  1. As seen in these threads (yeah, they pop up every now and then), asking folks not to fight you in a PvP zone doesn't work. You just get the same old arguments and such.
(Okay, I never bothered asking someoine to back off, but I'm going by what I've seen in these threads.)

But what about trying something like this:
    Me: Ow. Good Shot.
Me: Say, how many points of Rep did you get from that?
    You: <Any Response>
Me: K. See you in ten min when the timer resets?
    Me: <moves on to something/somewhere else>

The way it is now you either gotta place several bids in order to cover whatever level someone will end up getting and putting up for auction or you have to get really lucky and pick the right level.

Not sure if I explained this adequately. Anyone else think this could help?

I like this idea as well. There are times when I want a particular recipe or crafted enhancement, but have to play the waiting game and I don't care about the level so much.
I could leave multiple bids up, each for a single item of a slightly different level, but if more than one of those fill, I will feel it to be a waste.

As for limits to prevent Marketeers from hoovering up all the "good stuff"? Well, I'm not too concerned if one slot can already be up to ten items of a single level and the new bid is only one item (of a ten level range). Same either way to me.
  3. When Duo-ing, or even Trio-ing the single-target version would be prefered. Then what?

As a /ForceFields MM, I would prefer PBAoE versions of my two single-target ally bubbles. But I'm sure that my FF/Energy Defender would be happier to retain hers as single-target, but higher duration plz?

What if there was a way for characters to cast the same power two different ways? With, let's say Deflection Shield. I take Deflection Shield at the trainer. In the Enhancement Management screen, it shows up as one power with two side-by-side icons. Slot it to taste.
In my powers bar, there are two seperate Icons. One for a single-target buff, one for a PBAoE.
The balance? The PBAoE costs a lot of End, but gets everyone in the AoE (self-excluded). The Single-target version is low-end, but has a greater range.

    Any particular reason?

What if instead it were just plain $Inf, with no Salvage requirement? Less Salvage leaving the system, more Salvage available for supply-side.
  5. Entering a PvP zone for PvE goals, I follow a specific set of personal rules.
    1) Do so when the server population is low. 0400 Pacific works okay.
    2) Shut off Broadcast (just like in PvE zones)
    3) Keep Quiet.
    4) Keep Moving.
    5) If goal is blocked by hostiles, move to a different one.

    But that's just me,YMMV.

I'm okay with the Shivans, Warburg Nukes, etc. I used to go after them, but in recent times, I no longer bother. The only thing I'll PvE in a PvP zone is for the badges required for redside Accolades.
These bothered me. I always felt that the real reason to include these badges wasn't primarily to goad PvE players into PvP zones, but to level-lock the Redside accolades. Blueside did this by putting Exploration badges in Hazard Zones, which redside doesn't have. I felt that if they wanted to level lock the Redside Accolades, they could have done so by swapping out the PvP Zone Exploration Badge with a PvE zone Exploration Badge plus a Level Badge (Soldier, Captain, Made, etc.) plus some annoying to get badge (Venomous, Infiltrator, Unvieler, etc.).

Telling them that greyed-out means already teamed doesn't help. They just call you a liar and insist that you join them. After all, you were available on THIER search, therefore you must be available to team with THEM.

I still believe that a tutorial on how to set/use the flags (as well as an update to the existing system) should be added to the game.
  9. It's certainly interesting.

Personally, I wouldn't bother upgrading an IO just one or two levels. The increase in it's bonuses just isn't enough to be worth it.

Now, I have a L19(?) crafted IO that I can't give away on the BM. (One of the Recharge Intensive Pets sets. I crafted it because it dropped and I thought another character of mine could use it to get the last bonus out of the set. Turned out to be a duplicate.) If I bumped it up into the 40's, it would be worth something. But if that costs 20 Million+, then I'll probably be taking a loss if I try to sell it. So I'd be worse off than if I deleted it now.

