I'm now not going to delete all the spam i got on this toon and see how much ill get in about a month.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'm rather curious what the upper limit is for how many your inbox can hold.
Be sure to spend a lot of time in a starting zone without hiding from /search just to be on as many RMTmail 'mailing list's as possible.

Yes, I'm still in favor of a reciever-side filter that would prevent me from recieving Email from people that are not on MY friends list, in my SG or G-friended with me. But that's a dead horse for another day.

He can't be a genie, he's not NEON BLUE!

    Duh....

    [/ QUOTE ]
But a Jeanie doesn't have to be blue.
She can wear pink if she wants.
  3. For some reason I just feel.....summoned.
    Ever get that feeling?

((Anyway... The oldest just turned three and is the inspiration for the Brute "Terrible Two" if you see him around the Isles, and the youngest turns 1-month tomorrow.))

    Australians

    Last I heard: Justice.

But they have a fairly high population overall, being roughly at #3-#5 at most times.
With Freedom at #1 and Virtue at #2.

I'd actually recommend Justice over those other two for someone wanting a high population server, because during events, they can get so full that you can't get in.

One thing I will say, though, is that playing a Rikti character would probably work best in a system similar to the Arachnos Soldiers, with the branching structure to choosing how you level and what you become in the end.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I wrote something like that up once, where you would branch into Chief Soldier, Gunman, Chief Mentalist, Communication Officer (basicly MM) or Guardian.
In order to have both ranged and melee attacks on certain ones though, I would have the Soldier's defensive toggles give a self-DeBuff to Energy damage attacks. Choose to be a ranged combatant: give up your defenses for a bit. Choose to be a harder target: do quite a bit less damage at range.
  6. [ QUOTE ]

Make sure to not allow a hero to take out infamy and vice versa, I'm not sure if their was specific salvage to redside or blue side but even so it'd have no use in one side or the other even if you could take it out, since they designed all the recipes accordingly to the sides I think right?

[/ QUOTE ] Invention Salvage, Recipes (and the crafted enhancements from those are the same for both sides, just in different amounts of Supply/Demand. Example: Can barely move a Snipe recipe on the BM if I price it at 5 Inf. Same thing with low-level Pet Damage recipes blue-side at WW.

The base salvage which used to drop only while playing in SG mode was specific to the faction you were fighting, but that doesn't drop anymore, now that base items are crafted from Invention Salvage instead.
And since some foes are side-specific, such as Luddites, Redcaps (outside of certain events) and Goldbrickers, the resulting Base salvage would be hard to find on WW or the BM, depending.
    But I digress.

Yes, this idea has been tossed around before, so I'll point out a few things.
    1) There's no real need for it. You've given us that it would be a handy QoL thing, and I agree. But any character can be monetarily self-sufficient in a post-I9 CoX.
    2) It's not like we can't already share wealth between characters already.
    We can:
Transfer from same-faction alts using the Market (safe if you're careful, costs a service fee).
Transfer from same-faction/Same server alts using other players. (trustworthy ones are pretty common)
Transfer from same-server-same SG alts using the enhancement bins in the base.
Transfer cross-server/cross-faction through arrangements made with other players, usually for a fee, available here on the forums.
    3) The accomplishments of one hero are for the most part creditted to that hero, not the beginner that he hangs out with. (Where Inf=Reputaion) And villains don't share. (Where Inf=Money)
    4) If you could safely transfer Inf between characters, what size of transfer fee would be acceptible to you? 10%? 25%?
    5) Most L50's can earn a million an hour, with some able to double that. See Catwhoorg's Hour Challenge, if it's still up. What would you do to enhancement costs at that point? Might as well make them free.

At the risk of sounding apathetic, I rate this a "meh".
    *shrug*
  7. I go random roll, and get a mix of good/bad, depending on which pool I go for.

It really helps though, to have a bunch of alts in an SG, so that the roll results can be used by either one of my alts or a SGmate.
  8. I use Interupt Reduction in Aid Self and that's it.
I never bother putting it in Rest or a snipe power.

What I've been wondering is if any Defenders ever slot thier buffs for Range. (Force Field's Teammate bubbles, Empathy's single-target teammate heals, Kinetics' Teammate buffs, etc.)
Many powers have attributes that can be enhanced, but aren't worth enhancing.
You generally don't hear of Scrappers putting Def DeBuff Enhancers in thier attack powers, even though a couple Scrapper sets would allow that (Broadsword, Claws, Etc.). Instead, Acc/Dam/EndRed/Rech is the way to go, generally. Well, not counting oddball attacks like Follow-Up, Parry, etc.
  9. [ QUOTE ]

I would like to throw out some minor ideas I've talked about with other people. Wind/Water based ranged powers.....

I believe that Energy Blast was originally intented to be a Water-Blast, (Blue-white, knockback effects) but was changed in Beta.

    Scrub Leaches

    [ QUOTE ]

My question: When scrubs ask to pay me for sitting in my missions, should I take the heroic approach and say "Go away, scrub!" OR do I take the villainous approach and try to price gouge him?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Or you could take the "I'm sick of incompetent freshly-minted L50's messing up my PuG's" approach.

    Blue-Side Leech: PL Meh?
Quizmaster: Sure. Just answer two out of three of the following question's correctly...
    Leech: Wut?
    Q: Who did Manticore marry?
Q: Where are the Lost in KR?
Q: Which Zone features Serafina, Manticore, Swan and the entrance to Crey's Folley?
  11. [ QUOTE ]
That stupid power-leveling store that dosent stop telling you,or messaging you through e-mail is driving me up the wall, into a spin, and out-of-control!

