I'm expecting that it'll have some tradeoffs.
Like being somewhat short-range, but getting lower end costs and/or recharge. Sort of the "Claws" to other sets "Broadsword". Both sets are good in thier own way, but for different reasons. -

I can tell you right now, just from *regular* email experience, that the second you block the entire name, it's going to get changed. www. infspammer. com is not the same. Block infspammer? 1nfspammer. i n f s pa a m m e r. in fs pa mm er. And if you finally manage to blow all that time and money setting up and testing the blocks for all the permutations of that - I spend five bucks and get buymyinf.com, and you get to start all over again. A blacklist is just more work for less gain. After all, years after the huge push from overseas, I still get the occasional creative spelling of "viagra" showing up in my own (whitelisted) junk mail filter.

The RMT spam email I've been getting has already been using creative use of extra spaces in the websitename. Even though I don't think we have added a keyword filter yet. -
How big would you want it to be, and how much would you want it to do?
Can you be a bit more specific?
Just decoratve or actual vendors/etc.?
Here's an idea:
Ever play redside and do the "Rob the casino" mission from the newspaper? Uses a very small map, not much bigger than the DO/SO stores blueside.
Perhaps a few of the storefront doors on the normal city maps could open up to things like this.
When Faultline was revamped, I would have been interested in entering some of the buildings in there.
Or perhaps a bowling alley map, accessed by the bowling alley fronts in Steel Canyon. -

I sometimes play characters that have trouble with certain EB's. So what I end up doing is simply switch over to another arc, get a level and come back.
Your suggestion would kill this.

How about if the bar was accessible to both red and blue side, but no combat, just a place to hang out.
We could hold events there like a Winter event, a Valentines event, etc.
We could call it Pocket D, and on certain servers, it would be quite busy.

It's rare that I find a Primary and Secondary that have 9 really good poers each.
That Elec/Dev blaster for example: I'd skip Time Bomb, and probably more.
You can build within whatever parameters you want, but everything I've played recently has had skippables within the Primary/Secondary.
Brutes/Scrappers: I usually don't need the ST taunt, and find self-rezzes pretty useless (other than RotP, you get killed during the power animation by the foes camping your corpse).
I have little use for builds that ignore large chunks of either thier Primary or Secondary (Examples: Defenders that ignore thier Secondary, Corruptors that ignore thier Primary, most Petless MM's, etc), but I've never felt a sense of loss for skipping Fire Armor: Temperature Protection or Electric Melee: Thunder Clap. -

Good luck. Apparently, they're in some sort of order than makes sense to Positron. What I'd rather have is a toggle similar to the show/hide recipes you don't have the ingredients for.

I was struck by the fact that people tend to request teams in broadcast while inside the AE. I mean, these folks are standing 20 feet away from each other and spamming broadcast. I think that the broadcast channel should not be selectable for sending when you're inside an AE building. Local works just fine and would have the benefit of reducing the annoyance factor for folks outside AE.
Of course, if this was done, people would probably start spamming the Request channel instead of Local. *grumble*

I've taken to avoiding anything that is (Unique Map)+(Custom Critters, especially within a tight level range)+(only one mission in the arc).
100% definative of "Farm"? No, but it's just something I've been avoiding. -

It occurs to me that if the 5th Column were to try to make a comeback, they might want to build some armored vehicles (in addition to the MekMen and Valkyrie robots). Would be sweet to see an invading tank column rolling through the streets of Paragon City, supported by an infantry unit escort.

And I have seen plenty of teams sit around wasting time trying to pad the team size up to the maximum when they had a decent AT balance already.
Of course, with the right players, two can be a pretty effective team.
This idea would exacerbate the "waiting for more" problem. -

There's already useful stuff in there. A Vault, Inspiration sales at the bartenders, last I heard, and I think they upgraded War Witch to a trainer.
But no, the OP was talking about making the AE work like a Clone of Pocket D, not to actually put in into Pocket D.
So you could, say, enter the St. M AE building and team with folks inside the Cap Au Diable AE? And not have AE's LFT spam mixed with regular zone broadcast. -
I thought of an AT idea a while back (only got 75%-ish done, so never posted it) that would have Melee-type Defences, but a mix of ranged and melee attacks.
The attempt to balance it was:
1) It wouldn't have very high HP.
2) The Melee attacks would be mostly Smashing/Lethal, while the Ranged attacks would have a mostly Energy component and..........
3) All of the Defensive toggles would have a Self DeBuff to outgoing Energy Damage. So to do good ranged damage you would have to turn off your toggles. With toggles having an activation time, you couldn't just shoot and instantly be at full defences. -

[/ QUOTE ]You can combine Non-IO enhancements rather than delete them, but you already knew that.
From the Dev's attitude that giving us the ability to pull (up to ten) enhancements out of a build during a respec and sell them was being "rather generous", I wouldn't expect this ability to ever see the light of day.
That being said, I'd be willing to do a lesser (easier, soloable) version of the respec trials to get a "Mini-Respec", where you can swap around enhancements completely (as per a regular respec), but cannot switch out any powers.
My idea for the mini-respec arc blue-sidewould be for a story arc (all timed missions) where you have to get the Shield Generators running before a seperate hero team goes into the reactor to fight the SkyRaiders/Freakshow/etc. and rescue a few of the reactor technicians. It would tie into the trial's story concept, but represent a lesser role and a lesser amount of radiation exposure, which would be the reason why your powers were not altered quite as much as the main team. -

This makes the assumption that SG's are meant to be run democratically, when in reality with the implementation of the super leader it's more easily a dictatorship. The only difference is the players still have the right of choice(EDIT: in terms of being able to stay or leave the group). A smart leader would probably wield their given power to satisfy the majority, but that's still up to the leader to make those kinds of decisions at this point. For the devs to enforce such rules would take a little away from the freedom of the players to form and run their groups how they see fit.

I'll admit that my idea wasn't thought out in much detail. If the Super-Leader really wanted the name change to be without SG review, he could demote the tier 5's (other than his alts, if any) into the tier 1-4 catagory and set the voting permissions at "Tier 5 only". Truly a jerk move, but within the boundries of the setup.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm pretty agreeable, and I could go with this. However, I can think of at least one older SG (consists of my buddy, myself, and three of his other friends/family) who would like this very much.
So hopefully one token per newly-formed SG (have it only appear in the Super-Leader's pocket after the SG has been open for a while? Or right away?), and one handed out to each existing SG.
Also, a poster named "Skullhead" (might have renamed or might not be around anymore) used to campiagn for SG Renames, as he was unsatisfied with his, and wished to be able to change it without re-forming and losing all that prestige and of course, the base. If he's still around, he'll hopefully swing by here. -
