I can honestly see someone seeing a link between ERPvP and simulating Non-Consentual Sexual Activity. I might not crack jokes about it, but I certainly don't participate in ERP, with or without the "vP", as the E doesn't stand for "Rated E for Everyone" and you never know how old the other player *really* is.
Just seems potentially skeezy to me.
But hey, to each his own, right?
I'll be out there with the RP that takes place outside of the "bathing suit areas".
Now have fun, play nice with each other and um....don't let the Rularu get ya! -
Quote:With infinite values for the variables of Time, Resources and Money?I think some things are still totally impossible in the current game - like running on walls, for example - there's just no way the game engine could handle that.
Just whip up a whole new engine on a whole new set of servers, port all the content, characters and zones over during server maintanence times and Voila!
Problem solved and no one's the wiser!
Now, as for the reality.... -
-
Perhaps someday, many more things will be added.
The formula of Time, Effort and Resources will still apply. -
Okay. I like having options.
Since I-1, we've been getting more and more options. (Being able to drop missions, being able to have more than ONE at a time, etc.)
If you don't mind that many will skip this, then cool.
I've already had to play "find the mission door" with one particular redside arc that's been bugged for several issues. At least with your example, I'd have a clue and I'd give it a shot. Particularly if I knew there was a small reward for doing so.
(If the reward was small, I also wouldn't mind too much if I had to say "screw it" and take the easy way out.) -
He's not dead, he's just resting.
Or pining for the fjords?
But no, those faceplanted heroes aren't dead, it's just that there's no animation yet for "breathing shallowly, dragging himself down the sidewalk by his broken fingernails and bleeding out the ears". -
In theory, I like the idea.
But in practice, I'm sure that people will either ask on thier global or go to ParagonWiki to avoid the "penalty" of having the contact figure it out for you. -
Quote:Sure, why not?I wonder if it could be changed to suppress the movement penalty and some of the endurance cost under the same conditions that part of the defense is suppressed.
Oh, and while Stealth IO's can replace the Stealth power for some, +movement set bonuses can take the sting out of Stealth's movement penalty. -

Let me tell you....herding Tuatha gives you nightmares for a week.
Why can't those ******* things wear pants like Warwolves and Abominations? Even Dr. Vahz has some freakin' decency. -
Dear Virtue,
This is why I love you.
((No, not like that. Please keep your pants on, I know you're a Futa. Whaddya mean "How would I know"? I heard it in the D from like Eight people. let's just...be friends, okay?)) -
Quote:Okay, I'll bite. What IS your primary language, seeing that your sig is in English and you're posting in English? I am politely curious. It's not easy writing in a strange language...try mine and let's see how you do..thx for being around and making life so wonderfull for the rest of us :/
If it's French or German, scroll down a bit for boards completely in those languages. No translations needed. -
Quote:You were not met with overwhelming negativity, just a little bit of advice attempting to help improve your posting. Just calm down.Man being on forum's like this and trying to reach out and talk is har as it is....then some jerk need to get smart....wonderfull sir....thx for chasing me of the board's for good.
Anyway, you probably already know this, but you can achieve the visual effect of an aura on your armor by unlocking auras at L30+ through either your starting contact or the City Rep, depending on whether you are Redside or Blueside. Unfortunately, I feel that the auras are not enough to really do what you appear to want.
Good luck. -
Quote:We could *sorta* do this for the weapon.I had this idea....Let's say we could learn a profession like tech,Science or magic and then craft thing's like a weapon's up grade or maybe something for your armor...let's say i have a High tech armor waering guy weilding an hammer and shield....and i pick up the profession of sciense or what ever....and in that it let's me design something like and electir aura to your weapon and shild and possibly armor that give some sort of energy damage....it would make sense that when your shield is all made of electric curent or what not that whom ever besides your hero get zapped right ?
Nor sure how all of this would work but it sounds cool
Keep on coH'ing world !!
We could add a few more IO sets with varius types of damage Procs, or even have sets where the Proc is the only IO in the set. (To prevent stacking them in the same power.)
As for having the customizable auras on the weapons, there was a post yesterday stating that BaB had stated (second-hand info, I know) that having power customization (like colors, auras, whatnot) and having the ability to choose different weapon skins (like we can with the varuis swords/axes/etc. was almost an either/or proposition because having both on the same set was going to be a HUGE headache. -
I find that if you hit then JUST RIGHT, they'll drop a brass pair of these.
But you gotta hit them just right. -

