I don't think they should have made the acid grenades temp powers. Finding any temp power in the current way things are is pretty cumbersome. Simply unlock the doors for clicking as the acids are acquired.

I agree that FF MM's are in desperate need of a change. But this type of change has been discussed over and over in the MM forums and I don't like it.
A change I have suggested before is to normalize all shield cast times. Currently FF shields take twice as long to apply compared with Cold and Thermal shields. -
Quote:I'm not selling it short, there's a reason both my Tanker and my Brute(current main) are Elec Armor.I dont want this thread to devolve into yet another Elec vs In thread LOL.
I just wanted to point out, Always asumeing Inv is the King is total wrong.
And as always (I should sig it)... Don't sell Elec Short.
However if Elec starts outperforming Inv in survivability while also having all the other perks(damage aura, end management, recharge), then the devs would be compelled to "take a look at it". So don't sell Inv short. -
Quote:In my experience Marauder is the toughest part, but I play a Brute which has less S/L resistance(I do use oranges though).I definitely took cardiac. No easy way to cap sl res without it.
I don't know... Marauder isn't really the hardest part of lambda. I'd say the rampage to get the crates/canisters is the tough part. If that gets done right marauder is mostly about clearing that first spawn and then not standing in the wrong place, though I'm sure that as far as the big guy alone is concerned, your right, invul IS better.
still if you factor in my heal at about 33 seconds and my regen I think I net about 75 hp/second. There will be some invuls that do better, but I don't imagine they all do.
I did factor in your heal, and Invuln with a good spiritual build (300% regen, Perma DP) came out ahead in HP/Sec if both builds take the Regen Rebirth.
Also, the best Inv build I have has Perma DP and very high Regen(about 75 HP/Sec), Aid Self(another 75 HP/Sec), and then you can add the Heal/Regen Destiny(which adds another 75 HP/Sec).

I went for the very rare Core, and I'm now regretting it. If you're facing an AV there will likely be enough people with it to stack the 4x res, and the damage proc helps a ton against regular mobs, especially considering I have a damage aura.

Quote:I like Paralytic for Tankers. 20% -DMG, makes you think of the potential. I think an Ice/KM/Soul with Paralytic can get like a -80% DMG debuff going, which is crazy.Question about this all. I've got an Inv/Energy tanker who seems to be able to hold his own well. I'm planning on taking the radial Void Judgement and probably Barrier Destiny (for concept reasons). Now I'm wondering with the Interface power which way I should go, Paralytic or Diamagnetic. While my smashing/lethal resistance is awesome, I worry that my energy resistances arn't up to handling some of this stuff (they're in the low 30s. I've compensated some by boosting energy defense, regeneration, and HP).
The way I see it, having Paralytic Interface basically buys me an extra 20% resistance, once the proc starts stacking up, and combining that with Void and Barrier really hardens my resistances. Also, I suspect that Diamagnetic is probably the second most popular Interface power after Reactive, so the rest of my team will likely be providing that debuff anyways.
Thoughts? -
Quote:I'm assuming you took Cardiac, right? If he took Spiritual and the Regen Destiny buff, his HP/Sec should match yours if not surpass it.True, but it's going to have significantly less regen and depending on your choice of semantics, either a very slow heal or no heal... With solid recharge ele/ will have very close to perma energise and a heal ever 31-36 seconds or so.
Also with that much resistance to energy and s/l the need for those extra HP damp out the spikes that do get through def is substantially lowered.
I don't know the rest of his numbers, but psi is going to be at least decent on most electricals, and maybe even stellar.
Some of those crate guarding spawns in Lambda seem to be almost all seers, especially the sneeky one that shows up inside that little room... Maybe just my luck in the past few runs.
Against Energy in the BAF, yeah Elec wins out. But in Lambda the main issue is the S/L damage dealt by Marauder, and Inv wins there hands down. -
Quote:You should get away as soon as you see the nova fist warning on your screen. Just like the blue patches in the Apex TF, it's not meant to be tanked.I try Tanking on Super Ratz, my Willpower Tanker, when I got to Marauder, he kept taking a chunk of my health alway with that Nova Fist, Even if I didn't die by him, Just Make sure you have a healer on you when tanking or get the Destiny AOE Healing Buff. But i did some what well, I just need to learn how to handle the New AV's.

