  1. Someone once mentioned a specific door that led into your "personal room." I kinda like the idea, but at the same time, it's like "What's the point?" A player goes in decorates and then never has reason to visit it again. Lots of time and coding for what? And don't you think it's hard enough for many SGs to raise prestiege for rent without their members saying "No, you can't have any of my prestiege because I need a million to place the Lord Recluse helmet in my room"

Again, it gets back to common goals versus personal goals. If personal rooms were free, then maybe. But I still think they'd be fairly useless.
  2. I was under the impression you could bring coalition members with you, provided they have access to your base and are raid-ready themselves?
  3. i briefly tried it and too thought it was a bit unweildy. Would've much prefered the jump pack from villains. But this seems to be tailored for superspeeders and SJers in Grandville and not new heroes.

I was also a bit disappointed in the costume extras. Didn't seem to be that many that I found. Justice/Sinister shoulder, boot, glove option and a new pattern on bottoms. Did I miss anything else?

Hopefully the tiki lounge will make this purchase a little more worthwhile.

We are a fun, friendly SG that is one of the top hero groups on Triumph. We are on the third plot size and raid ready. While for the most part we are PVE oriented, we do dabble some in PvP and do some InstaRaids and plan on getting our Item of Power when they come out. We have Ventrilo, schedule events and taskfoces, and typically just have a good time.

We look for active, mature folks who like to have a good time and play in SG mode when possible. (Rent isn't cheap) We do not role-play and we don't do much PLing unless someone is desperate to make the cap on a TF or something.

Motto: Debt: Always better to give it then receive it.
  5. Chiming in again having done some of your ideas in my own base and done an IntaRaid with a coaltion.

    1) high ceilings worked in our favor. Not the entire room. But we dropped a couple blocks down and put the anchor waa-aa--y up there and covered it with the arcane light. They were only able to find 2 of 6 anchors and only destroyed one. My SG is full of fliers so I left most of them high. Being a blaster myself, I just hovered and dealt death from above since no one looks up. They also had two bubblers and the high ceiling let me get around them easier. You're light trick was spot on though! They asked where the rest of the anchors were at the end of the raid! muah ha ha!

    2) Inpsiration storage. We weren't allowed to take from storage during the raid. Only the tree allowed us to buy them. That sucked. At least we had that though! lol

    3) The pain field is so cool to look at (arcane version). He didn't seem to be very effective however. (Was hero vs hero though) Any smart stalker would avoid it and it's range isn't large enough to worry them I would think. (I wish I could keep it as a decorative item.) The chill cannon wasn't much liked and trashed, but they spawned right in front of it so that might be why. We also had an elite energy beam in the vault but the vault didn't see much action. I like the idea of the elite anaylzer (drops def/res). I imagine if it kinda just sat there and an attacker didn't know what it was for, they'd leave it be. Currently we only have 2 secure rooms so I think we are going to lose the pain field for the elite chain gun at some point.

If I were to add to this guide, I'd say if you have the space, put down TWO infirmaries. Our attackers camped one but since we had two, the rez took turns where it put us and we could escape the camp. And a good tactic is to destroy the rezzer so defenders have to go to a hospital.
  6. Nice post! Lots of things I might not have thought of on my own! And I never knew you could get rid of an entire section of a room. Woot!

I've only done one insta-raid so far and one thing that got me (as a defender at the time) was they left one pocket in the ceiling where a flyer (blaster, I'm assuming) hid. It wasn't until I was dead on the floor and looking up at the heavens to discover what had killed me! Very sneaky!
  7. I agree! The prestiege system currently stinks. Making 3 or 5 pts per kill will make getting your turbine generator placed a couple years in the making! (at 1.5 million to place) My Hero SG is one of the top ones on Triumph and trying to upgrade to the second base plot took us over a month. Urg.
  8. Hero Group "The Debt Brigade"

No themes. Just a friendly and active group that plays together frequently. We schedule TFs and have a sweet base with MOST of the amenities (TPers, infirmary with inspir dispenser, 2 workshops, defenses, etc.) We have a pretty big coalition so there's generally always someone on to team with.
