Someone called?
I actually played WAR for a bit when I burnt out on CoH. It has some things that are much better than in CoH; fun pvp, zone vs. zone combat, open quests and more. Different, but not for everyone. I'm still a paragon addict but if I could play a 2nd mmo it would be WAR. -
I still enjoy AE when I feel like soloing. There are many stories to tell and experience and I enjoy many of those that reflect the time and effort that has been put into them. Yes, farms are a problem but they were a problem before AE so nothing has really changed beyond location.

When I started CoH, it was the first MMO I had ever tried, so I wasn't a terribly social person online and overall, shy. That said, it was a big deal to add someone to my Friends list at the time. I still remember the name of the first person ever to be added to Friends, and that I was in the Hollows on a Frostfire team with him. He eventually graduated to Global Friends.
Nice thing is I still keep in touch with him when he logs on, even though it's not too often these days.
Needless to say, a lot has changed since then. I now lead an SG full of people I'm proud to call my friends. Funny how that happened. -

This thread made me remember something fun I used to do waaay back in the day.
It used to be that if you sidekicked someone it wouldn't show their level as sidekicked up, it would show what level they were naturally. So, naturally I decided to take advantage of this little 'feature.'
A few times I would get a mission that would spawn an ambush when it was called in. I would wait to call and head to KR, ask a friend to get on a low level character, sidekick him and sit on top of the building while he was below.
Call in the ambush. Have the friend say something about shiny lv 50 ambush in broadcast. High level heroes would come to help clear it only to find a lv 6-8 wailing away at the 50's like it was nothing. The resounding WTFs in broadcast always made me laugh. -
