  1. Rather than implement this complicated system, I would advocate for a simpler option to customize things.
    Currently:
    1) XP at full, with Patrol XP and all that.
    2) XP Off
    3) XP at full, with no Patrol XP (Only available in AE).

    Proposed:
Slider that allows the following options:
    1) XP On
    2) XP Off
    3) XP at 50% gain, no Patrol XP. (No other special bonuses.)

This proposal is assuming that leveling speed needs another form of brakes added, which some folks will argue that it doesn't, since you can already "tap the brakes" by turning the XP on/off as many times as you want inside a mission, even alternating between every kill, if you want.

Having EB's would be a bit much. I know I just don't need that much help. Watching the purchased pets slaughter everything (and take that big of a cut of the rewards) would get boring for me.
Having Minions, LT's and Bosses sounds right. You could grab one for a minor help, many for a bigger amount of help.
I only see this being useful for my weaker solo'ers in my stable of characters, and they are the ones who would be great buffers/support for these pets. My FF Defender would almost be no different (should she grab pets all the time) than my Bots/FF MM.

    I like that.
  4. I'd suggest that the temporary pets reduce the XP/Inf much like "damage caused by a force not on the team" and remove a share of the drops, much like a teammate.
This would reduce how much it is used to make farms super fast and easy, by hopefully reducing the reward by as much as it reduces the time to clear the same area.

Grab the temp pets from either:
    A) A roster of the named bosses from the Mayhem/ Safeguard missions. This would also be a good excuse to expand the roster.
    or
    B) (Maybe, probably a bad idea) A roster of existing NPCs? Want a Malta Gunslinger as your sidekick?
    or
    C) Your own Alts, but under AI control. Problem: Would allow custom buff-bots, and the AI will be sloppy with using a full builds powersets correctly.

    Targeted AoE KBs

I suppose we could retrofit all targeted AoEs with Knockback into pseudopet spawning knockback powers to achieve what you're asking for. But that would call for no small amount of coding to resolve a "problem" that generally isn't.
I would like the psuedopet idea. Tossing a grenade (or using another, similar power) at the farthest foe in the spawn, it makes sense that foes should be KB'ed from the explosion, not away from me.

Of course, there's also the fact that I can toss a grenade at a foe, and if he's moving, the grenade will change course in midair to land on him, but that's another thing.

And what does it have to do with flooding the market with unwanted crap? Don't people already do that with their unwanted crap...?
Yes, they do, and it's not a bad thing. One man's trash is another man's treasure. If I throw some utter garbage pieces onto the market, I do so at bargain basement prices. Anyone who wants to glean it from the system can buy it for a pittance and choose to either use it or sell it to the Vendors for a profit.
That's why using the Sets with cruddy set bonuses is such a bargain over SO's. Because of folks doing what I am.

Anyway, back to the Global Bank and Loot Mailbox ideas.
I think that if they were to make some kind of account-wide shared Global Bank, like other games (with far fewer character slots?) do, then they should have done so at the very beginning.
As for the Loot Mailbox? Send items for a postage rate of 10% of the amount that a Vendor would give you for that item. Thus, 25, 100 and 500 for Salvage. The Devs appear fond of $Inf Sinks and it's not like the items folks are going to want to transfer are going to be Vendor Trash items anyway.
If the mail transfer would put the recipient over the limit? Keep the amount still in the sender's inventory. Otherwise, you create a mailbox that serves as infinite storage.

While I'm not terribly against the idea, I don't expect it to ever happen. (Yes, I've been wrong before). Remember, these are the Dev's who said that letting us keep ten enhancements after a respec was generous and who designed bases to have an upper limit on Enhancement/Salvage storage tables and no Recipe storage devices. They appear to be anti-hoarding, and these ideas, depending on implementation, would lead to much easier hoarding.

    Ignore?
    Power isn't that bad.
Granted, he posts some bad ides (some of them repetitively), and his grammar is in bad shape, but his spelling has improved noticably since he started posting here. I can read his posts without having to stare at the screen for several minutes.

His posts lack the trollish intent and the level of general hostility and thrown insults that make for a good /ignore candidate in my book.
Maybe I'm just too forgiving, but there are only two people on my forum ignorelist, and three that used to be, but were dropped when the forums moved to this new format.

Never ran into him ingame, though. I have no idea what he is like there.

I assume that's sarcasm, since you already can transfer wealth from one character to another.

Here's my stock answer to this suggestion: "Meh."
Here's my reasons for that answer:
    1) We can already do it.
We can transfer wealth (in the form of $Inf or valuable items that can be later converted to Inf) in several ways.
    A) Same Server, Same Faction: Put them in a SG together, drop items (Enhancements, Salvage) into base storage.
    B) Any Server (except Test), Same Faction: Use the Market to sell a low-demand item from the poorer character, pay a percentage transfer fee as the rich character buys the junk item for an extravagant amount.
    C) Any Server, Any Faction: Arrange a transfer via another player. Check your server forums or global channels to easily find a trustworthy player, or use one of your friends.
Edit: D) Same Server, Same Faction: Use a second account to make the transfer.
    ((Thanks, Forbin! ))

    2) We don't need to do it.
Any character can be monetarily self-sufficient by selling thier Recipe and Salvage drops at the Market. Not a hint of "marketeering" needed. Just use the darn thing normally and you will profit enough to set up with rather decent IO sets pre-50.
I admit that it would, however, be very convienient to be able to instantaneously transfer all character income wherever I felt the urge.

