Id choose a roomful of these over your 9 foot long Australian spiders.

I agree... the half-baked red-neck americans are harmless

For what its worth. I am glad BAB's posted here.

BAB's isnt going to be the red name that will comment on the situation at hand, its far from his job description and I wouldn't expect him too.

I am actually glad he posted though because honestly I miss seeing his name randomly appear for no real reason at all. BAB's has been oddly quiet as of late and its really too bad since even the goofy off topic red name posts were still some form of communication and in some ways more important than official notices or comments on issues. We expect replies from red names in regards to in game issues, we expect to hear reasons why certain decisions were made. When we get communication beyond that, thats a level of service that I have missed dearly. Castle occasionally pops off with some good non game related comments, positron on rare occasions, but BAB's was always fairly regular until several months ago.

I am glad to see BAB's pop in with something not game related, it doesn't happen nearly as often as it should.

I thought it was called "Bob's Big Boy", it has that iconic 50's style fat kid holding a burger in the air as it's mascot, right?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The name varies from region to region. In my part of Ohio, they're Frisch's Big Boy. And their signature burger, the Big Boy, is quite good.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yup. That is my memory as well Arwen. It's called Frisch's Big Boy in that area of the country. I grew up in northern Kentucky 10 miles from the border of Ohio. Mom worked at Frisch's actually now that i think about it.

In Florida it's just Shoneys and they drop the big boy out front though. The menu's all say Frischs Big Boy though.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Did you grow up in Erlanger?

And I love their breakfast bar as well. It's so good.

Arwen, what you say about Boston Market is true as far as being something you can make yourself, but I think their point is that you don’t have to make it yourself. I certainly appreciate not having to make real mashed potatoes every time I’m in the mood for them. The other stuff is ok, and handy when you’re pressed for time, but not something I’d look for as a real treat.

    [/ QUOTE ]

True, but I'm kind of a food snob. Sure, I love fast food (probably more than I should) and there are some days that nothing but a Big Mac will cure what ails me. But if I want some mashed potatoes, I'll make the time to fix them. Theirs are probably instant anyway, and instant mashed potatoes are vile.

    Looks can be deceiving.

The only good one is McDonald's.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Really? I think American McDonald's is gross... which is wierd because I love the Canadian McDonald's, and yes, they taste different.

I'd love to try Sonic, just for fun. In'n'Out Burger is one I'd love to try as well. I'd even hit Shoney's for the burger buffet, if they're still doing it. I've never been to a White Castle. I've never tried Jack In the Box.

There are so many places in the States that look so delicious... Boston Market being one, I'd KILL to have one of their sammiches, just to try it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sonic and In-N-Out are both fantastic. White Castle is good, too, but their burgers feel more like you're just renting them. They're called "sliders" for a reason.

I've never had Boston Market because it looks like food I can make at home, but I've heard they're not bad. There are no Jack-In-The Boxes near me, though the Cincinnati stations carry commercials for them. I did, however, get to try Jack-In-The-Box when Phantom still lived in Tempe and I went to visit him. They're good stuff.

Glad you girls had a good time!!! I wish I could have made it but I was in hospital trying not to have this damn baby yet!!

If you girls organise another one I'd love to come along!

I hope all is well for you and Mini Noodle. Tell her the world isn't ready for her yet.

just so everyone know's A) Where I'm talking about and B) what I'm talking about:

    Check this

Where the Camera Jumps over the mountains. I pulled some tricks and dropped some cimerorans in but you can see the result isn't all that great. But it gives ya the idea of what I'm going for.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually, that's not bad looking. It has a little too much build-up, and your computer seems a bit laggy over the water, but once you get in the canyon, it looks great! I especially like the camera twist at the end with Imp and other notable Cimerorans standing there. Good job!

    Pancakes Malone

Phantom used to have a Tanker named Pancakes Jackson. I think he deleted him, though.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
Regardless of the circumstances surrounding his death, I'm really sad that he is gone. I always liked the sound of his voice, for some reason.

edit: or not, He was murdered!!! >:O I updated first page

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh man. Celebrity aside, who would want to murder a 72 year old? What kind of threat could he possibly pose?
  16. [ QUOTE ]
That really is what I meant. Though, reading back, it was not phrased well at all.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, it wasn't. I'm not an unreasonable person, and I only speak up when really irritated. That really irritated me, obviously.

I'm not arguing. I simply have an opinion, and so do you. It happens.

But, in any case, I don't want to further sully a thread that was created to commemorate someone that people cared enough about to discuss here. If you want to discuss it further, you know how to reach me.

    Wormhole?

    [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
I love Wormhole. On my grav/rad I'd grab a mob and chuck them in a corner, lay down an immob, and EF and let my team wipe them. It has a fast recharge and is just supremely useful, not to mention fun as hell.

I've seen it be a real pain in the [censored] with people that weren't used to using it, scattering mobs hither and thither. Even then, it's still fun to watch.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Pff, when will they learn to stick the reticle on the ceiling. Then you can start singing "IIIIITS RAININ MEN! HALLELUJAH IIIIITS RAININ MEN!"

    [/ QUOTE ]

I especially love doing that on outside maps, putting the reticle in the sky. The beauty of bouncing Hellions makes me want a smoke...

...and I don't smoke. It's just THAT. AWESOME.

what part of de mortius nil nisi bonum don't you understand

he was a hell of a flute player...

    [/ QUOTE ]

How is saying "I didn't like him as an actor" speaking ill of the dead?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's just unneeded. If you don't like someone for what they're known for, then why even post about them, especially in their death thread?

Everyone's entitled to like or dislike as they please, but think about the circumstances before you go spouting off.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm guessing you meant the royal 'you', as I didn't make the original statement.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes. You were just part of the pyramid.
  20. I have two written and published (see sig). I even updated Cry Havoc the other day after I figured out now to add some elements the way I wanted them.

I was working on a third, a villain oriented story, and realized about half way through that my basic plot was the basic plot of one of Scirocco's arcs.

I know what I want to do with the third arc, I'm just having trouble making it not suck.

    Wormhole?

I love it with my Grav/Kin. When slotted for lots of disorient, it lets you group up a mob tighter to maximize AoEs. It also helps with accidental aggro, especially in those large cave rooms with lots of mobs. Just the other night, my team was fighting a mob and a Blaster accidentally aggroed a second. I Wormholed the second to the Tanker, and the Fire Blaster laid down Rain of Fire. It was great.

It's also a lot of fun to team with a /Dev Blaster and Wormhole mobs on top of Trip Mines.

How about making 2 shirts available?

Shirt 1 would have 1st Place on the front with 3rd place on the back.

Shirt 2 would have 2nd Place on the front with 3rd place on the back.

I love that idea, and would buy both so long as they fix the typos in #3.

    Great job guys, and congratulations!

  24. This is really awful. I was shocked to hear the news, and the mixed reports are a bit distressing. I hope the actual story comes out.

I always liked David Carradine. I grew up watching Kung Fu and really enjoyed his work in Kill Bill.

    This sucks.
