Well, I almost spelled it Post-Kount Padders, but I thought it would be too obvious.

You're not a gibberish-talker though. I use that classification for those that appear to type by smashing a dead squirrel against the keyboard. Yours are much easier to read. Attention-Hound-ish at times, perhaps, but readable.

Perfect Pain is one of our more interesting posters.
Also, I just found out that you cannot add reputation to the same post twice, and used the "add a comment" box to see what it would do. Not much as far as I can tell.
Added Rep to someone posting from a state with a governor "T.K.". and will use my first emoticon since the last forums.
Probably right about there--------->
3. Oooh! I just got "You must spread a little reputation before giving it to $name again."!
Interesting.
I think I like this Reputation thing.....for now.
4. Mousing over the posters above me, I see:
$name is on a distinguished road.
$name is an unknown quantity at this point.
$name will become famous soon enough.
$name has disabled reputation.
$name has a little shameless behavior in the past.
Interesting. I'll keep mine on for now and see how it goes for me, and for some of our more interesting posters.
Like the Attention-hounds, the gibberish-talkers, the post-count padders, the trolls, and the nice & helpful posters.
5. I would prefer that the two sections be seperate, but if I have to start a new thread, I'll use something like "Market: <Thread Title Here>" if I need to specify.
If the thread title I come up with in relation to the topic doesn't need the preface in order to specify, then I won't.
6. We do have a Mayor Morales. (or had in 2004-ish. Might not still be in office? )

http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Paragon_Times/20041013

CoH timeline includes mentions of Mayor "Spanky" Rabinowitz (the most infamous mayor, in the 1920's)
Mayor Legretsky (1950's, Citizen's Crime Fighting Act, Authority Badge)

And some of the Blue-side arcs mention a generic "The Mayor..." (Contacts Janet Keller and Anton Samson)

Even if the "No more than one of each identical enhancement in a particular power" rule is carried from Set IO's to Multi-Generic IO's, it shouldn't detract much from the usability.
For 6-slotted Parry:
Acc/Def/Rech, Acc/Def/EndRed, Acc/Def, Acc/Rech, Def/End, should provide pretty decent enhancement values and still leave one slot available for a Proc (snagged from an existing set of your choosing) thrown in for giggles.

I guess that flagging them as "no more than one of each per build" would probably be way too strict.
8. I like this idea. It would allow for custom slotting for oddball powers like Parry (Acc/Def/Rech/EndRed) and Follow Up (Acc/ToHit/Rech/EndRed), essentially creating custom Sets, just without set bonuses.

Edit: The only problem I see is that it might be *too* good. I can see powers six-slotted with three-way L50 generics pretty quick. Granted, there would be the lack of set bonuses, but the generics don't require very expensive salvage.
If they rate as "Too overpowered", they could be flagged as uniques, (only one of each multi-generic per build) or at least, unique within a power (just like regular Set IO's are currently)
The powers I mentioned above would still be able to get four three-way enhancements and any of six possible two-way enhancements.

I can see using these multi generics enhancements to flesh out partial Set IO sets, much like Franken-slotting currently.

I'd like to remind everyone that essentially, we're already involved in a gambling game. The moment you defeat an NPC, but don't know exactly what l00t they'll drop, that's already a gamble.

[/ QUOTE ]

And how much Inf are you betting? How much Inf do you stand to lose if you fail to defeat that NPC?

Sorry you can't call it gambling if there is no risk involved. You can't even count debt as a risk because they don't take exp away from you. You can't lose a fight and then have to earn that level all over again.

[/ QUOTE ]
Is debt even really much of a penalty? If you're broke, it's an oppurtunity to earn normal $Inf and drop rate and have double the time before you outlevel your non-IO enhancements.

Since I'm in a good mood, rather than debate "No to Botting!", I would agree to allowing up to Two Auto-firing powers, so long as niether of them require a target. Hasten + Practiced Brawler, yes. Practiced Brawler + Rage, okay.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's 100% not fair to SS/WP brutes who use hasten! How am I supposed to keep Rage, Hasten, AND Strength of Will active if I can only auto two powers?!

