Sounds like Personal Apartments + Summonable Custom Sidekick (or whatever it's called) + Nemesis System. Three oft-requested ideas.
-
Quote:I would be interested in dual-aspect generics, particularly for powers that are currently best served by frankenslotting. For example, Follow Up can take either ToHit Buff sets (which don't give ACC enhancement to make the power hit) or Melee damage sets (wich augment the minimal damage that the attack does, but doesn't help the ToHit bonus that a successful strike gives)I think you're right. 70% might be a bit too much.
I wonder if people would be interested in dual aspect generics???
I would also be happy with enhancements that gave the same base enhancement as L50 single, dual or triple enhancements (without set bonuses), but didn't scale down during exemplaring. -
Yeah, I'm okay with current drop rates, but increasing them even slightly would have much more actual effect than the OP's proposed stimulus package.
And yes, I took Mako's 'Throw_Fish', but only as a pre-req to get 'Upset_Tummy'. -
I read it as: One non-stackable freespec, per build, on each character. And with dual builds, you'ld have two freespecs total, but only one per build.
I like it. I could easily do without it, but I still like it.
EDIT to add: Currently I have a L50 dual-built Crab. One build with pets and one without. The Pets-Build has proven to be superior, so with every Issue that we get a freespec, I intend to pull ten enhancements out of the Petless-Build to toss into the VG bins.
With this new option, I'd also be able to freespec the Pets-Build every now and then. -
Quote:In the case of high-demand items, that little subsidy would disappear immediately. Ten minutes later, you're right back where you were.It seems, that thanks to AE, prices on the market have skyrocketed... its like the economic problems we have in real life.
I think to stabilize the market they could put in 100 of each item/enhancement, to make the prices go down a little bit.
I hate the market, there is no good part when some enhancements are worth 100 mil and you're poor.
In the case of Vendor-trash, it would sit forever, and solve nothing.
If you want a long-term reduction in prices, an increase in drop-rates would do it.
Look what happened to Costume Piece Recipes. At first, they were in the millions. Then the drop rates were increased and now they are quite cheap.
Yes, some very few enhancements are worth 100 mil. And they are very much unneccesary for normal play.
I hate to sound negative, but if you are "poor", it's your own fault. Just the simple act of using the Market to sell your drops nets $Inf. Not marketeering, flipping, crafting or any "tricks". Just playing the normal game and selling the resulting drops. -
Any reason why the [http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Weapon_Mastery] Weapon Mastery APP couldn't have a pistols-rather-than-shuriken counterpart?

Quote:8 AE Tickets for a random Tech Common roll. Just do an AE arc (Farm, non-farm, whatever) and hit the random button until you get what you want.ok the person that pointed out that we are talking about the period immediately following dbl xp is correct and I have played cov long enough to expect the spike my statement was that this is not a normal spike and yes I had to buy pistons for 1 mill to complete a toon lucky for me I only needed 4 more but 4 mill for something I normally pay as suggested 5k or less for was painful and no I am not JOKING its not FUNNY
If you somehow manage to fill your salvage pockets before getting four of what you want, then sell the other stuff. I sincerely doubt that only one of the salvage items in that group would be jacked up. You should then be able to buy what you need. -
I believe that Ranged Punching is available in the "Super-Stretching" powerset. And named "Super-Stretching" because someone is really stretching to create the final member of thier Fantastic Four Ripoff Team. *smirk*

Quote:Awesome! Put them as statues in the base, please!<snip>.......And to promote the figures, you could even introduce a virtual toyline in game! Say 1000 Inf at an invention table for a random figure, which can then be placed in your base. Seperate them into differant rarities and you've got something for OCD collectors like me to drool over. For example, Statesman would be a rare figure, and an Arachnos Wolf Spider would be common, but you have no way of knowing what you'll get until you pay the 1000 Inf. Next thing you know you'll have people trading figures and selling them on the market, just like real life collectables.