If the cost of upgrading is too high, then it won't be used.

Oh please, they might as well give out badges for being logged out. Maybe different ones for logging out in different places.
    Rediculous.

I would guess that most RMT'ers have multiple accounts and just do the old dual box swap. I doubt adding this feature will open the RMT floodgates or anything, although I do understand your concern.
I'm thinking in terms of delivery from RMT company to customer. With the customer having only to give his global name, rather than any more account details, he would feel more secure in doing so.
Making it 'feel' safer would seem to me to be something that would encourage more players to use this service, whether or not it is safer in any way.
They still run the risk of credit card fraud and such, of course.

Unless I'm wrong in how the RMT<--->Customer interface works, since I'm making assumptions.

I don't really care about a player Emailing Inf and such to his own characters, since such transfers are both unneeded and possible under our current system. I just see very little need to be able to do so in a player to player manner. Sometimes legitimate players will want to trade with each other at a distance much larger than can be handled by our normal trade interface (what is it 15-40ft?), but how often does that really come up?

His stories about PuGs are amusing sometimes, whether he is or isn't the first one in the story to be a jerk.

    Discuss/add.
"My level or higher"=Not interested in Exemplaring. Player is probably unfamiliar with the current state of SSK'ing and Exemplaring.

"not interesting in teaming", yet not flagged as "Do Not Accept Invites"?
    Two theories:
    1) We need a tutorial on how to use the Flag system we have ingame. Too many people fail to understand it.
    2) It's someone who just wants to have a reason to snap at people for not reading search comments, so doesn't bother to red-flag. That way, they can later post about the "rampant stupidity ingame".
  17. Yes, we definately need to add the ability to Email Inf in I-17. That way it'll be even easier for RMT'ers to transfer Inf to thier customers and thier "bank toons"!
    Awesome!

    Bah ******* humbug.
  18. You would have better luck getting a new blast-type powerset with a different emission point, like say...a point a little bit forward of the left hand. (make all of the blasts fired one-handed.
Then, using the existing weapon customization tech, allow people to choose the item in the hand: Laser Pistol, Magic Wand, etc.

Think Terminator. I do understand the copyright issues, but there has to be a way this can be made to work.
Agreed. Terminator isn't the only thing that people think of with Robotic+Skeletal, though, so it's possible. Think Necrons.

I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about.

Anyone can get a set of wings at L1 on thier 1st costume slot if they have the vet reward OR craft the recipe.
At L20+, L30+ and L40+ they can get additional costume slots to have wings on that particular costume, and at any level (L1+!) they can turn in Halloween Salvage to unlock an additional costume slot, which can have wings or not.

Are you asking for multiple layers of wings on a single costume, like a beetle or a dragonfly or something?

How many Animes have this, again?
    Like this?

    ?

Or the "Multiple Tech Wing" version?

Sure, it's coming in I-17, but we don't need it.
You can already do this several different ways.

    1) Transfer via the Market. (One character puts a low demand item up, other character overpays for it.) Any server, but same faction, small transfer fee.
    2) Make arrangement with another player. Any server, cross-faction if agreed. (Some may charge an exchange rate.)
    3) Drop valuables into base storage, have another character pick it up. Same Server, Same Faction, Same SG.

    What else do you want?

Edit to Add: Every character in this game can be financially self-sufficient, not like what I've heard of other MMO's.

And, it has to be admitted - twinking by the person's other characters/sg mates/etc.
I don't have a problem with the twinking.
I just doubt that if a character is intended for Fully-IOd-to-the-gills PvP that those other wealth generation methods would be sufficiently fast for someone who just buys insta-50.

Maybe it's time for me to go visit the GR section and see whether there's any Dev quotes there, or just the kind of baseless speculation I can do myself.

Nope. Nothing but guesses, hunches and speculation in there.

  25. I would assume that the Corruptor would be the better at solo PvE, based on my own experiences with soloing a Kinetics Corruptor.