    3) How much storage would be sufficient in this bank?
That's my question. Some folks have one character, some have a lot. If I have 12 characters on each of 10 Servers, and each character has storage for a minimum of 30 pieces of Salvage and 2 Billion $Inf, I currently could hold 3600 pieces of Salvage and 240 Billion $Inf, not counting the fact that personal Salvage can be twice that figure of thirty, nor "Tax Shelters" within the Market.
If the storage size of my Global Bank is dependant on how many characters I have, I could easily and quickly make a dozen throwaway characters on Servers that I don't frequent. I guess the EU players would be at a huge disadvantage there.

Let's say that there is no "Global Bank" per se, and you retain the current storage system. And instead, you add a mailing system for $Inf and items.
*Would there be a postage fee? What would determine the size of the postage for items? For currency, it's a straight percentage when you transfer $Inf via the Market.
*What happens when you try to mail Items or Inf that would put the recipient over the storage limit?
I can see myself right now creating a couple of throwaway characters for hoarding, and I'm not much of a hoarder. Increased hoarding would make decreased market supply, meaning higher prices. Higher prices will encourage hoarding, IMO.
  10. As a sidenote: SG base teleporters can tell if there is more than one instance of the zone you are heading to, and give you the option of which one to enter.

Blappers do not get the Defensive benefits that Tanks do. Not too many Blappers can stand in the middle of a mob with Taunt on autofire and go AFK for a sandwich.
There is a tradeoff to every AT.

    Edit to add:
You sound like someone who simply wants to be unhappy here. That's okay, be as unhappy as you want or go somewhere more to your choosing.

1.)Up the badge-counts BACK to where they were in the 1st place.
2.)You gave us colors for powers and such,EXACTLY like Champions Online. Why not coloring the pets for Doms,Trollers, and MM's?
3.)Instead of nerfing powersets in PvP, why not put them back? Slows,Immobs,Heals should work, after all, they do in PvE instances.
4.)Lower the price back to a "normal" state. You charged people double for both gaems, minus a small discout. Now that the 2 are one, why not get competitive with all the other MMO'S financial wise?
Okay, your second post makes more sense.
    1) Sure.
    2) Sure. Just saw a colored Earth critter summoned yesterday.
    3) Maybe they will make more changes, perhaps to your liking.
    4) What rate are you suggesting? I'm playing under $15/mo for both CoH and CoV on my (single) account.

For YEARS people have asked for the same things, like costumes for MM's and Tankers with a ranged attack, yet you wind up doing whatever you want anyways. The one true original idea that you had with Mission Archetect, there obvioulsy wan't a heck of a lot of forethought behind it, and you release another issue just to add to it? Get real, that was a waste of a really good issue. You should know that people with take advantage of anything they can, and if you didnt see the MA abuse coming...well....let's make sure we nerf it multiple times so those who DO enjoy the cool stories reap NO REWARDS anyways! Hooray for killing the Original thinkers! Now to reward those who PLed off of MA...hmm..Let's lower the badge counts by,oh,let's say HALF...Yeah,that'll anger all those badge-hunters who busted their butts for weeks getting certain badges when some noobie can come along and in a few short days attain the same goals some veteran who worked hard to get his. Yeah, that'll kill the veteran badge-hunters! Now, let's hit the poor...after all, some of them are paying twice as much for both games AFTER you already merged them into one set, when WoW's prices are half as much...bye bye low income players. Now, let's get the rest by announcing a NEW expansion that,of course we'll botch so hard in the beginning that it'll drive off the rest. I mean after all, we can't get 1 game set,let alone 2....let's go for broke! What's left? Oh,right,PvP....i know, let's destroy any supplement powers like heals, slows, and Immobs so the only thing we have left is people zipping around blasting away. After all, can't heal, and make sure them with the best range and speed wins, forget any other powerset. So all we have left is PvP with zippity zip shoot and run. Nice works Devs! Keep up the good work! This game has so much potential to run for years and at the rate you're killing it, it'll be lucky to live a few months past CoRogues....Maybe you should actually READ the forums instead of browsing it, Some ideas i think were pretty bad, but should lead to brilliant gameplay....
I believe his intended points are:
*Devs are trying to ruin the game (Obviously, as everyone wants to wreck thier paychecks, right?)
*Devs aren't listening to the players. Including costumes for MM's. (you know, since all the other AT's get to wear costumes.) And ranged attacks for Tanks. (You know, like Hurl Boulder and APPs?)
*Devs should have seen the exploiting of MA before they implemented it. (Okay, I agree with that.)
*Devs have nerfed MA to NO REWARDS! (Um....baloney.)
*Removal of many of the badges from MA will drive off badgers. (Annoyed them, but didn't drive them off)
*Some garbage about having to pay double for both games, when you don't.
*GR will be totally screwed up. (OP has a crystal ball? It's not even in Beta yet.)
*The PvP changes stunk. (Okay, some agree with him on that.) *Healing, Immobs and Slows don't work in PvP. (Really? Whatever. I don't care.)

to clarify, i'm just meh about the idea. not for or against.
Having the multi-instance popup for this power would indeed only affect Virtue, most of the year.
It would possibly affect all servers for the Christmas and Valentine's events.
Or whenever there's a ruckus on the Global channels where a Dev is in there handing out Yellow Titles.

