IMO, any hunt mission of more than 20 is an intentional, pointless waste of a player's time.
-
I'm generally against this idea.
While this might reduce the pay-for-PL side of RMT, those freshly minted L50s are going to need $Inf to enhance with. If they are PvP characters, they are likely to want metric boatloads of $Inf to IO out with. Not having actually played the game they won't have accumulated any wealth, so where are they going to be likely to turn for thier quick wealth?
If the answer is that buckets of $INF will be included, then this needs to be Test Server Only, for sure. -

Just have a wand-waving faerie baby, a normal baby, a cyborg baby, a three-armed baby or a test-tube baby there. -
When you sent me a tell, and you didn't get a response?
It may have been because you were on /hide or /Ghide.
Just sayin'.

Quote:My Bots/FF MM has all of the decent powers from his build, yet for giggles, has "Petless Trick Arrow" in his search comments.I could put up with concept builds, but I really don't understand the petless MM. The no speed boost Kin? Dude got SICK AND TIRED of having to SB the team every 20 seconds, probably. Long as he didn't skip Fulcrum Shift: now that would be really dumb...that's why I sorta want to make a DP/Kin corr when GR's special edition comes up for sale but at the same time I know I'd hatehatehate it because they're expected to be nothing but buffbots for the brutes. Screw dat, i'd go Trick Arrow first and then I don't have anything to buff nobody with. Glue and oil, glue and oil!
The petless MM is ignoring the defining aspect of the AT just so you can have a few really poor quality Pulse Rifle Blasts, though--I don't even see how it could function without a team. But in my experience teams only want an MM slightly more than they want Stalkers but would much prefer MOAR DAMAGE or corrs or doms to either AT. But at least no more petless Thug MMs now that DP is in. I expect Pulse Rifles to be proliferated eventually and be some kind of half AR half energy set, and then these petless abominations will be done for.

Also: Do certain contacts at the edge of Founder's Falls still have DE (of higher level than the Heroes visiting the contact) occasionally attack from the cliffs above?
If so, please consider an adjustment to the spawn placement and thier wander path, or move the contact.

Quote:How would this work, and what would it do?Ready Check
This is self explanatory. Its something helpful after a large amount of your group goes Away-From-Keyboard after a mission or in between huge fights so you have some clue that the team is truly ready.

Team Inspiration Bar
The idea behind this would be a much faster delivery system for those that have inspirations and want to get them to archetypes that could make the most use of it. Instead of right clicking, selecting a player name, and getting in range of said player, the team inspiration bar would be a dumping point for these inspirations. No longer would people have to spend inordinate amounts of time asking: Does anyone have an Awaken? Or the ever classic: I have a yellow, and two blues... How about you?
.
This feature could be abused by players and be a point of argument if people get a little too liberal with how often then dip into it, but the overall effect should be a better team experience.
It should (IMO) be a one-way dumping point for Inspires, and when the team dissolves to a single player, it dissolves as well, deleting the unused Inspires.
Quote:Status Balloons
When youre thick in the middle of the fight healers do not notice those tiny icons that indicate whats wrong with a player. Making a key that allows a player to call out whats wrong with their character could mean the difference between a team wipe and surviving an encounter. Ensuring that the players can see the Status Balloons even if theyre not facing the affected player is also something that should be considered.
I've always been an advocate of having the character's AT icon in the team window be replaced with a "confused" emoticon if Held, Sleeping or Stunned. -