I'd be happy to do this. Or perhaps as recipes that only drop while in SG Mode. -
Quote:1) I don't find the need for a second computer to know roughly what the Vendor price is for salvage. That's pretty easy.I was going through selling items at Wentworth's when I began to wonder what the retail price was of some of the items being bought and sold.
For instance, I rarely auction recipes. I'll take it to a store and sell it there because often I'll get a much better price for them. I've found this to be true especially true for the non-invention recipes (i.e. flight, damage, accuracy, etc.).
But there are some items where you have to wonder whether you're getting a good price for them.
So my suggestion is this: how about having a suggested retail price in the item description?
For Wentworths, have it called the Wentworth Retail Listing.
For the Black Market, have it called the Arbiter Retail Value.
This would be listed at the bottom of the item description screen when you put an item up for bidding, and it would be the price that you would get if you were to take the item to a regular store to sell it.
For instance, let's say you're a blue-sider and you have a luck charm in your salvage bin. You take it to Wentworth's and you drop it into the bidding slot. In the item description window (after you click the "MORE" button) it gives a quick listing of what the item is, and then at the bottom of the window it gives the "Wentworth Retail Listing" at 425i.
In other words, if you put it back into your salvage bin and took it to a store or a quartermaster or sold it to one of your contacts, you'd get 425 influence.
Of course luck charms have a great market value, so when you look at the bidding history and you see that recently these things have sold for 10,000i or even as high as 125,000i, then you know you would be better off putting it up for bidding than to sell it at retail value.
But let's suppose the market tanks on luck charms. It COULD happen. You check the history and it says the most the luck charm has been sold for recently is 100i. That's not to say that the auction price wouldn't go back up to 10,000i, or that someone wouldn't just mad-drop 50,000i just to guarantee the purchase. It just says that right now you would probably get more if you took it to the store instead of auctioning it and hoping it would bring the price up.
Obviously there would be some items that you can't sell to a store. 2nd and 3rd-tiered inspirations quickly come to mind. In those situaions, the retail price would be seen as "N/A".
I know that giving an on-screen retail price would create an artificial bottom for prices, especially for the low-valued items. Bear in mind, though, that even though the LISTED price would be seen, it wouldn't be a requirement. Caveat Emptor still rules the markets. The real price would STILL be what the market will bear. This would just be a helpful guide for those who don't have more than one computer at their gaming disposal.
---
The difference between Vendor-trash Set recipes and expensive ones is usually (but not always) pretty obvious. If one set is around 250i at L30 (with zero bids and 8 for sale) and the other set is around 300K, it's safe to take the cheap one to the Vendors.
2) Where do you get a Vendor price of 425 for a Common Salvage? I only get 250.
3) I can see the value of having the vendor price listed with the "Last 5".
If this implemented, then we might as well see the "Wentworth's Last 5" listed at the vendors. This might help keep people from mistakenly vendoring things that they could get a lot more for. There's probably still people who vendor all thier Salvage and Recipe drops, rather than enter the Market areas and there's a word for them: Broke. -
Quote:Oh, I'm not upset at this thread, and I *do* like his posts.I included a link to the thread his humerous posts are in so people can go there directly and see his posts and decide for themselves.
If you don't like his posts then feel free to go on your merry way. I just hit me that with all the "you rep me and I'll rep you" crap going on, it would be nice to see someone that has made thousands of us (9,246 at last count) laugh, get an attaboy from his peers.
I'm sorry if this idea rubbed you the wrong way BBQ.
I'm just thinking that this effort to give rep to one specific poster (of fairly good stuff!) is kind of artificial tasting.
To be fair, there's quite a few people deserving of kudos and I'd like to think that they will get there in time. -
"Why does Psychoti only have 1 Rep?"
My answer would have been "because the Rep system is only like a couple weeks old*, and many folks either: didn't notice it, don't care or haven't read anything from Psychoti that tickled thier fancy. While he is one of the posters who brings what I consider 'da good stuf' to the boards, it's not like he's posting all over the place, so there's somewhat limited exposure."
Does he post much outside the Rude Tells thread?
