Perhaps not, even though it might apply.
I try to squeeze a little gameplay in when I should be doing other things. Perhaps even posting on the forums from work...*tries to look innocent*
  2. Okay, so I got a small Villian Base, sitting on a small to medium PvP-capable plot.

    2 (2x2) Transporter Rooms w/8 zones accesible. (Mercy->GV, PocketD)
(2x2) Control Room w/ Flashback Mission Crystal, Empty Salvage Rack
(2x2) Medbay with RezRing, Inspiration Storage (Rarely Used)
    Entry Room (Of course)
(4x4) Workshop w/ 7 Storage Tables (none of which are full), 1 Salvage Rack (almost full), Salvage Vault, two Workbenches (redundant, placed right under Vault door so as not to have to move around)
(2x2) Power Room. Generates more than enough for current needs.
(2x3) Control Room. Generates more than enough for current needs.
3 (2x1) Rooms. Decorative use. (faking hallways, jail cell)
1 (3x3?) Room of some type (Workshop?) Has a pop-up turret. No other features of note.

Since I'm the only account using this base anymore, I don't see myself unlocking any of the VG badges for the next level of unlockable stuff.

What else do I really need?

All I can think of is:
    1) Maybe a couple of storage tables, but the ones I have are not full, and things are organized in a manner that suits me. (I could divide them up a bit more, but would end up with several tables at less than 40% capacity).
    2) Maybe a couple more Salvage Racks and start sharing between alts.
3)Or a couple decorative rooms. (A Pool is what, a recessed floor and some Slow fields?) I'm having a bit of Writer's Block when coming up with ideas for rooms.

    Any Ideas?

  4. I agree with your suggestion and wish for it to be implemented.

A Tank (or any other character) that purposefully dies while on a team is going to be a character that I would look to dump. The last time I saw this was on a Hollows team, when someone still thought "Leeroy Jenkins" was funny and dove into a mega-spawn. Sadly, half the team followed.
Once that agro is lost, there would be heck to pay if that spawn is strong enough to kill more party members, rending the team weaker and weaker as each member falls. Unless the Tank were able to quickly get back up, toggle up and start grabbing agro again.
If that spawn is weak enough that the loss of the Tank doesn't put anyone at risk, then the Tank wasn't that badly needed, nor was the effects of using RotP.

Someone who purposefully dies? Unless it's a very weak teammate and someone else wants to use Vengeance and Fallout, I'm going to doubtful about the group.

If you don't expect to be regularly defeated, and you have one power which works only when you are, what's the point?
On Tanks why isn't this power coupled with Invulnerability, Stone, WP, or Shields, but only with the squishier armors?
Because Geko and Castle "expect" those weaker sets "to be defeated" at a higher ratio.
    .
To me that's a loser power that can be skipped for something that may keep your toon alive, rather then one that assumes defeat is inevitable. ;]
I'd like to see RotP remodeled but it would have to be so neutered if it worked as OP suggested that it would be highly situational at best.
While Fire Armor may be considered a weaker set, RotP allows it to rejoin the fray quickly, without needing to be ported out to a safe area to do it's rez. With other self-rezzes, I've been killed mid-animation.
I don't consider it a loser power, even if as a Fire Tank, I've been passed over on TF's for not being Stone.

At least my Tier 9 isn't so chintzy that it's handed out at Xmas as a Temp Power....*Looks at rewards for rescuing Baby New Year*
    Ah, <Expletive>. Nevermind.
  6. So I see 1 Popular Name Lady on /search, as two others are hidden, two were dropped off to truncate the list and one was outside my search parameters.
    I type:
"/tell Popular Name Lady, Forming Positron Team, interested?"

    Who gets the tell?
  7. This is quite interesting. I like the concept and really hope it works out.
I will be curious as to how high of level the characters get.

    * = Yes, that is an exaggeration, but still...
Ah, you play Blueside, I see.
This fits with my belief that older content should be revamped a bit. That the missions from a story arc should be located in the zone that the contact is actually in, with the exceptions of where it makes sense storywise. And not be too stingy with the phone number.
Want a story arc where most of the missions are in Eden? Throw the contact there.

There should be some travel in a story arc, but not zoning just to be zoning. Not having every mission occur in the same building right behind the contact, (AE style? ) but scattering them across the same zone, not scattered across the entire city.
Some arcs are worse than others, (Indigo and Crimson come up in conversations like these) and it's made worse when the zones in question require more than one loading screen to get to.
Steel-> Talos? Fine, grab the tram. One Step.
Peregrine->Atlas? The shortest will be Peregrine->Base Portal->AP, if you have a SG.
There's quite a few three step routes.