Quote:A couple of thoughts here.I'd like to see a couple changes to contacts in this game.
First, and most important, with the success of team sidekicking I'd love to see contacts stop blowing me off because I outlevel them. Yeah, I can go back and do the missions through Ouroboros, after I hit 25... but it doesn't affect my standing with the contact, and sometimes I just want to finish something up before I hit lev 25. It can also be important if a contact is added to the game after I've already outleveled him/her/it.
1) I always thought that by going back in time via Ouroboros to go do some work for a contact, I would be changing the past. But I get back to the present and the contact doesn't even know me? That means that my actions never happened and my efferts were wasted.
This kind of sucks for those "completionist" types who like to see all of the contact bars filled in thier Inactive Contacts tab.
2) If you want to finish up something before you hit level X, you can always turn off XP in the options. (Okay, this isn't a popular choice, but it's there.)
Quote:Instead, I'd like to see my contacts continue giving me whatever mission was next on their list, and auto-sidekicking me to the mission level if I've exceeded it. Then I can finish it up properly, or go back and get a contact that I wanted for concept reasons (my martial artist on one server wants all the Asian contacts) that I may have missed because I got in a really fun team on a double XP weekend. Quote:Second, Does anybody actually buy enhancements from contacts anymore? (Devs, you've got a way to datamine this right? when was the last time multiple enhancements were purchased from a contact by a player who'd been in the game more than a couple weeks?) Lets have the contacts sell something relevant... invention salvage. Contacts seem to have two stages of sales availability, so for the first stage, give each one a different common salvage that seems appropriate to the contact (like somebody who gives Clockwork missions having Clockwork Winders available), and on the second stage of sales access, give them a similarly appropriate uncommon salvage.
In addition to making contacts relevant again as a sales tool, it would help stabilize some of the more obnoxious shortages of some salvage on the market.
So I suppose this isn't too insane, and might be the carrot to bring people into actually doing the regular story arcs.
Choosing which Salvage is appropriate to which contact isn't always going to be as clearcut as the Clockwork Winders example, but I'm sure we could think of something. -
Quote:1950's Sci-Fi style? Cool! I could use that, as I've already got a Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon-inspired MM.3. Fish bowl helmets. Seriously, just a glass bubble around the head with hair limited to short hairstyles. Why is this such low priority?
My list:
1) Immob protection added to Inertial Reduction, either for self or Self+Teammates in the aoe.
2) The ability to set a thumback on the map via a slash command, using the /loc coordinates. Or a toggle to turn on a self-updating readout of you location using the coordinates as you move.
3) A curly pig tail. I waited a heckuva long time for my namesake to get hooves, next I'd like a slightly better tail than coloring the demon tail pink.
4) An update to the LFT flag system, and an ingame tutorial to teach folks how to use it. It's a good system (although it could use a couple of tweaks, like adding "looking for AE" or such), but when people are using Broadcast to find teams, something is wrong.
5) "Prestige Sprint: Flee", allowing me to use the flailing arms run of a panicked civilian. Because it's amusing. -
Quote:Yes, Phuket and Bangkok. Because one night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster. Why go to Roananpur, when you can go to Phuket?
Oh, and Istanbul (not Constantinople). -
...add a third type of Salvage (Archaic) to the existing Salvage lists of Tech and Arcane salvage.
For some bizarre reason, when they were introducing Cimmeria.....Cimmeron.....Cimerora(?), I had this odd wonder what type of salvage would really fit drops from the Roman Era.
Worn Sandal, Broken Clay Pot, Chariot Wheel, Spear Point, Dagger Hilt?
So what are you glad that they haven't done?
("Re-hiring Jack Emmert" is already assumed.) -
I have Whirlwind on a Brute, just for "teh lulz".
I only use it for a very few things:
1) During Rage crashes, when I'm not going to do any damage anyway and don't care about the KB.
2) To sweep through a room throwing critters around, agggroing them to follow me into the next room.
3) So that (followed by Bile Spray), I can spin around in circles and vomit.
Other than that, useless. -
A three-parter. Visit the top of the globes in AP (Top Dog), Warburg and Cap Au Diable and get "Globetrotter".

I Could have been mistaken about that one login badge, since I was so surprised by thier lack of vet badges and such in light of that 1st anniv. badge.

I agree with and I support the idea described by the OP in the first post of this thread for reasons already given by other posters.
In other words.....

Quote:It's times like this that I miss the old forum's *smirk* emote, so I'll just toss this picture up.Depends- will they be watching their SOs wither away, dealing with greatly reduces efficiency until they turn red, or will they be buying fresh stacks for combining so their power level stays constant?

Quote:When I ding L45, I'm going to have to purchase/craft 3 IOs. From there to L50, I will end up purchasing 11 more IOs for a total of 14.I think it's odd that some players find to to be a hassle to replace SOs.
When you ding L45 and are a SO-only character, how many will you purchase between that moment until L50?
