It's not flaming at all, it's a statement of fact. You happen to be looked down upon by a very large proportion of the playerbase for your repeated poor behaviour. It's occured that many times that many people have directly experienced it on their various characters, and you have (at least according to Bridger) been banned on at the very least one occasion. That assurance was obviously not entirely accurate since you are posting here now, and I am pointing out that it is people such as yourself who fall directly into the description Lode gave earlier in the thread. I'm not going to make any attempt to sugar coat it or pretend to like or tolerate you, because to be blunt you've already exhausted all your chances for patience from myself and I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels that way.

To cut things short, you of all people have no place to be posting on a topic like this, stating that the real reason behind a person's feelings towards the game is out of boredom and not inappropriate behaviour. You are the personification of exactly the kind of behaviour being discussed, and the audacity of your post was through the roof.

Be sure to give them a complimentary smack in the teeth from me, it's ridiculous just how much they've wasted your time and money thus far. BT really are a disgrace when you consider they're meant to be our national provider (or at least were up until recently) and still maintain a strong monopoly at present. Their business practice and customer relations leave a lot to be desired.

Well the community certainly is clique based, but then most gaming ones are these days, Lode. I've noticed it going on around the forums a bit but to be fair the majority of people whether part of an established microcosm or not are very welcoming towards new players, there are as you say though a nearly equal proportion of outright idiots amongst those notable names; fortunately said idiots don't tend to get many people wanting to know them anyway and when they do chime up to say something ridiculous they're put in their place quite quickly.

I certainly can't claim to be innocent of clique mentality, like Generalissimo I tend to either play solo or with my own little imported community, it's a group of good friends who just stick together across gaming titles after sharing a tight-knit guild in a much older MMO that shut down. So usually I'm either soloing or playing with them, that said though I do socialise with others on a fairly frequent basis, and even if I'm not grouping with others I've met in CoH/CoV at the time I'm still quite friendly and talkative with them in /tells or on Global.

The only real advice I can offer you as a friend is that if you are finding the behaviour of certain groups of players to be unacceptable, and that it is ruining your gameplay experience, your best course of action would simply be to stop associating with those people and spend your time with others. If the problem groups have any sort of decency or integrity they'll start asking why you don't want anything to do with them and possibly even go as far as to reign themselves in, and if they don't then it merely confirms the belief they weren't worth bothering with in the first place; in which case you'll find you enjoy the game more for it anyway.

There are quite a few players with "Taxi" alts, they make the Hollows a far less grating experience for new characters and definitely deserve the recognition for it.

Cheers to Doc and Fulla, was the last opportunity I have to get the badges since I'm out of town for a week, but we got the Snaptooth and Handsome badges sorted this evening.

I don't mind helping people obtain badges even if they're ones I've already gotten myself (including the annoying "several hundred kill" gladiator badges), I play on Defiant but if you ever need assistance in getting ones you feel you won't have a chance to again, feel free to send me a tell. I still haven't had the time to do the group missions on Ave or my defender yet, at some point over the weekend I'll probably get around to it as I'd like to grab the badges while they're available, but I'm up for teaming with anyone else who still needs them sorting and prefers avoiding pick-ups. I don't think I can be bothered to do it on my villains seeing as they're overwhelmingly neglected for play time and only low levels, but if anyone needs a villain teammate in order to get them done I don't suppose I'd mind switching to help out. Still got a horde of arcane salvage that keeps growing larger, at present I'm having to split it up between several characters to avoid hitting the stack size cap. So...

I used it during the beta, don't know if it was supercomputer aux only but I was using a supercomputer for control at the time, so it's entirely possible.

That's the one, mega monitor's artwork is just a wall of monitors, getting them mixed up.

Of course, we shouldn't be having to use our salvage to make this item, since most SG's have gotten 5 SG badges and supposedly unlocked it as a permanent addition to the base editor... only it isn't there.

Just spotted that as I was considering which aux to place to boost the base control a tad, I have a holoprojector sat in my personal items tray along with a bunch of other stuff but decided that utlimately it wasn't worth placing at that cost.