CoV seems better set up for this. Very little zoning just to be zoning. Granted, there's fewer zones to do that sort of malarkey anyway, but you get my point. The only times where a contact sends me to a different zone actually stick out in my mind.
Some GV arcs sending me to use the Portal in Northern Nerva by Tech. Naylor. Being sent to Seer Marino in Mercy.
IMO, CoV was set up after listening to the complaining of just this situation that you describe. Now if they could only revamp a few of the older arcs.

...I think Praetorian Sallys would be ALL over the place, like lots of them running all over.... and they can hit you but not hurt you. When they hit you, it causes an automatic Placate effect on you until you leave the zone.
If one of them hits you twice, a badge appears over it's head and that one loses all interest in you.

Shoulda named him "Loud Howard" as a Dilbert Homage.

Yes, seems like it should be what it should be defaulted to NOT show.
Or at least, when the /search finds that it must drop names off to truncate, drop teamed folks off first, especially non-leaders.

    So did I.

If the OP is really worried, then he should write a Macro Button that states a disclaimer.
/macro Dev1 "Local I'm not a Dev and have never claimed to be. I'm just so fabulous and awesome that some folks jump to the wrong conclusions."
    Edit to add:
/macro Dev2 "Local I am not a Hacker, a Gold Farmer or a Moderator. Luke, I am not your father."
/macro Dev3 "Local I do not work for NCSoft, Cryptic or any other similar entity. I am just a left-handed, brownhaired man that works at a gas station in Des Moines by day, and enjoys City of Heroes by night, particularly playing with the costume editor."
  17. Sister Psyche would give Swan some less-revealing clothes.

Mako would do quite well. He would get a Treasure Chest that blows bubbles, a Deep-Sea Diver chained to it, and big sign that says "No Fishing".

With this, bosses would count for more "worth" (taking out the leaders if you will) and thus this would work well for powersets with ST specialization instead of AOE.
Okay, you could do that for Hazard Zones if you want. But for regular City Zones, 20-25 seems more appropriate to me.
LT's and Bosses being "worth" more (for the purposes of Hunts) would passify me, particularly for those stupid "Hunt 50 <$Faction> in P.I." missions where only those encountered outdoors count.
And it would certainly be interesting if Bosses and LT's counted as more than a minion towards Defeat Badges as well, although I'd never expect that to happen.

I would *hope* you knew about them by then.

At the very least, make it a mission you get while you're still OF level in Kings Row. Make it the first mission you get from your radio contact before you take radio missions or something. Or better yet, give it to Blue Steel when you pop into zone, since the contact in question is right behind him anyway.
Yes, missions should always be in the same zone as the contact, unless there is a story-wise reason for it.
The mission to discuss difficulty settings is one where there is no reason for it to be any Security Chief other than the closest one.

    This.

Any spawn I can Solo down to 50%, I can wait a few seconds for HF to get close to recharging, Pop RotP, toggle up and finish off the spawn.
Folks have always been divided on this power, and I have been on the side that loves it.
    Only self-rez I ever liked.

"Honorable," which of course would be "Disgraced."
A good Henchman would be Faithful, Loyal, Steadfast, Devoted and Dedicated to his Archvillian.
And thus, the Villian Player is Devoted to this game.
It's possible for an evil character to follow a twisted version of "Honor". All the really great ones have a higher set of motivations than just wanton violence and petty crime. There's always a larger goal.

I could see Stubborn or perhaps Subversive (a bit out of context, but whatever) or maybe Selfish, but when you are talking about a player who has stuck around for years, Fickle or Unreliable are not applicable.

  23. A ninja with a belly like a bowl full of jelly?

But still, Santa is still a pirate.
  24. Ninja:
*Trains in a secret location, presumably at the North Pole.
*Is awesome when there is only one, is lame when there are many.
*Is able to enter and leave undetected.
*Is reputed to have near-mystical abilities, beyond the laws of physics.
*Employs a very diminutive workforce to manufacture toys, most of which bear "Made in <AsianCountry>" tags.

    Pirate:
*Is quite jolly, and likely intoxicated.
*Is an overwieght, bearded cuacasian man.
    *Lords over a loyal crew.
*Carries a sack of questionably-obtained goods. Supposedly it's all toys, but you never know what he's doing in ALL those houses, right?
*According to the song, "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus", Santa digs the ladies. Pirates chase wenches, ninjas do not.
*Avoids capture by law enforcement, fluanting the laws against speeding, landing on rooftops, driving while intoxicated, breaking and entering, failure to operate a moving vehicle with proper registration or lighting (no brake lights, turn signals and the only headlight has a red lense) larceny (mostly milk and cookies) and a variety of other infractions.
    And most of all........
"YO Ho Ho" = "HO Ho Ho!"

    The answer is Pirate.
    That is all.
