Additional slot(s)?
One can hope.
Edit:

According to this, you get 1 additional character slot every 12 months, so when the next one opens up, save it for a GR character. -
Quote:You might have better luck over on Justice.I am looking for a PL to lvl 22 and 50 million influence on Virtue and offering the same on Freedom IF anyone is interested.
As for the code of conduct/EULA thing:
http://us.ncsoft.com/en/legal/user-a...f-conduct.html
There you go.
#11 "or trading items from one server to another" is pretty well out-of-date, since the Market server is doing it constantly.
Or, next time you are ready to hit "{I Agree}" to enter the game, read the part in the EULA about exploits/cheats and ask yourself if it applies to using the SK system to gain multiple levels while doorsitting. -
So, just curious.
How many of you have characters who are Time Travellers, whether on par with the "Time travel at a whim" level or simply "Tossed into the timestream by other forces"?
Since I'm starting this line of questioning, I'll go first.
I have two, sorta.
1) Cinae Genesis
Fire/Kin Corrupter
Costume: Magic-y stuff
She (and her sister(s) whenever the mood to expand upon the feel of a magic-y Kinetics character hits me) is from Moldavia (aka Moldova). According to CoH lore, Baron Zoria (founder of the CoT) arrived in England in the late 1800's, presumably from Russia. So I thought of a what-if that involved a tiny country that could have been in his path on the way. The what-if proposes that Zoria (and whatever cultists he was leading at the time) encountered resistance at this point and a magic-wielding Prince of this land may have sent an apprentice to modern times to learn ways to defeat this threat. Since she is currently in this time, presumably she will (or had? paradoxes possible) fail. Or fail to return.
Fire/Kin Corrupter
Costume: Magic-y stuff
2) Lt. Ferber (Bots/FF) wears some kind of a Buck Rogers kind of military-looking uniform. (sleeveless robe, armored pants and sleeves, elongated helmet with antenna)
His bio states that he wears patches on his uniform labelled "4th Mechanized Infantry" and "Martian Defence Force"
His claim is that he and his squad were exploring a deep cavern when they encountered an alien device. And that while stranded here on 20th century Earth he has had to build crude (by his standards) robots.
(Of course, he could be entirely delusional, or lying through his teeth.)
How about you folks? -

Someone new to the game might not know that names are server-specific. I think that when you type in a name for a new character and it is taken (not that it happens very often, but it does happen), the responce message should be changed.
Instead of "That name is unavailable, try again.", it should read "That name is unavailable on this server, try another name or try on another server."
Bonus points if it looks for servers where it IS available and suggests those.
For some folks, the choice of servers is more important (my SG/friends, other characters/etc. are there...)
For others, the choice of name is more important (my characters have always been named this since pen-n-paper days, I really wanted this one concept etc....)
They can sort themselves out. -
I like the idea. The copies of PC's would have to be:
Opted in. (you've got that covered)
Limited in available power choices, AE style. (covered). -
Quote:They're out looking for thier kids.I'd be happy if they just went to bed at nighttime. They're creepy nightwalkers.
Okay, sarcastic comments aside, I think that seeing a few citizens using the tram and perhaps even a little shopping would be a good thing. I'd just hate to see the areas get choked up. -
Luckily, there's an ingame location where you can sell them and buy different ones.

Everything you do in the game that earns XP, earns $Inf.
Honestly, without doing anything even remotely like "Farming" or "Marketeering", I've noticed that just by selling all my drops at "sell it now" rock-bottom prices, I've made way more (several times more!) from sales of drops than by the $Inf dropped directly from foes. I have characters that have done that who have earned 300 million, plus a build slotted out in upper-medium sets but haven't earned more the 10-14 Million in direct $Inf dropped from foes (measured by badge progress).
*Disclaimer: Recipes that were obviously Vendor Trash (i.e. extremely low-demand) I sold to vendors.
If it seems that prices for everything are too high for your tastes, remember that prices are high for your sales as well. Go hunt some more pixellated pinatas and see what juicy loot falls out. It's not hard.
If you want to see lower prices at the Market, the only way to do it for more than a few hours would be for drop rates to increase, or for a high percentage of players to change thier gaming styles. When an event occurs, players flock to it, and drops for that critter(s) goes down rapidly in price. -
Quote:Yeah, I don't know where (or why) this got started. I see "Shipping the NPC's" and the first thing that comes to mind is :P.S. I absolutely despise your terminology for relationships...it makes me cringe everytime I see the half-word "ship".
Using Google Search for "UPS Girl" gave much more favorable results though. -
Quote:Cooler, in some people's opinions.I don't think there should be a limit. Beside, everyone gets a new Veteran badge every 3 months. I think people are just focusing on the "new" toy when it is announced. Unlocking the Demon and Angel wings is as cool as the Reveal power.
I might have used these wings, and might do so again, but I've never used the Reveal Power, nor do I expect to.
I appreciate the Vet Rewards, treating them as gifts, but other than a "Thank you" from the Devs, I don't see them as a big deal. -

