Doh! The Croatoa maps! As long as they allow the same number of objectives as I used, then it could work.
(Edit: Croatoa maps 1-4 not allowing my collection items in mission 2, using Eden map and explaining Trop Transport away as "Second-hand Arachnos-Surplus")
My other arcs were much different, being set in 4-5 small maps (using stock foes) rather than this one, which uses two large maps with custom foes. Multiple short missions are easier (for me at least) to set up a storyline.
Quote:I put in two female dolls, one male (which I could change to female) and a "huge" to repesent a "baby". I had two minions, 1 LT and a boss. With only two missions, I was pushing over 50% of my data allotment.I liked the whole doll angle. If it were me (YYMV) I think I'd be working to make them all look pretty 'girlish', like you did with one of them, a minion I think. Girls have girl dolls pretty much, right? There might be stuffed animals as well, I see those used on children's memorials a lot.

I think the arc mainly needs a bit more "meat" to set everything all up, and wrap it up. The beginning felt a little bare-boned - why did Dent approach me instead of another hero, or how did I come across this group that needed saving, something like that. Think story flow - begginning, middle and end. One idea that occured to me was that maybe as part of that 'end' that drowned girl could make an appearance as a boss fight? Just thinking out loud... about The Ring.
Scary lives on atmosphere, so try while you flesh out your story, work towards that. That's hard for me to to give a real descriptipn for though. :P
Also - all that sonic was rough! Fortunately I was running a 50 scrapper with regen.
If anything else comes to mind I'll let you know. Hope this helps a little.
Thank you.
Now has 2 minions, 2 LT's, 1 Boss. (Added 1LT. Will add another boss type if I'm ever satisfied with the Teddy Bear costume I come up with)
Uses new maps--Eden.
Has new arc number. (Had trouble getting map changes to "stick" otherwise.)

I wonder if my Fire tank can still get killed during the RoTP animation.

Thanks going out to @Heraclea for testing this arc.
Added text: Patrols of Haunted/Possesed Dolls calling out for thier mommy, crying for help.
Changed character models on some of custom group. Will probably re-tweak, as still only 90% happy with them. -
Quote:Or just eliminating that mission and have it replaced with a "Feel free to visit this guy in the Hollows" pop-up and put him on your contact list.I would start with removing the "Talk with David Wincott" mission. Now if it actually gave xp like say 2-3 bubbles worth
I wouldn't mind it so much. A better solution would be to make non xp generating talk to missions droppable without counting against your quota.

Quote:It's been a while, but I coulda sworn that Borea's Endless Hunt Missions were upped to 40 at one point, and some of the P.I. contacts give out hunt missions that are pretty high.
Incidentally, for someone with a better memory than I, what's the largest hunt in CoV? Personally, I can't remember a single one more than 10.
"Hunt 50 Carnies in P.I." ring a bell for anyone?
Edit: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Borea Says Borea gives out "Hunt 50 X" missions.
Edit: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Harvey_Maylor Says Harvey has a "Hunt 65 Carnies" mission. -
*shrug*
I support both Equal Opportunity and Villainy, so I would support EOV as well.
Unlike some folks. -