Very well.
Some of the Redside zones are actually less Dark/Creepy than some of the blue side ones.
If Dark and Dreary were the only criteria, Galaxy City, Crey's Folly and Brickstown would qualify more than St. Martial.
And Dark Astoria is Darker/Creepier than anything currently Redside.
The Dark/Dreary vs Bright/Cheerful scale has some overlap. Even if Mercy and Grandville are the two most commonly thought of redside zones, they are not the only ones. Nerva, IMO has more in common with Indy Port than Mercy or GV.
But let's get more towards thread-track.
To add a Halloween-y or Coatoa-esque zone to the Rogue Isles, I would suggest adding (And I'm sure I'll forget a prefix or two) "La Isla De La Muertos" (or however the title was put together) from the multi-page thread in the Suggestions forum a while back.
The OP of that thread went into great detail regarding factions present, backstory and description. It was well-recieved and I do believe was intended to fill a gap in the level ranges of the SFs, with a SF being suggested therein. -
Quote:I'm up to five critters in the custom group, so far, but I'd add a "Teddy Bear" Boss-class as a Claws melee type if I was happy with the costume.Yeah, I'd give the dolls a few more melee sets. Not sure there's anything that really fits with my favorite evil dolls scene, but you could at least give them knives and axes.
Knives and axes though are interesting. I originally avoided melee types to prevent this from being targetted as a farming or herding map. -
Alternate Powers, mid-level tier
Improbable Leap: You jump at just the right moment to avoid horrific damage. By being in midair (or diving into water or over the cliff) you recieve 40% Def to AoE damage.
It was really his Twin!: If defeated, it will be revealed that it was actually only your twin that was killed, not you. Self-Rez, Very Long Recharge. -
Quote:False. The Rogue Isles do not have a Halloween feel to them, nor do they have any of the Croatoan foes.Becasue no one could tell the difference between it and thethe rest of the Rogue Isles?
But being 100% Blueside-only, (by your own admission) your perspective isn't first-person regarding the Isles.
Feel free to troll elsewhere and take some other thread off-topic. You seem to have free reign to do that. -
I like this idea and would like to see it fleshed out in greater detail. I'm sure that it has great potential to be a benefit to this gaming community.
I'd like to look for (and eliminate) any potential downsides to this. But I'm not really seeing too many right now.
This post, therefore, merits a "Pork Approved!" stamp. -

I'd rather have a Samuel Tow-run character in my team, missing one Rez from an otherwise support-oriented powerset, than to have the average PuG-player setup as a "Healz0r".
Seriously, if I team with a character that skipped the ally Rez in thier set, I'd have no problem with that, since we now have the ability to combine inspires.
How well they performed using the powers that they DID take would be more important. -
What style of character do you like to run?
Want to blast and occasionally throw a buff or two?
Want to Blast and DeBuff?
Want to fight side by side with your partner like twin engines of destruction?
The SS/WP Brute is fairly self-contained. -
Quote:Well, the idea behind the reality show was just to investigate and document, but as a hero, I imagine that you would want to resolve the problem. Looks like I would have to add an additional mission in order to do that.Thinking a little more, I think the main story point I'd like to see resolved is 'what exactly is animating these dolls'? The story, unless I missed something, seems to pretty much just treat them as a threat that exists, but doesn't address why they exist. And by the end as far as I know, they're still out there after I've rescued the woman and taken the cameras.
Thanks all.
