I'd like to third this. I love going to mercy with my /psy dom and using TK thrust (5 KB IOs) to literally launch mobs farther than I can see. I try to aim them at Kalinda sometimes, raining ragdolls down on new players.
I also love hunting for holes in the map. The devs have closed off many of my old ones but I can still wiggle under Atlas and get inside one of the radar towers in RWZ. -
EDIT: Re-purposing this post to keep track of who I've reported on.

Hello and Welcome to C! True Paragon Stories!
Today we tell the story of:
Silas!
Growing Up.
Silas 'Corrupterpants' Dood was born in the small town of Fire Rain, Wisconsin to the proud Mr. and Mrs. Dood.
As a child, Silas Dood had to deal with the hardships of growing up with a defender mother and a blaster father.
"It was tough for him at times." Mrs. Dood remembers, "He wanted to be like both of us. His father brought home all sorts of toys for him to play with, encouraging him to reach out and really blow something up."
Hard Times
Unfortunately, young Silas wasn't content in just pure ranged damage. As he grew up, Silas started dabbling in things like Debuffs and shields. His father caught him buying -tohit enhancements and they failed to protect poor Silas.
"[Mr. Dood] would get so angry." Mrs. Dood told us, "He would tell Silas over and over again that he couldn't be both a Blaster and a Defender. Such a thing was an abomination in Paragon City."
The Road to Rogue
So Silas left Paragon at the age of eighteen and took a job for Mook McMookser, crashing cargo ships into Port Oaks.
Mrs. Dood received some letters during that time, "He said he really enjoyed the work. He caused three major oil spills and got one ship so far inland they turned it into a bar or something!"
Silas used the free time to experiment combining blasting and defending. Eventually, grabbing the attention of a young Dr. Aeon.
"The kid had potential." The Doctor told us, "Real potential. I called some friends of mine and we put our heads together. It took a few weeks but we finally got it. Pure Awesome for all villains. Silas dubbed them Corruptors, after his great grandfather Polly Dood."
"Grandpa Polly used to tell me 'If ya can't beat em, corrupt em." That always stuck with me," Silas confided with us here at C!, "in here."
Where is he Now?
Silas went on to become a big man in the world of corruptors, writing several books on the subject. He now works with younger corruptors in the Rogue Isle, letting them know that they can too. They can always too.
This has been your host, Pumpernickel Van Ashcraft for C! True Paragon Stories! Tune in next week as we unravel the past of another Hero or Villain!
(Yes, I was bored. Yes, I'm sure Silas will get his revenge. No, you cannot have a pony. Yes, I will pick one of you next.) -
"What do you mean you don't have anything in my size?"

Quote:This is exactly what I want. Zones like Kings Row are especially copy-copy-copied in parts. It doesn't even have to be much, just one or two buildings that stand out, switch some textures... put a mercy isle roof one a kings row building, ect.Building-wise, I think the one thing I'd really like to see is more unique structures.
Sure there's a badge marking where the Paragon Times used to be published in Faultline (maybe still is, haven't checked in a long time), but the building itself looks identical to every other one of that type. No signage, no satellite dishes that one would expect on a news media HQ, nothing to distinguish it from all the other buildings.
Just give us a couple more buildings into the zone mix to break up the monotony. -
I found this bug as well. Popped up in one of my published arcs.
I did some testing and found these things do not affect the bug:
Enemy group
Object type
Triggers set on the object
If the object is rogue or enemy
Removing the objectives, saving the file, then placing a defendable object in the mission again.
It remains broken through all of these changes.
I also found that the system reports the object as being defeated by it's surrounding npc's at the first sign of damage, so the object takes 5 damage, system reports that 'NPC defeated Object; but the object is still alive. -
*Blows some dust off of the thread*
*Cough*
Removed my previous arc and made something a bit more fun.
Arc Title: Scheduling Conflict
Arc ID: #411118
Factions: Freakshow, Luddites, Goldbrickers, Arachnos, custom patrols in last mission
Morality: Rogue
Length: Rather short if you want to skip some content. Longer if you fight all the way through.
Level Range: Lowbie arc, auto-exempts you to lv 20.
Synopsis: Things have been a little slow for your villain lately. You decided to go check on Senior Arachnos Secretary Joan to see if she has any work for you around the Rogue Isles. -
Since you're level 20... I just made an arc set to that level...
Arc Title: Scheduling Conflict
Arc ID: #411118
Contact: Senior Arachnos Secretary Joan
Factions: Freakshow, Luddites, Goldbrickers, Arachnos, custom patrols in one mission
Morality: Rogue
Nothing very difficult to the arc, just some comedy for low-level villains. -
Don't know if you are still running this, but since I just finished designing a low-level villain arc I figure this might be a place to put it. :-)

That is a really nice list. thanks for putting that together.

Quote:I did both of these on my first villain. She has 34 temp powers in total. It's fun to run with her on test, unleashing tons of temps on whatever issue is being tested at the time.I tend to collect a particular kind of temp powers:
Any of them that put something in my hands.
My main character is just a walking arsenal, I have almost 2 full trays of temp powers that have some kind of 'draw' animation and an in-hand weapon.
It's a great trick at parties! =D -
"... and Blue Steel said his AE training program was set to easy. I don't want to see hard."

I just want to chime in and say I'm having this issue as well. Also Ohio/Time Warner here.
-
Quote:Wow. I never considered that possibility. Makes a lot of sense, though. That's actually not entirely unlikely. It would really depend upon when Blue Steel *ahem* encountered the Clockwork King when he was still human. He is depicted during that event as being a young man, but he may have had time to get his groove on and make a Penelope.

Hi Zeph and welcome to the Drama server! Don't take us to seriously and don't be afraid to ask questions. Hope to see you around in game!

Yeah, our group was in trouble. Sorry I had to leave early but sometimes life gets in the way of CoH. :-/

Quote:I second this. Ill/storm was one of my first 50s. Tons of fun and can be built in a few different ways. You learn the joys and sorrows of knockback, the evil glee of Phantom Army and if you go ice epics you can double stack ice rain and slow-stop a mob as well as Hibernate+Hurricane.I'd go Illusion/Storm.
It's actually an incredibly powerful combo. Just gotta control the KB.
(Snowstorm Rules)
(Thunderstorm Rules)
(SS + Steamy Mist = great for ghosting)
(O2 boost means you can heal your phantasm)
(Hurricane means baddies can't touch you or squishies near you.)
(I keep thinking of more reasons why it's awesome)
(Somebody stop me.) -
I feel so disconnected when globals are down, like I'm suddenly in single player mode.
