Yes. I voted for that and Electric Hammer.
Instead, Willpower and two sets well suited for sword&sorcery games.

    PvP IOs

Interesting, so if the magic number of "Gratz! You get a Shiny!" is rolled, then instead of it automaticly going to the victor, there's a 50/50 chance of it going to either combatant?

I might consider PvPing if that happened. As is, even my best-laid builds don't stand a chance in PvP, so I don't bother as all I can hope for is the chance to let some uber-PvPer get even better stuff so he can kill me quicker next time.
There's just no profit in it for me.

Now, apparently, there's another way to generate PvP IOs, if I chose to purchase GR, which I have not.
But despite that sad face emoticon, I don't miss PvP IOs at all. I am quite content with the IO tier that's just below purples, for what I believe to be better bang for the buck.

Do you have "Show Nipples" enabled?
  4. Cats? Next they'll want Ducks.

My main is a mutant critter, but I've accepted the humanoid skeleton as the flat out limit as to what we will get. The idea of a four-legged animal (not mutated to a humanlike frame) using some of the powersets available to us now is just plain silly.

Yes, I'm BBQ_Pork, mutant pig and Awesome Possum, mutant possum, but even *I* cannot support this suggestion as I just don't see it happening.
  5. Question is as title.

If your account is inactive because you've let it lapse, is your arc still playable by other gamers?

If your account is banned for a non-AE-related offence (like, I dunno, you swore on Broadcast, kicked a Dev on the last mission of a shard TF or whatever), would your arcs be playable?

Not sure what would satisfy you, other than some sort of infinitely variable mission generator.

If only we had one of those....
For maximum lulz, I recommend using the Random button to select your mission!

Go to this end of the zone and beat a warehouse full of Hellions. Now go to the OTHER end of the zone and beat ANOTHER warehouse full of Hellions. Now go and beat up 10 Hellions on the street. Now go talk to the Security Chief in Kings who will...make you kill 10 Skulls.
Note: Almost any amount of streetsweeping along the way (and you're pre-travel, so you easily just might) will cause you to up-level on the way to that mission, so you fight lower-level than what was on the sidewalk out front.

Not my problem, except when I tried to get rid of the Snipe and DefDeBuff Set IOs from the SG. Can't GIVE the things away.

I'll take those Malta tips if you aren't using them.
  10. P.I. vs GV.

    Both are L40+.
Both have base portals. (Possibly Vault+Crafting+Enhancent Bins+Salvage Bins, depending on the base.)

GV: located on a ferry line with one-zone transfer to St. Martial or Cap, both of which have full setup of Vault+Crafting+Market.
PI: One hop to Talos (Vault+Market), one more hop to Steel or Croatoa for crafting.

GV: Story/neighborhood Approriate? This is a matter of opinion of course, but....
Crafting: With Crey and others having high-tech labs here, an Abandoned Lab would not be out of place in a lower quarter.
Vault: I could see a Vault location near Haven House.
Black Market Truck? I don't know if Arachnos would allow a semi-truck full of unlicenced goods to make daily trips in and out of thier "impenetrable fortress" facade. Sure, Crey gets in all the goods they want, but as a megacorp recognized by Arachnos and able to print up all the neccesary bill of ladings, shipping documents and manifests, they can play within the game that is the Ego of Arachnos. We know that stuff will get smuggled in and out under the noses of the troops, but there's a limit as to how much, and for the brains behind the Black Market, there's going to be a limit as to how much bribe money they'll be willing to pay for access to just one more section of the Isles. The customers, of course, will come to them if they set up in a convienient enough location and St. M is business friendly.

P.I.? Story/neighborhood Approriate? This is a matter of opinion of course, but....I can totally see it.

So, P.I. first, then maybe GV.
  11. There's a Vault in Pocket D too, but getting the Black Market truck through would scuff the elevator doors something fierce.

A "Mustand" is a shortened version of "180 degree flying Mu-stand", a skateboarding trick that involves a half-flip and landing atop a Mu Mystic.

    Thanks in advance

Suggestion: Make it optional through dialogue. Say the contact asks "Have you heard of Bloody Bay, a PvP zone?" You can say "no" and get that talk-to mission that would be useful for newbies, or you can say "yes" and skip it entirely.
    Sure.

    2. Would be controversial I'm sure, but get rid of the sewers and create more level 1-8 content in Atlas. I hate to get started as a hero I have to solo mobs up to 5 to get a radio, or farm the sewers in order to access better content sooner.

