About the "Free $Inf":
1) I'd really doubt it, especially if it were per character.
I would bet that a lot of folks (myself included!) would fill every character slot on every server the day before thier birthday, then the day after transfer all the $Inf.
2) If the free $Inf were only on one character, it would be on the first character logged in on that day.
3) Since every character in this game can be financially self-sufficient, I don't think we need it. Of course, it could be argued that the point of birthday presents isn't What you NEED (who likes getting socks, anyway?), but about getting stuff you WANT.
I've never been one comfortable with asking for goodies to be just given to me, so that's just me. -
Ah, I see that last part. Move the unlock up to L28 OR until the character does a TF/SF to unlock earlier.
No problem.
I can see a "multiple methods to unlock an item" model. After all, there's more than one way to unlock Ouroboros access. The first one I thought of for Redside was the Villain badge for defeating 1000 Longbow. -
Quote:Honestly, I think that you're asking for way too much. The only thing I can see is that "50 mission $Inf", if you are talking about getting 50 $Inf per mission. However, I'm betting that you're trying to say 50 MILLION $Inf, in which case, you're asking for way too much.Everyone will love this one..... Who wouldn't? I was thinking every year when it your birthday the Devs can give us 1-5 levels for ALL our toons on every sever. For us level 50s, we get... eather 50 mission inf/infamy or, 10 powerful ehmancements....
Or, we can have god mode for the day.....
And so we can't just change our birthday to get more levels, let make it so it only will give it to you every 365 days
What do you think!
What I think would be appropriate?
A badge labelled "Birthday Boy" for all your male characters (Or "Birthday Girl" for the females). And the "Present" temp powers awarded at Christmas.
When to award it, though? The company would have to know when your birthday is, and not every player is registered on the boards. Tying it to your account's birthday would simply add it to the twelve month Vet Rewards. -
Would existing EATs/VEATs be grandfathered in?
Otherwise, you would have to delete my current SoAs and completely lock me out of remaking them. -

Quote:I like it.Well, playing around with the colors a bit, I made these:
Rep Blue!
Rep Pink!
ooooo I like the blue ones... I think that'll be my new rep setting.
For some reason I'm in the mood for Starburst Candy.
Then I think "Starbuck" for some reason.
No, not this one:
THIS ONE!

Quote:If the proverbial switch was flipped for current ingame foes of L51+ to drop these without notification going out in the patch notes?Imagine how much money the first people to earn a level 53 drop will make...
Pure chaos as the Tax Shelters dissolved and investors had to scramble to pull thier funds from the market before the farmers could produce the supply.
But, it's not like they couldn't transfer thier wealth to another shelter. So it wouldn't really accomplish anything in the long run.
A few folks would have insta-wealth (most of them being those who have well-slotted L50's, so not the mythical "Casual Player").
A few folks would be upset that thier time/effort/Inf had been wasted.
For April Fool's Day the Dev's could throw phony data into the "Last 5" column to make it look like sales had gone through. No actual $Inf lost, but cause a panic. -
Quote:This. For someone who never bothered with Purples/PvP recipes/Hami-os, I am interested in this, if it is allowed by solo, non-pvp characters. The end game system that will allow us to make our 50's even stronger.
And Dual Pistols.
And a whole new city/zone(s) to explore (Preatoria) with new storylines, new foes, etc.
Side switching (for one character all the way for sure. The rest are fine where they are, or will dabble in the in-betweens.) -
The jellybeans go from green to red to grey.
I wanna see more colors. -
Quote:More like Stateman's the bad guy and Recluse is the dead guy.Now that college has started, I don't have time for the job-like gameplay of WoW, so I've decided to come back to my MMO roots for some casual fun. So far from what I've seen, a lot has changed about the game (all for the better!) and it looks like even more improvements are on the way. But one thing I'm curious about; what's up with Going Rogue? Is it supposed to be an alternate dimension where Statesman's the bad guy and Lord Recluse is the good guy?
There's more to it, or course. -
Quote:Maybe. For Tanks, Scrappers, and Brutes. It would be sweet! Would you agree?
Option1:
Assault Rifle APP1
1) Bayonet Stab
2) Pummel (from the SoA power of the same name)
3) Present Arms (Emote)
4) Order Arms (Emote)
5) Boost Range
Would suck.
Option2:
Assault Rifle APP2
1) Burst (Single Target DoT)
2) Sniper Shot (snipe)
3) Frag Grenade (Targeted AoE, KB)
4) Heavy Burst (Cone DoT)
5) Aim
Would be worth considering. -
Behold, the Pig of Forever!
TPBM has "Transmute Stone to Rock". -
[Supergroup]Hewer Elite: I am ready to face our enemies. My axe is at hand. Our forces are prepared.
[Supergroup]Warrior Slammer: I too am ready. My mace seeks the skulls of our foes.
[Supergroup]Lightning Mage: I cast Lightning Bolt!
Tell:-->Warrior Slammer: ((Dude, I'm gonna boot your brother out of this RPSG if he doesn't reroll.)) -
Quote:You would like to be able to do these things? You certainly can already.I would like to be able to buy SOs and costumes while I level up.
I would like to be able to craft IOs after I hit 50. If I can do it before, that's nice, too.
I hope these concepts are comprehensible.
I'm not sure why you would want to wait until L50 to get IO's, though.
If you are naturally leveling up, you're getting Recipe and Salvage drops the whole way through, which you can craft as desired.
As an experiment, I've taken a few (solo) characters from L1-50 using the most simple (some would say lazy) form of Market use possible.
Dumping all unwanted recipe/salvage drops at "sell it now" lowball prices.
Vendoring enhancement drops.
Buying recipes/salvage as needed, sometimes at "buy it now" highball prices, and I'm still fully IO'd* at L49 with millions on hand.
No "marketeering", farming, flipping or anything complicated.
Note 1: These are solo characters, so drop rates vs teaming characters might be different. In my experience, the value of drops sold has far exceeded the value of $Inf directly dropped by mobs, often by a 7:1 or better ratio over the life of a character.
Note 2: Yes, I spent money on costumes.
Note 3: No, I didn't blow money on enhancements that are going to rot every time I ding and went with generic IO's until better things dropped.
(*While the sets used aren't the top of the line Purples and PvP sets, they aren't trash sets either.) -
I like crossbows.
I like the idea of a crossbow powerset or such.
However, I don't think it would work as simply swapping out the weapon model of the existing bow-using sets. Look where your hands are on the bow.
As a new powerset, it may look a little redundant next to all the Trick Arrow and Archery, but we already have four sword sets (BS, Kat, Nin and DB). -
-
An animation where, when you draw the bow, it has a toilet plunger for an arrow?
Also: Rolling Pin for Mace.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but...
I support Power's right to make suggestions. He did come up with one I liked once.
However, dear Power, please put a little more thought into your suggestions. Flesh them out with more detail. And don't steal other ideas (even from competitor's games) and presenting them as your own with little or no refinement to make it your own and to make it fit within this game.
Thank you for presenting them with better grammar and spelling than you used to, and for handling disagreement well. -

Quote:I wouldn't expect three powers added to every set in one Issue, but instead to trickle in over time and multiple Issues, like how long it took for Scrappers to get the same number of APPs as other ATs...er, nevermind. There's plenty of design space to add more powers to sets. The real catch is... It's a LOT of work. You'd need to add 3 powers to EVERY set, pretty much, to keep it balanced, and you'd need to carefully balance every last one of them. It would be immensely cool, but I don't see it ever happening.