    [/ QUOTE ]
While one of them does seem to be the most common, I recieve spam from at least 4 of them. (although one or two seem to be offshoots of the main.)

    [ QUOTE ]

    I have a few ideas...

1)Lets say that after 100 days of not playing an alt,or even one single day,you are swamped by Power-leveling store advertisement messages. If I were these power-leveling store pests,I would be upset if I sent someone advertisements totalling 500 e-mails,and all could be gone if there were a,shall we say a "Delete All" option? It could also be used for other pests who like to plague you as you play the game.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I could go for a "Delete All", but would prefer a reciever-side filter, as frequently mentioned on these boards.

    [ QUOTE ]

2)I have another idea. What if there was a system worked out where your e-mail could deny an e-mail totally if certain words were typed into a registry list, like the names of the stores which advertise their power-leveling,or even the numbered price which comes with them.Ignore lists get full, and those snake-in-the-grass merchants just come back, even stronger.

    [/ QUOTE ]
A filter like that would be worked around rather quickly. They're already using alternate spellings and spacings, for example.
    [ QUOTE ]

4)I do understand that people still do use e-mail to say hello to their friends and such, but most of the e-mail option is being used by those crooked stores I mentioned in Idea #1
You could shut off e-mail all together by adding an option to disable it until you turn it back on again.

[/ QUOTE ] Filter, rather than shut off. See: Search: Re: Email Filter.
  12. Some of the farming missions tend to disappear after a while.
Now, if Posi's warning is actaully being carried out, that means that the missions were reported, the GM's looked at the mission and locked it out.
And if so, then one of that player's three mission slots has been locked out as well.
If there is a finite number of farmers, then this will clear up, particularly if a player with two to three locked out mission slots is actually banned from playing arcs as well, but I no idea if this is the case.
  13. Just build a large enough control items to feed your current (and near future needs). You can always sell/swap later for full Prestige cost.
Luckily, used base items don't depreciate over time.
  14. Arcane Control item.

High cost, high amount of control generated. My link to Paragonwiki explains it.

    Low 40s Scrapper?

Run a lap around Brickstown and arrest all the grey Crey. Piece of cake, dude

    [/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I ran around Founder's and arrested grey Crey there. P.I. (or the RWZ) would have been level appropriate, but they are only a small portion of those zones' population, IIRC.
(Should have checked Eden, I suppose, since the contact may have mentioned it.)
Still, anything over twenty-five is a bit much for a hunt mission.

Too bad the AE doesn't allow street-sweeping outdoors as mission options. I could do a send-up of Coh contacts.
    1) Hunt 100 Hellions, any zone except Perez.
    2) Go to P.I. and hunt 250 Carnies.
    3) Door mission in Perez, mid-maze or in Faultline, somewhere in a tunnel (mission marker to show 35 yards under a solid concrete slab)
    4) Deliver my dry-cleaning to Azuria. (add Malta Ambush here)
    5) Hunt 25 Contaminated in RV. (after this mission, you get contact's cell phone)
    6) Hunt 100 DE in Founder's. Arc completed.
  17. I just went back to blueside and a few things struck me.

My new alt: Ran nothing but starting contact's missions until they ran out, and zero Merits. I could have sworn that Kalinda and Burke at least gave one or two merits. A quick trip to Paragonwiki shows me that the blueside contact is arranged as a loose sack of random missions, while Burke's missions are a story arc.

My low-forties Scrapper: Hunt 100 Crey mission. Seriously, ONE HUNDRED? What the.... I don't think that hunt missions should ever be more than 25.

    missing merits

I have a few silly questions, but just to verify:
    1) You checked your salvage tray, under "Special" or "All", and they weren't there.
    2) You participated in all of the TF missions, and did not log out after joining, just to log in right before completion. You were inside the mission maps during the combats, not out street-sweeping some other zone, visiting Icon, or some other activity?

You did get the badge for it, so there is proof that you actually did the TF. Relax and please quit assuming that nothing is being done, just because you cannot see the results yet. They will have to check the logs to verify the merit (no pun intended) of your claims, right after every other petition that is sent. It should be taken care of before Wednesday. In the meantime, check your (out-of-game) Email (the one your account is attached to) to see if you have any messages there.
It would surprise me that a 7-days-a-week operation like a MMO would have fewer employees on hand on a weekend, but they just might. In which case, they might be reviewing a stack of weekend petitions today. Hopefully, after Server Maint, you will find a shiny new stack of merits on your character.

    Also:
    A) The statement that the powers-that-be in this game are lazy is false.
    b) I hope that everything works out for you. Good Luck.

    Soda.
    Orange juice.
    Clamato.
Macaroni and Cheese. (Heck, I've made it with beer instead of milk)

    Magic Origin

I always see Magic, Tech and Mutant as the most popular three, and Science/Natural as the less popular. (Not counting those AT's that can't choose)

Natural: Seems to be a bit limiting at first glance.
Science: Sadly, I'd suspect that a lot of characters that should be Science origin have been rolled as other origins, mostly Tech and Mutant.

I remember a thread in the Virtue forums, a while back, where a poster challenged folks to come up with an Origin and any two powersets to match in a way that would make sence.
And several pages deep, he/she made up quickie bios that made sense for every combination given.