So now there's a whole thread dedicated to grabbing rep points for ONE poster? I'm not going to go straight from this thread to go give Psychoti Rep points, but instead I will give points as I see fit.
*Disclaimer: the EU boards might have had a rep system, but the NA boards did not have such a system for quite a while. There was a 1-5 starring of posters for a while, but they took it away pretty early. -
True. But there's Siphon Speed, which is self (and your targeted Foe) only.
Having IR grant Immob Resistance would not only benefit the Caster (and thus the team indirectly as the caster is better able to serve the team), but would be handy as an occasional break-free from Immobilize effects. -
Quote:Dual Archery? No, that would be quad-arm Blasters, and you specified Tanks. My next suggestion is why not have us be able to make tankers with four arms instead of the standard two and maybe even create a powerset that goes with the four arm tankers.
Dual Blades+Shield+Warmace?
Super-Hugging as a Tank Secondary?
Anyway, I'm going to have to politely decline, for reasons already given by other posters. -
-
I forgot to mention that IR doesn't suffer from Suppresion in combat, unlike Super Jump, but Combat Jumping doesn't suffer from Suppression either.
It just seems like a boost that would be keeping with the Kinetics theme of building a team's momentum.
I would also consider adding resistance to slow, but that might be more fitting to Speed Boost, and I don't want to open that can of worms. -
Upon playing a Corruptor with the Kinetics Secondary, I was pleased to have Inertial Reduction in my powerset. I could have a travel power without having to taking up one of my pool choices, or fit in a pre-requisite power into my build.
I was happy with my choice until fighting an enemy with Immobilize effects. The I was struck by the fact that a Pool (Leaping) was superior in some ways to a Secondary power. Heck, for Defenders it's a Primary!
Kinetics is all about Speed and Power, Damage and Energy being shifted in your (and your team's) favor.
What I propose is that Inertial Reduction grant Resistance (or Protection, whichever the correct term is) to Immobilization effects, equal to Combat Jumping.
I feel that this change would not make this power unbalanced, as I'm not asking for mez resistance for the /kinetics character and thier buffed allies, not even resistance to Slow.
Nor am I asking for Combat Jumping's +Def. -
So how would you do this?
Like Netflix?Quote:It sounds like the system would have to retain the information about what you liked somewhere. I'm not sure how much storage this would take, but it sounds interesting. You Five-starred this Arc! Players that enjoyed this arc also enjoyed these: <List>
I often hit the Random button and I have to tell you, the results are more often than not, pretty bad. -
Primary Powers Continued:
14) No YOU! Click, ST Taunt.
15) I Bonk you! Head Butt.
Secondary Continued:
14) Kiss my Boo-Boo? Self Heal, requires a ToHit Check against a targeted player or foe.
15) Summon Grandma. The most powerful power in the Mitigation/Defence line, you may not use any of your Primary or most of your Secondary powers. But you don't need to. Grandma is that awesome. -
I'm not usually a Defender player, but...
FF/Energy.
Kin/Elec (Deleted from SB aggravation). -

12) Hop! Hop! (Combat Jumping.)
13) Wiggle Worm. Click. Moderate Recharge. Acts like a Breakfree, but only against Slows, Immobs and Holds. -
Quote:Oh.It's Japanese slang for a pre-op male-to-female transexual.
There's one of those that's the Mayor of Silverton, Oregon.
He got in a little trouble for wearing a bikini top and a short skirt to a public event. There's apparently a dress code for public officials when they are performing thier official duties. As one of the people in attendance said "Dang, I really didn't want to see his huge jugs." -
Quote:I think my roster qualifies for four drinks. Three for the bolded ones and one for my GILF Widow.Every time you see a vampire, werewolf, sorceress or magician, take a drink.
Every time you see a child character, take two drinks (ankle biters!)
Every time you see skin-colored tights, eden pasties, or fishnet shirts, take a drink.
Unless you add: Mutant Pig (x2!), Mutant Possum, Armored Characters (multiple) and Mad Scientist.
I mean if Sorceress counts, then I'm gonna count Mad Scientist too.