But this could also be applied to other similar powers.
Like the Black Market Teleporter Day Job power could give you the choice between Cap Au Diable1 and Cap Au Diable2. The Blueside equivalent could see more than one Atlas Park or perhaps even Talos.

It might be a little more useful than you think.

What does it have to do with Cottages?

*My explaination of the rule: They won't completely change the effects of a power away from one function from another. Lest it break existing characters.
Example: Instead of yanking the redundant Conserve Power from Electric Armor Brutes in favor of a straight Self-Heal that was heavily requested, they replaced it with Energize, which is still an Endurance tool, but also has a Healing component.

    Correct.
Of course, "more foes=more rolls of the Random Number Generator" as well.

For each character, find a balance of what settings work best for you.
I favor characters with AoE's, so increasing the number of foes works best.
With strong characters that are more Single-Target focused, hordes of low-rank, equal-level critters would be a waste of End for the XP gained, and take forever.
So I would focus on smaller spawn sizes, but bump up the level until the XP gain was good, but not so high that it took too much time for any one defeat.

  21. Up until this point, one Salvage Rack was meant for Costume Salvage, with 4 sets in there at all times, the remainder kept on a L50 of mine who had all his slots already.
The other one went completely unused and forgotten.

The seven enhancement tables are segregated (and filled) as follows:
*Sets: Attacks, Pet Damage. 70%, a bit of it is junk.
    *Sets: Defence, Resistance: 40%+
*Sets: All other Misc. Sets (Heals, Acc.Heals, Mezzes, Travel, DeBuffs), 80%+, much is junk.
    .......
*Common IOs: Acc, Damage, Recharge, EndRed (a.k.a. "Attack Slotting") 80%+
    *Common IOs: Defence, Resist
*Common IO's: All other non-travel (Heal, Stun/Slow/Hold, Etc.)
    ......
*Common IO's: Run, Jump and Fly. Also: SO's for lowbies to grab for sale.

First I'm going to take Redlynne's advice and get some more Salvage Racks, moving some storage into that Turret Room, primarily the better or higher-level stuff. Make that my Mad Scientist's* Workshop, since the VG's resident mad scientist is an upper level (and rank).
Salvage hadn't been a concern or rather had been overlooked, but Candy Canes have brought up the issue.

And somewhere I'll need to put in a pool.

Aluminum_Dave: I'll look at grabbing a RWZ beacon fairly soon and a mission computer eventually.
I think I'm only one badge away from the RWZ beacon, and in the meantime I think the Cap TP'er puts me close enough to the Vanguard building. If I get that last beacon, one TP pad in a 1x2 will look just right.
Darn shame you can only put 1 beacon into that little room. Otherwise I could have a hallway with 5 teleporters in thier own little alcoves. I sorta have that with the 2x2 rooms, but not quite.
My friend and his multiple accounts (His, His brother's, his son and his GF) have gone unpaid, so SFs are out of the picture for a while. Still going to eventually get the mission computer. I'll at least arrange a decent-looking place for it for now.

Thank you both for your input. I've neglected updating and upgrading my base for a while now, having set-up the transporation, crafting/storage and medical aspects to my liking.

I can't tell you how many cool places I've found going from zone to zone, that I would hae missed if ALL of my operations just moved on to a new zone every time I ot a new contact.

on he other hand, I uppose it makes sense that contacts should know most about what was going on in THEIR zone, whether theyd been hearing about things while there or came there to investigate. what if a large majority of misions were in the same zone as the contact, but occaisionally a person could get temporary contacts that are helping out for two or three missions, as a favor to your full contact, since they know far more about X zone than he does.

ehhh... that's probably a bit too complex... but it could ultimately cut down on travel back and forth between zones where the contact is and zones where the mission is at.

(P.S. while peregrine-to atlas will never be shorter than a three-part trip, it isn't as exclusive or expensive as having SG telepoters. Ouroboros portals to Atlas too.)
I wouldn't rewrite ALL the storylines this way, just a fair number of them. Sure, a Nemesis storyline will affect much of the city. But with the Outcasts, you are probably only deal with one splinter of the gang at a time, as one Named Boss decides to edge his way over the others by performing one really big hiest. Most likely only based in one nieghborhood (zone) in his own "turf".

And yeah, plenty of three-part ways from P.I. to Atlas.
P.I.-> VIP pass to Pocket D->KR-->AP
    P.I.-> Talos-->Steel-->AP
