Just to add to this whole thing, earlier on today i asked someone who had the white circle flag on if they wanted to team. I got the generic excuse of 'oh i'm logging in a sec'.
Not only had they set to looking for 'anything' which implies in theory that they wanted to do a tf but just before apparently going to log.
I say apparently because they were still there an hour later. So not only did they set to lft they lied to me aswell. I find alot of people do this. I'm sure anyone with some amount of sense would rather have an honest answer than the generic excuse that is 'i'm just about to log'.

hmm yes... anyway. Sounds to me like Palladium got the chance to do something he wanted to and took it. That's his decision and i wish him all the best . I think CoH has got a bit more in it yet before merges even become a viable option.

This is all fairly solvable by joining then asking what they're doing. It's hardly going to take anymore time than the alternative which is a /tell conversation.
It's just moaning about nothing, blind invites are such a small thing to get worked up about when all you have to do is move your mouse a couple of centimeters and click the shiny blue No button. Fact is if blind invites annoyed you that much you'd change the flag to red.
There are ways to avoid blinds, if you don't use them then your asking to be badgered and splattered with mash potato imho.

It takes all of 2 seconds to click the no button and seeing as you can't invite when someone is inside a mission i'd love to know how that's ever been a problem for you.

What annoys me is how people write 'always lft' in their search comment or something to that effect, but when you ask by sending a tell you get some snotty sarcastic reply saying "if i was i'd set it to 'Looking for Team'". To those people I'd say if your not looking for a team, change the search comment or hide. Some say it doesn't take much for you to send a quick tell but don't often even bother to reply to one, bit hypocritical if you ask me.

I can see why people often resort to blinds in all fairness.

Has anyone considered the possibility they moved the mission architect to i14 because of lack of developed content to actually put into i14. This would suggest that they are working on something else in-line with CoX, CoX2 for example

Just a thought.

I think Storm Summoning has enough to do with wind ie. Gust, Hurricane and Tornado. Don't really see the point in turning it into a seperate set to be honest.

I googled for irc channels relating to CoH and the ones i joined were dead or no longer existing. I could probably get a channel up and running on the current server i use for tOR and SGW, but i don't want to go through the trouble of setting it up if noone is going to use it

lol all these people on different servers would be nice to get everyone together on one. At least then we'd be more active as a whole better discussions etc.

I think it's always been the case that if you leave Cimerora while on an ITF team then it automatically kicks you out. It's not a bug as it's meant to do that. I don't know if it's an i13 thing or was always the case but it was mentioned on the forums somewhere.

Anyway what I was going to say is that Second Life is much more like what people are describing than CoX is or indeed a lot of other MMORPG's. LindenLabs may have more money but surely it would be a far more positive outcome for World.com if they sued them instead. At least then they could have some validity to their claims rather than just picking on the nearest small games company you can find.
If you think about it NCsoft was the perfect choice for a money grabber, not large enough to put up a really good fight but not small enough that nobody knows of it so it makes little impact.

If what they say is true, then this whole 'prior art' argument doesn't matter anyway. The original patent pre-dates the modern mmorpg so they are perfectly with their rights to sue. To be honest i'd rather they didnt and i hope NCsoft win but i can see this happening alot more in the future, with everyone losing money some people are going to be on the lookout for anything that could bring them an income.

These threads have been happening for ages and i swear people only do it now to stir up trouble. Friday comes along and someone somewhere feels the need to post something about server merges, no matter how it's worded. Why don't we all just make a pledge to ignore any topic with the words server and merge in the same sentence.