Suggestion: At this point in the game it would be a pipe dream to get rid of the sewers, so have content to encourage heroes to do other things. Give access to radios to level 1 heroes and allow Atlas to host level 1-5 content.
Atlas Park doesn't have L1-5 content?
Antonio Nash, Azuria, Jonathathan St. John Smyth, Rick Davies, Susan Davies and Sunstorm are sad now. You should send them chocolates, plz.
  15. I just turn on SG mode and never look back.
Any worries about how much that cuts into the "dropped Inf" are pushed aside as being nearly meaningless. I sell all of my unwanted drops at the Market, at lowball prices to keep my sales moving and avoid "market constipation" (a condition where all of your slots are clogged with product that just doesn't move, leaving you with a backup of excess drops).
Every now and then, on a leveling (i.e. Non-50) character, I look at the progress bar for the earned Inf badge and compare against my total Inf. Quite frequently, the Inf gained directly from defeated foes are about 7% of the total. Would be less than 14% if I stayed out of SG mode.

As for bombing through with a L50? Sure, that would give the most Prestige/Time ratio as I increase the difficulty as high as I can go without slowing the killrate significantly.
  16. Not much point in having a vault in a zone that doesn't have a Market or a crafting location.

    Taking the ferry you have:
St. Martial (my preference), with a vault, a Market and the Abandoned Lab
Cap Au Diable (more popular, shorter walk from the ferry to the Market, university and Vault)
Sharkhead, with a Vault and a Market (don't think there's a crafting location, but there's a base portal.)

Depending on your base, you could take the base portal and use your VG's Vault door, Salvage Bins, Enhancement bins and crafting tables.

There's no Black Market truck in Grandville becuase there's so few spots for it to park. That and the last time they were there, the driver got food poisoning from the meatloaf at Haven House.
  17. I could go for an Energy Rifle / Laser Rifle set similar to Energy Blast, but with:
Some Energy/Fire (rather than Energy/Smash) attacks with a -Res effect (To simulate "Laser burning holes through things")
    and/or
Some Energy-only or Energy/Smash attacks with a Chance to Stun effect attached.

They do get a cool-looking "Sprint" power with that crazy panicked run that they do.
Of all thier powers, I want thier "Prestige Sprint: Flee". That's all. Just that one.

    Agreed.
If I memorized the recipe, chances are I did so by crafting far more of them than that character needed.

Edit: Sure would be nice if I could get it to only count Set Recipes and not generics.
    Currently, I have two options:
    1) Get rid of all my unwanted recipes first.
    2) Disable the prompt entirely, making the "useful salvage prompt" not a useful prompt.

  22. My son took me down twice in PvP.

When he was a baby, he was sleeping in a little reclining seat by the computer. I was in Warburg, gathering launch codes. As I got the last code, I rushed to turn them in. He rustled a little in his seat, as he was almost awake.
I got to the terminal and clicked on it as he opened his eyes.
As the rocket started to take off, he arched his little back....."BlooooOOOOooorp!"
Guess I got a Biological Payload onthat one.

After he was more moblie, I was in Siren's Call, gathering badges, keeping my chatbox closed, never stopping more than a second and a careful eye out for potential foes.
BLACKSCREEN STRIKE!! Computer starts to cycle and I look down to see his little finger on the oh-so-shiny button on the front of the computer. Awesome design plan, guys.

Nowadays, he sits on my lap and watches my "shooty robots" and demands to turn my character's rocket boots on and off. Some random button-pressing and the theft of the mouse's wristpad.
  23. I stayed because the game had many features that I liked, particulary some design decisions that other games went the other direction on.

Because the community was decent, at least once I changed servers.

Because the amount of happy fun time for 15$/month is much greater than what two theatre tickets will give me.

Because every issue gives me additional benefit, and while not every feature is usable by me (like TFs, raids and such), there are always at least some QoL improvements. And I don't have to pay for the additional upgrades that are the next issues.

After playing that pen and paper RPG since the '80s, I'm burnt out on the sword & sorcery genre, so MMOs on that theme are out.

It's not a perfect game, and there is both room for improvement and a few design decisions that I disagree with, but overall, it has more good than bad, by an amount worthy of my money so far.

  25. When my son was younger, we taught him to carry his diapers (which he called "Diapohs") to the garbage can, which he also called "Diapoh". He then refered to a garbage truck as a "Daipoh Truck".