And I think it's only fair that we get FOUR choices, so I can put footstomp on auto, too. After all, it doesn't require a target. Unless you expect me to CLICK my powers when they're recharged?! That would be ridiculous! I shouldn't have to click powers I want to use as soon as they recharge...

[/ QUOTE ]

Or you could just drop Hasten. Your endurance bar will thank you.

Also: I said not requiring a target. I should have said "...as long as none are attacks."

But that's what I get for feeling generous. Now settle down or I'll turn this thread around!
12. Congratulations!

You will now be treated by Black, Brownish-Green, Yellow and Green!
And Rust.

Has AE KOed CoX?

It surprises me that Cap and AP are the two big spots for the AE Farmers.
Talos or Steel Canyon strike me as being the counterparts to Cap, not AP.
And Mercy is CoV's counterpoint to GC and AP, and has an AE building, yet it's quiet.

Yes PUT ME IN CHARGE OF ALL FARMING tickets...

That would be epic.

That it would be.
Might as well choose someone who knows something about the topic, and has an opinion.

I see the outsize backlash against MA as a good thing, since it means it is drawing in far more players than any of the previous holders of the prestigious title Cancer that is Killing the Game.

Now I want that as a badge title. I'd wear it.

When my daughter was less than a year old, she had an "explosive event" while I was watching her. It was bad. Somehow it managed to completely bypass the diaper she was wearing and ended up all over her, the seat she was in, and the floor.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just how do they do that?

This is the kind of thing Science should be seeking answers for!

[/ QUOTE ]

First-time parents should never buy pink or blue for thier children. Stick with yellow (and to a lesser extent green) pastel clothes until they are good at putting diapers on.

The most nail-biting event I ever had in a PvP zone wasn't from another player. I was trying to get a Warburg nuke when my 1 year-old started to wake from his nap. I drug the last scientist to his door, then ran to redeem the code. My son started to make a few little noises and I knew what was coming.
I got up to the last control panel to launch the rocket and waited for that interaction bar to finish, glancing over to see him squirm a bit.....
The rocket launched and to finish it's animation was the sound of...."BlooooOOOOoooooorrrRRrrrrooooooooopp!"
A Biological payload.
17. Also: Check whichever chatbox tab you have the NPC chatter in.
18. I'll give you the ice cream instead. Using the upcoming Color Customization to allow you to choose flavors as well.

Since I'm in a good mood, rather than debate "No to Botting!", I would agree to allowing up to Two Auto-firing powers, so long as niether of them require a target. Hasten + Practiced Brawler, yes. Practiced Brawler + Rage, okay.

Or you could just drop Hasten. Your endurance bar will thank you.
19. Yesterday, my three-year-old sat on my lap as I played my (L24) Bots/FF Mastermind. His comments were "Need more robots" and "I like Bubbles".
Then he grabbed the remote for the stereo and started pointing it at things going "PewPew Pew".

idea for ae

[ QUOTE ]
hey all i got a idea for AE. all people do is use it to farm right?

[/ QUOTE ]
Incorrect.
You start with a false assumption, which gives little support to your following idea. I suggest you check the search engine of the AE mission generator and look at some of the well-crafted stories.
Perhaps afterward hit the "random" button a dozen times and see how many of those are farms and how many are not.

Do you think that AE is mostly farming because of Atlas Park Broadcast? Go to any other zone.
21. That just seems silly to me.
Throwing a DoT on a tough foe is a lot better than just doing nothing.

Hmm. Take the foes regeneration rate as "R" at (% of total HP over time) and the DoT's damage over time as "D" at (% of the foe's total HP over the same amount of time).
Does D>R?

And you are likely to be using other attacks as well.
22. [ QUOTE ]
I think I just lost brain cells from these stories. How... HOW?!

[/ QUOTE ]
You didn't lose them. They just quit to join a team with better XP.