Quote:I assume that they also have random gibberish for names?Gold farmers have become very brazen lately. I see them all the time in either the Talos or RWZ AE. They're easy to spot:
* Terrible costumes. Seems like they just pick a set costume set and randomize the color.
* SOs only
* Fire controllers. The group I see are two Fire/Kins and a Fire/FF. One of them have group fly. I'm assuming it's one gold farmer triple boxing.
* They won't respond to you if you send them a tell or try to talk to them in local.
I realize as a player it's not my duty to do anything about these guys, nor do I have absolute proof that they are gold farming (farming influence and selling it back as RMT), but it grates on me nonetheless.
Still, as a player, I don't want to see these guys, especially in something as obvious as an AE center.
They could quite easily be farmers for a RMT setup. (or players from Justice, where it's safe to play blueside, but everything you've heard in steroetypes about Freedom server exists. Illiteracy and verbal abuse over Broadcast, PL for hire schemes, gibberish character names, costumes straight from the random button, etc.)
We briefly had a triple-boxer on this forum, (JG001 if memory serves), and I've no reason to believe that he was involved in RMT. He could communicate well, but if you sent communications to the wrong one of his triple-team, he would not respond quickly. If you accused him ingame of RMT garbage, I don't know if he would respond to that at all.
It's not your duty to do anything?
If you have proof (which you don't, just a bunch of circumstantial evidence) someone is violating the EULA, particularly in a way that is detrimental to the game, then you do have a duty to report it.
If you see a crime occuring in RL and don't report it, then aren't you helping it occur?
But no, in this case, all you see is suspicious activity.
Luckily, sending a /petition doesn't punish the target without a fair trial.
just type "/petition RMTfarmers" and fill out the pop up. Support can check these guys out and see if they are passing large amounts of currency to secondary accounts. Or see that everything they do is limited to thier own three accounts. -
Quote:Everyone can earn every Vet badge, eventually.I'd also like that to be the very last Vet reward with an associated badge. You'd still get a free costume token every three months, a respec every year (or is it 9 months?), and a character slot every year... but no more badges.
I'm the rare sort of badger who wants EVERYONE to be able to get EVERY badge, if that's what they want to do. -
Quote:Make every upgrade a targeted AoE exactly as it is with an initial cost of 7 End. 7 End covers firing it on one minion, and for every friendly minion it upgrades who isn't the target it applies an additional 7 end penalty to the caster.Quote:And at lower levels, you don't have a boss to spend 42 end on
No thank you. While this could be done, it would be done as a -end effect on caster for each target hit. But -end effects are not affected by endurance reduction enhancements, so this change would make the upgrades more expensive than they are now (assuming you put endrdx in the default slot), and make endrdx largely useless in the upgrades.
It cost 22 points for the upgrade to be cast on the original target and 4 for each additional, non-upgraded henchman in the AoE.
For the situation of original setup of a six pet MM, you are still looking at 42 points of End, of which EndRed slotting only helps defray a portion of the 22. A Nerf, but during setup you have time and resources to pop blues, hit Rest, etc.
For the situation of upgrading a single pet in mid-battle, it would cost 22, rather than the existing 42, and all of the 22 points would be subject to EndRed slotting. Thus, a Buff in this instance. -
Quote:Are you thinking of the old way the Upgrade powers worked and casting the Upgrade multiple times? How about just coding it so it can't be reapplied to Henchmen who have already receive the upgrade and make the endurance only be lost when it actually upgrades a henchie?
You only have to cast it once, and every henchman who is in the AoE gets the upgrade. -
-
Interesting.
I have a question though.
When calculating the End Cost of summoning and upgrading (in your examples), what do you expect a player to have in the default slot of the Upgrade powers, other than an EndRed?
"(42x2)+(20x3)" is a hefty cost, so I would expect to have a EndRed (maybe two) in the upgrade powers. Rest should be recharged at the start of a mission. (Remember when Rest was on a much longer timer, what, ten minutes? *sigh*) And by the time that you get the second upgrade power at L32, you have a decent-sized tray to hold inspires.
I hate to argue against a buff for any class that needs it, (or against anything I'm currently playing), so I will state:
I like the idea of the End Cost being variable depending on how many of your pets actually need to be upgraded. (and are within the AoE, of course) -

Rejected: No one felt like writing what would be a three hour TF, with a minimum team size of seven after all the whining about Positron and Quaterfield.