Thank you. I didn't want to bump my thread for the purpose of bumping, but there's another MA-related subforum within the "Player Help" section and I wasn't sure.
(Seems like the two MA-related subfora should have been together, IMO. That and Merging the Inventions Laboratory where Number Crunchers compared the mechanics of IOs with the Market section where Marketeers discuss the economics of the Market was also an odd arrangement to me when they merged the NA and EU forums into this new thing.) -
Quote:Agreed.I feel a lot of it is teething problems owing to incomprehensibly bad design, as in "I can't comprehend why this was done that way." The things most people complain about when they mention outdated content is either simplistically designed missions, time-wasting fed-ex missions or inordinately hard hunts. To that effect, there are a few things we can remove out of the game which should smooth out most of the truly major bumps.
1. Contact introduction missions requiring you to visit the contact. Gone. We don't need these. Replace them with a standard contact introduction or with a "So and so has called for you!" pop-up.
2. Security Chief missions. Leave those in the game for people who specifically hunt out Security Chiefs, but remove them from general missions circulation.
3. PvP liaison missions. Either remove them, have the info accessible via Security Chief or via trainer, or have the contact himself explain about the zone, rather than forcing you to travel to them.
4. Hero Corps Field Analyst visit. Remove those entirely and have the info available at trainers. Or better yet, make difficulty settings part of the tutorial, now that changes are free. Either that, or have a University-like special contact in Kings Row that pops up as soon as you come into the zone. Might not hurt to have one for Scanner/Paper missions, as well.
5. Mission rewards. ALWAYS give rewards for missions, regardless of what they are. Go visit Jim Temblor? Mission reward. Go chat with the PvP liaison? Mission reward. Go speak with your next teacher in the university? Mission reward. These aren't repeatable, so why the hell do they give NOTHING? Grant standard mission complete bonus for all fed-ex missions (they currently grant half) so that people may view them as free experience, rather than a waste of time.
I realise there are a lot of other improvements that can be made to streamline everything, but all the others are more specific. Do this, and we'll get rid of the major, most obvious irritations. Then we can fix the rest mission-by-mission.
I'd also look into why a generic door mission from a contact in Talos needs to be in an office building in KR, when an office building in Talos would work just fine.
And Reduce the Hunt Missions from a max of 50 in some cases to never exceeeding 20 (or maybe 25). Ever. -
If this thread actually IS in the wrong section, please let me know.

Merged Markets from the start.
Bringing over CoH1 characters and thier stuff, as I'd rather not build from scratch and abandon what I've already built.
Gore as a toggle option.
Hide/Show toggle option on badges that are incomplete.
More enterable buildings. -
If it helps, I promise not to whip out my little buddy.
They call him "Eeyore".
Probably because he looks so sad. -

Quote:There was a thread about breasts and that was not the thread the poster chose. Poster is in some kind of denial (don't worry, nobody is judging) or really is interested a Richard Nixon discussion. Why would you go to a thread titled "My Dick" and be surprised by the contents? Why wouldn't you avoid that thread? I say this as someone who also has no desire to see that. Heck Marcian had a sig of my reaction the first time I saw something like that on the forum.
In which case, Sorry, Political discussion is limited to the "Warburg" section. Perhaps they should be better labelled. -

Quote:*shrug*What would be the impact on existing supply/demand in adding more recipes to water down the current availibility?
Add a few more sets into the Purple pool....and increase the drop rate a tad to compensate?
I'd just like for a few things to drop a bit more frequently, so feel free to ignore my post. -
StalkrBob SneakyPants could get his full name and not have to lose that one "e"!
-
-
Likewise, would you have a University in each zone that has a Black Market?
You could do like in St. Martial, and add a "Abandoned Lab" that has crafting tables available, even though the building is not a full University.
Quote:4. DO and SO enhancements should have a little pop up description (or a description in parenthesis) of what type it is (Run Speed, Jump, etc.) when you mouse over them. I know this one has been addressed (look for the color, I believe was the answer from way back), but it drives me insane that after years of playing, I still can't tell what enhancements enhance what attribute. -
-
-
Well, good luck with that.
If you ever decide you don't need those PVP IO's, you can sell a couple sets of those for a boatload of $Inf (You already knew that) and fully IO multiple builds with some pretty good non-purple sets.
Now go on and teach those roomies a lesson! -
Look at the sets.
For example: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Gladiator%27s_Strike
If the enhancements say "Unique", then one enhancement (and thus one set) per build.
If not, then you can have up to five of each set bonus per build, regardless of whether it comes from one set or another with a different name.
Example: If six completely different sets (1 hold, 2 melee damage, 1 stun and 2 ranged blast) each give "+5% movement speed", then slotting all of them will only give +25% movement speed, not 30%.
If those six sets give +3%, +3%, +1%, +5% and +5%, then you get +17% (sum of all, because they are different.)
AKA: "The Rule of Five".
Why would you want the most powerful sets anyway? Isn't the point of PvP "The Challenge"?
