Hmm, hero builder lists it as 10 end cost, that doesn't sound like it's right if the cost is minimal.

Just wondering if energy transfer makes aid self pretty much required. I'm planning out an inv/em and the taking damage to use it thing without a reliable heal scares me. Dull pain cycles slooooow and I have a tendency to use HP boosters to boost my max HP rather than heal myself.
So. Yeah. Necesary, or not really? I can fit aid self in pretty comfortably although it would require skipping Conserve Power. But then I'm hoping with an end reducer in all my attacks (and two in total focus) as well as all my toggles and stamina, I should be fine endurance wise. -

PopCap games huh? Were you at all involved with Bejeweled? A friend of mine got totally obsessed with that one.
Pixel art is relaxing, when I'm in the mood to. When I'm not and I have to force it and I wind up pushing the same pixel back and forth 50 times in a frame of animation before throwing my hands up in disgust and loudly exclaiming (as if to convince myself) "nobody will notice anyway!" its rather less relaxing.
And thanks for the offer, I will most definately be taking you up on it. -
Well Aid Self on any scrapper being bad is definately something I agree with, I think it's a really great power to boost survivability on an /SR scrapper, a set which has no self heals and no damage resistance, so when the random number generator is against you at some point, you have little choice but to die fighting or run if there's no healer.
Plus with /SRs defense it getting interrupted is basically not an issue. -

As someone who's duoed with a claws/invuln a LOT I can say that Stimulant is not a wasted power at all! Maybe in bigger teams if you're lucky enough to have a defender around with a mez resistance bubble, but I've found Stimulant is infinately useful to help get mezzes off of squishies who need it so they don't... well, go squish. -
Wow, that's a big compliment to my pixel art, that you think I work for a mobile phone game company.
But nope, never have. Though I've considered it in the past and another pixel artist that was moved across the atlantic and housed by a mobile phone game company to work for them fulltime has said I could easily get a job if I wanted to.
Really I'm just concerned about working with comissions and deadlines, and as this same pixel artist said the stress is rather high. It's an exhausting job with long hours. But I've always kept it in the back of my mind though, if I needed the money, since if you're good it does pay quite well.
Actually a friend and me are looking to be self-employed as it were and make a partially web and partially client based game. There'll be lots of pixel art for me to do in it. -

So I was futzing with a thugs/traps MM build today. And I saw something interesting when slotting for def:
Enforcer maneuvers: 13.23 *2 = 26.46
Forcefield generator: 15.68
Maneuvers: 5.49
Total = 47.63, which breaks the soft defense cap for your minions.
Is this right? Seems a bit high to me.
EDIT: Heehee, and I just realized you can use Detonator + Vengeance to stack another 25 def on it, even unslotted. -
More DA defense also means it's easier to drop Dodge and thus free up a power choice. Which is exactly what I did.

If you do, I have a helpful bit of advice for brutes teaming with MMs, as a brute who duoed with an MM nigh constantly.
If you want reliable aggro around a mastermind as a brute, you should be taking taunt or some PBAoE aura that has a built in taunt effect. The only other way is for the MM to play beneath their potential, which is hardly fair.
Just had to say that after hearing quite a few brutes complain about MMs "stealing their aggro" and finding out most if not all of them didn't have any taunt powers. -

Well in my case I'm 3 slotting it so one application will get me to the soft cap, since I don't want to have to rely on two applications which are far harder to keep stacked.
Then again I also stuck a damage SO in there. -

I'll see if I can do some number crunching soon about moving about a couple end reduxes. Though, really I think it'll be pretty slight a difference. Still, you are right.
I took health because I don't attach much importance to land speed if hurdle already takes me well over flight speed. With quickness I should go about at sprint speed (without sprint) which is fast enough for me.More might even annoy me.
As far as Elude goes, does it really NEED to be slotted? O_o I was under the impression that even unenhanced elude put you at the soft defense cap. So running toggles (no problem since your endurance regain doubles its base?) on top of that should make you basically impervious in PVE?
Mind you this is my first real def based character so I might be operating on some false assumptions here. ^^;

While I appreciate the advice (no lie!) this is going to stay. Really I've had street debt with superspeed when SKing, and when not SKing I shouldn't be dying anyhow. Plus I've already played one character with combat jump, sprint and hurdle to a decent level and found it was actually faster than travel on my character with flight. Between jump jet pack and raptor packs it's usually just fine to travel.
Shuriken are mostly thematic. I didn't know what else to take, really, at that level, and exploding shuriken is another AoE as well, so that interested me. -
Just posting this so if I screwed up anywhere people can wtfpwn me with criticism. And yes, no travel power. (hurdle + CJ + sprint does me fine and is faster than fly!)
Oh and I don't PVP.

Hmm, well, things will have to go ahead sometime next month, heh. I'm still at Augury's right now, and can't really co-ordinate something like this on the computer I'm using.
Besides, a lot of people are currently on holiday or the like, so the turnout wouldn't be very impressive.
/EDIT - On another note, I need to learn to log out when Augury gives me links, or she should start using the damn villainous board setting so I don't end up in her account, using her cookies. -