Having a lot of fun with it on my Super Strength brute. Double Rage+High Fury+Ion Judgement = Dead Mobs.

Quote:Did you IO him out? With all the incarnate stuff and IO's I'm at about 120 HP/Sec and softcapped. My main is a SS/Elec brute that I love to play because he is a lot of fun, I can easily farm +4 rikti and other mobs, and I can bring him on any TF, Trial, or Raid and can tank and/or do lots of DPS. But there will still be times when you will feel squishy though, and after a few years and despite doing really well with all the new content I find myself looking for a more survivable brute with similar damage output, though I have a feeling whatever I make wont be as fun as my SS/Elec.

My SS/Elec is +3 with Destiny and Interface at tier 4 since yesterday, woo!

There are multiple methods of overcoming the end crash, blue insps being the most accessible one. In fact, I20 added another great way to overcome the end crash, with the Ageless Destiny power which gives you an awesome recharge bonus as well as filling your endurance bar.

Quote:That's just general frustration with nukes, it has nothing to do with the argument saying Judgement is a replacement for nukes. So why would I simply not use BU-Aim-Rain of Fire-Fireball-Breath of Fire instead? Which is much less likely to get me killed AND won't drain my end to 0. sure, it won't be a spectacular one shot kill, but it's got to the point (for quite some time) where the pros of Nukes are by far overshadowed by the cons. I already know of people who don't take them (bar the crashless ones and RoA/Full Auto etc)
Fortunata's nuke has no crash...and thats clearly not broken.
I personally love using my nuke, and If Inferno isn't enough to destroy the mob, use a Fire Ball beforehand. -
With Gloom: Gloom/Incinerate/Greater Fire Sword
Without Gloom: Incinerate/Cremate/Greater Fire Sword -
Quote:It is terrible though, compared with every other primary. Farming's all about AoE damage which DM lacks.Terrible is not the word id choose. Mine tears it up, granted i do have 3 purple sets in it and very high rech but with a good build it can be very competitive to SS/fire without any rage crash for those that are tired of it.
A well built ss/fire vs dark/fire...ss/fire would be a lil faster but dark also has some nice powers in the set that are a good alternative option to the millions of ss/fires running around.
Perma soul drain/hasten, 2 heals,2 +end powers is nice and midnight grasp hits hard. Just because it doesnt have footstomp doesnt make it terrible for farming. -
Regen Rebirth is great, especially if you took the spiritual alpha.

Quote:Depending on your recharge, you can fire your nuke every time Ageless is up and have a full end bar. And if you have the Radial Musculature I think there's enough recovery there to bypass the crash entirely.Has anyone tried Ageless Destiny with crash nukes? Is it worth it? Or is it still better to just carry blues?
If you have boat loads of recharge(remember that Ageless gives you some as well), your nuke might go up significantly sooner than Ageless, in which case carrying some blues would be a good idea. -
Elec/SS is amazing, I'd bet that at least one of these is true:
-Your build isn't complete/you didn't plan it out that well
-You were on a bad team/didn't do the trials in a proper way
-You don't have your level shifts -

Quote:I don't see the need for removing the crash from nukes myself, but as long as I get a freespec I'll be OK with it.Regardless of the existance of Judgement slots or not Nukes need to be redone to remove the crash. It's just a silly limitation of those powers nowadays.
Let their Recharge, Damage etc being the balancers for nukes, this imposed crash is silly. Forts have had access to proper crashless nukes for 8 issues now and they're fine. Nice powers, suitable for a tier 9 power but not overpowered really.
Slotting Endmod in Adrenalin Boost and Drain Psyche will become pretty useless.
