Quote:Akbar-senses tingling!Pft. Get a second computer/laptop and convince her to play as well. Trust me, it makes a two person team go much smoother when you can just look across the room and ask "Who do we go for first?" rather than taking the time to type it in.
You were wanting more people in your personal SG, right?
(In all seriousness, it would be fun and solve the compfights.) -
They could also make a Blaster ATO set that has +ToHit, either in the special piece or set bonus to make it easier for blasters to reach the magic number.
My blaster is /Dev, so I should be in good shape as long as I'm not facing Circle, PPD, or Black Swan, but other could use the help, either from adjusting the Leadership scales or what I suggested. -
Your origin has some, but not a huge effect on your game. It changes which Dual- and Single-Origin Enhancements you can use (which don't differ in effect based on origin,) you get a weak ranged attack to begin that is chosen by origin (Trick Arrow players who don't have any other source of fire or energy-typed damage often go Magic or Natural because aforementioned powers provide that,) the titles available at level 25 reflect your origin, and the NPCs who match your origin will have differing text during the "Origin of Power" storyline.
Oh, and what you take from Trapdoor in Mender Ramiel's arc will depend on your origin, but that's way down the line (level 50.) -
Quote:Interestingly, I quite enjoyed the Twinshot arc and the Graves' one at least had the hilarious "Oh no! You've been mindwiped too!" scene. The Hollows, on the other hand, is some of the BEST low level content in the game. Why would you direct people away from it?
The Hollows, on the other hand, I can't stand and avoid like the plague after my first time through.
I think this just proves that everyone has different tastes and new people should explore around and see what suits them. -
It's also the set for the best asbestos-themed horror movie ever filmed that was not directly funded by the EPA.

Thanks for the update. Honestly, I'm looking forward more to this fix than the Magi trial patch...

It's all Kem's fault, I'm sure.

I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but wanted to chime in a little.
I would also suggest dropping Tough. And possibly weave. You could always go the leadership route instead for Maneuvers, freeing up the power pick taken by Boxing.
And for this, I would have to disagree. Since Distortion Field is autohit, the accuracy is not important I'd go with Basi's Recharge/Hold, Endurance/Recharge/Hold, Accuracy/Endurance/Recharge/Hold, and Chance for Recharge Slow. And if I could suggest, the extra slot from Tough in here, adding the Lockdown Chance for Hold in this power is not a bad choice in my opinion. -
Drat. And was curious to see how mine looked in the lineup...

Good luck, Winter- hope to see you around. But in the interim, Billy's been doing an acceptable job, I guess.

Quote:If the game is so terrible, why be here at all?or why not all move your pvp toons to freedom where all the active(lol) pvp is happening in this bad game.
If you were actually wanting PVP to become more active (potentially leading to more people calling for fixes,) in theory you'd want to encourage casual PVPers and/or PVE players to poke around at it on their own terms and get their feet wet. If all you were wanting were some short term easy kills for recipe drops or ego-buffing at the cost of driving away potential new PVPers, on the other hand, well... -
I'm finding this conversation pretty intriguing, since I have a young Ill/Dark Controller. I'm fairly new to the game and only have two controllers so far, but I'm loving this combo so far and hadn't seen anyone else's discussion of it yet.
My apologies for the slightly divergent post. Please return to the discussion of the high-end performance discussions. -
Yes, I've DCed multiple times in it. Using any of the AoE attacks make my ping skyrocket, apparently the longer the animation and the stronger the attack, the bigger the ping increase. It could be done punching them out one by one probably. I think I'll just wait until they fix the mission, though. That's a lot of spiders...

I just wanted to say thank you for changing the Team Transporter icon.

Servers are coming back up. Freedom, Union, Vigilance, and Virtue as of now.
EDIT: Server status page didn't list Pinnacle as up, but I'm in, so check your home servers... -

And Hellions asking Girlfriends From Hell to get them a beer...

Welcome back. I'm one of those pesky new players that snuck in while you weren't around A few notes on changes you may wish to know.
Enhancement Boosters- these can be used to increase the values of a crafted IO by 5% per boost and you can stack five on a piece. This would, for example, turn a +20% enhancement into a +25% without using another slot or changing the level it could be used at. This makes saving a slot here or there possible, which is always useful for a Kheld.
ATOs- Archetype Origin Enhancements are new pieces that are AT specific. The EATs share one apiece, with the Peacebringers and Warshades both using Grace of the Kheldian sets. They are attuned, which means it automatically adjusts the values according to your current level- i.e. at 10 it acts like a lvl 10 IO, at 50 a lvl 50 IO. Handy for someone who exemps a lot or during the leveling up since they're useful from 10 onward. The special piece in the set gives a small, different boost to each of a Kheld's forms. The set bonuses are nice and the enhancement values are roughly in a good orange set unless you catalyze them.
What are Enhancement Catalysts? These turn the aforementioned ATO pieces into purple-equivalents. Better numbers, both enhancement and set bonus, but they become account bound and follow the other normal purple rules.
And finally, the one that is likely responsible for a look of consternation when you poke at the auction houses next, Enhancement Converters. They've had a...noticeable...effect on prices. One used on a crafted noncommon IO or ATO will reroll it as a different piece, maintaining level and rarity. Two used on a piece at once will reroll it within its general category (melee, defense debuff, PBAoE) while keeping rarity and level. Three used on a piece at once will reroll it within its own set, keeping the level, but rarity can change. (Handy for short sets with one really good piece or to try and fill out a set when you have multiple copies of one piece and none of the rest.)
Hopefully that is enough to get you started, and if I've made an error, I'm sure the more experienced people will correct me in short order.
Oh, one more thing- we may be getting the delay in Kheld form changes removed Very Soon™. -
I was going to chip in with my personal experience, but as it turns out, Texas Justice beat me to it...
Yes, check to see if there's a web accelerator running that you might not even know is there. It took me months to finally find the solution and I'd hope you don't have to wait that long.
What's your ISP, to start with?
And best of luck. -
Sadly, I have to agree. Nemesis may be my favorite NPC in this game, and I hoped that there was going to be some further elaboration on this event with a Phase Two that would indicate some higher plan, like maybe an event-based tip that sometimes would drop while fighting the invasions that gave you a mission to foil- one he was working completing on while his distractions were supposed to keep everyone busy. Or even having participation in an event make Nemesis Automatons of the given enemy group spawn in you missions for a while ala the Kheldian Khooties mechanic.
The old canned ham really phoned this one in, and I'm saddened by that.
