasoning why I thought that they would be of use. Of course, I managed the last post of the page, so that undoubtedly added to my lack of reputation in leaving them unremarked upon. Nonetheless, it's quite interesting seeing other people's ideas. I'm still leveling my first Peacebringer, so I was trying to leave most discussion for others who are more experienced with the AT.

By all means, please resume your detailed discussion and brainstorming.

Cheers! This has prompted me to finally get Not a Nemesis Agnet (AR/Time Corr) to earn Moral High Ground and immigrate to Primal Earth for the festivities.
  11. As a new player who's been getting the hang of a PB that just hit 35, here are my uninformed suggestions.

    1. Has anyone mentioned toggle suppression yet?

    2. Turn KB to KU. No chasing everywhere, Always fun to bounce people off the ceiling, and the polar opposite of slows and holds in a Warshade.

3 Pulsar needs something. Increasing the disorient would be nice, but how about a -range effect as enemies are blinded? It's a rare effect and would be a perfect setup for scrapping it out, hoverNova, or before going dwarf.
  12. I soloed it at default difficulty on my Elec/Dev Blaster without dropping once on the solo route. I hovered and sapped to make life bearable. It wasn't fast, admittedly. I haven't ran anyone else through it, however.
  13. It looks nice ,but I hope that we don't lose Celestial (or Fire and Ice for whatever follows Mecha) prior to resolving the token distribution problems...

Fascinating. I don't recall encountering the Drudges or Night Ward at all inside Dark Astoria. Perhaps you'd care to tell me where, within the context of this thread's subject, those appear?

The Mr G arc has you discovering that the Maelstrom Device comes from Neuron Labs. Of course with Neuron involved, that doesn't mean much, but in theory that tech is Praetorian.

I'm sorry that your thread went haywire, Sam. If you need, I can read off the dialogue to you ingame. Phaetan has ran all the trials now.

Personally I often solve various site issues switching between Firefox and Opera.
I tried Firefox, IE, Chrome, and Opera.

Besides Sam and Father Xmas, I would like to thank someone on Exalted who tried to help me back in October with this problem. I regrettably have forgotten their name, though. Sorry.
  17. As someone already mentioned, Stalkers will have a harder time here, because ambushes are a way of life. (A running joke with my SO is that an ambush is the traditional Praetorian greeting.) They will see through your stealth and make a beeline to you. With friends in tow.
My Loyalist Tanker had a very rough time until he picked up his energy armor, thanks to Resistance and rogue Clockwork attacks.
My Resistance Plant/Fire Dom had few troubles at all, really. Only fun was when new ambushes would be added before I killed off the old group and ended up with more than my target caps onscreen.

My short answer would be a Brute or Mastermind. Something that can solo well and handle crowds.
  18. testing

Well, now. Thank you for the early/late gift, Father Xmas.

I would argue that if it was a normal robot that was enhanced through deliberate experimentation or an accident to capabilities beyond its design, it could be Science Origin. Sadly, the only example that leaps to mind is Johnny Five from "Short Circuit." Please don't hold that against me.
  20. since the bug section specifies that it''s not for forum issues I've been trying to get help with my inability to log into the forums for nearly half a year without any reply. This is y second successful login in that time. Normally I log in, get the confirmation screen, and then am redirected to the prior page. I am not logged in there, and my account history shows no activity, although my name is listed at the bottom of the page as viewing the page. I've had this happen with multiple computers, multiple OS platforms, and multiple browsers. I just want to be able to use the forums. And for the record since I know there will be a question on the matter, yes, I'm VIP.

    Thanks for listening.
  21. A quick post before I lose forum access again for several months due to an unknown issue:
Demon summoning doesn't have to be magic. It can be hard light holograms as listed, teleporting in genetically engineered beings, a racial ability for a nonhuman character, or an odd mutant ability to shape the ambient surroundings into servants that you simply shape like demons because you love seeing exorcists waste their efforts.
